It was my first Night Nation run. Lots of music(DJ’s all over the track) hundreds and hundreds of people of all shapes and sizes and colors. And yes, the $ 10 parking was quite steep, and I also paid the extra $ 5 to get my bib on race day. So all in all I contributed $ 50 to the Cancer foundation, which was cool. In my opinion, this is overrated, and I think it’s mostly because of the venue. Sparta, Ky… really? I realize that because of the sheer number of people and all the cars and noise and such, there was a consideration for crowd control, but this would have been truly a dope event if they did it in the City. Seeing as it was only a 3k, they could have pulled it off on either side of the Ohio… either in Newport or Downtown Cincinnati. Just think… the energy of the people, the lights, the music, and the city… that would have been nice.

This is one of the«fun» short runs(5K) I’ve experienced. The event was at the Kentucky Speedway. LOVED that is was open and was not claustrophic. If you like rave and electronica music, this is the run for you. This night run was a blast. You run through the Kentucky speedway track which there are DJ’s playing differet music in different sections. At the stations there are also water and beer to serve(also port-o-lets). I like how everyone gets very festive. You wear glow in the dark products(necklaces, bracelets, sunglasses, etc) and afterwards, there is an after party playing the coolest tunes! The price was only $ 35.00 which contributes to the Stand Up to Cancer foundation. What I did not like that it cost $ 10.00 to park(which was alittle to high for me and extra $ 5.00 to pickup your shirt/bib(if you didn’t pick up the day before). My second con was driving in they were handing out waivers which could have been avoided and given when we got out of our cars instead of holding up the car lines to pass them out. Also beer and foods trucks were very limited. There was only one beer station and food section. I thought there were going to be more to choose from. Other than that! What a great experience and fun run!
