This was not a luxury experience, but it was a great experience. Two friends and I were traveling home from a big festival in the desert and we were in dire need of a shower and a nap. Nothing about this place is normal. We got room 52 which was consecutively after 14. We got our keys after being told a couple of different prices, which we would pay in cash. To get to our sleeping chamber we climbed a slanted, creaky stairway that was caked in inches of brown paint to a smoke stenched room with holes in the wall. The front door didn’t actually close(odd for a motel), but had a chain lock which was relieving. There weren’t many towels. The extras were given with a sleepy, tentative kindness. I felt like a criminal living on the run keeping a low profile. Wishing now, we explored the holes in the walls and ceiling for nefarious treasure. We popped the cork on some champagne. Assuming the other tenants would think it was muzzle flash. In the morning, we made friends with the neighborhood cats and took count that in all situations we are lucky to find ourselves existing.

This place needs to be shut down ASAP. We stayed here on our way back from Burning Man as it was the only hotel with a room available. I paid $ 118 for one night. The hotel is disgusting. I managed to kill 5 cockroaches in the bathroom while taking a shower. My girlfriend got bit by bed bugs through the night and was full of bites the morning after. The room was beyond dirty. The only reason we stayed is because we were exhausted and wanted to shower and sleep a few hours. Don’t go here. Sleep in your car. The lady at the reception only accept cash. I hope they burn this place to the ground soon. It’s beyond disgusting.

Holy Crap — We stayed here on the way home from burning man. We were happy to find the LAST hotel room in Reno after calling everywhere. When we called the man(who we later found out was owner/maid/maintanence *which property needed* /and probably the owner) He told us rooms were to be $ 99.00 … Which whatever it was 2am and we were desperate for a few hours of sleep after burning man /wanted a long hot shower. When we checked in he gave us the room key and told us room 36. We got to the door and found the door had a 3, but was missing the 6. When we walked in the window had clear tape all over it. There was a fridge that looked like it was from the 70s and there was rust all around the floor of it. This was a harbor for crackheads and we kinda knew they right away… There was a bed that was obviously crawling with bed bugs. we laid still on top of the sheets to prevent bed bugs. scared for our health/safety. When we jumped in the shower we saw stains all over the old shower curtain. The room had a musty smell of cigarettes. I was scared all night that someone would break in, since the area of the hotel is sketchy. There were some loud Spanish speaking people up all night/morning drinking beer on the balcony and had a really loud annoying dog. I assume they lived there. I was prepared to see rats or cockroaches, but never did. but it doesn’t mean they weren’t there. I question how a place like this can legally remain open. When daylight came around we immediately grabbed our gear and got the F outta there. I have stayed in some shady spots but this was beyond safe.
