Lone Sparrow Tattoo & Piercing Studio

This review is long overdue! I was tattooed by Dee Sanchez a couple months ago. I received 2 roses on my shoulder. The entire experience was amazing. Dee has a 2 step process. You first meet with him, he does a consultation to assess if this is a tattoo match made in heaven or hell. In my case, I have dark skin and he took the time to explain what my skin will and won’t allow. He was also very honest about his choice in selecting clients. Luckily, I made the cut. The second step was my appointment. Dee was on time, professional and efficient. He made me feel very comfortable (I was a tattoo virgin). At the end of my session, I didn’t want to leave! Lacy is his assistant. She is very helpful and willing to answer any questions you have. Dee is an incredible artist and person. He’s taken a lot of time to perfect his artistry and with that said… he’s worth every penny. I love my tattoo and months later, I’m still in love with it! Lone Sparrow is a great, clean and intimate shop. When it comes to permanently marking your body for life, it’s worth it to do your research and take your time selecting the right artist. I’m glad I did!

Dee Sanchez (Tattoo Artist) and I sat down and conversed about a tattoo that I wanted about a month and a half ago. I had three appointments (All of which were cancelled or rescheduled by a third party) with him over that time frame, and just recently I was told he doesn’t want to do my tattoo anymore. I am really disappointed because he’s one of the best tattoo artists in this area. I thought it very unprofessional and furthermore I was insulted that he wasn’t even decent enough to tell me himself or why he suddenly changed his mind. Horrible experience for my first tattoo.
I still think that he is a great artist but i am extremely dissatisfied with my experience and the fact that i will have to start looking for a new artist.

Had this amazing piece done by Dee Sanchez. I came in with a new idea at the last minute and he was able to bring it all together. A true artist. Not to mention he’s a cool ass guy and not too hard on the eyes

Love that this tattoo shop is family oriented and doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable bringing my mom with me to get my tattoo done ! Defiantly recommend them to anyone who needs piercings or tattoos !
