I went to Silver Bullet Gun Works last week because my Remington 1100 stopped cycling. Luckily, Mike was available to look at it. Evidently, the last person who had it forgot to re-install the gas ring. Mike knew just what to look for and had it working within 10 minutes. At some point I will have to post some photos as this shotgun looks like something that will be in a museum one day. Thanks Mike!!!

I first went to Silver Bullet Gun Works on the recommendation of a friend; I ordered a pistol online and they did a great job with the transfer. I also noticed how low priced their reloaded ammo is; it is clean burning and the weight is more consistent with real defense rounds. I just bought a new pistol; at first I put money down on a consignment piece, to get it off the shelf; I changed my mind a day later and selected a different gun – a specific model they had to order, then, a day after that, asked for a different variation,(I am a pain in the butt customer); Silver Bullet Gun Works was happy to oblige. When the piece arrived I asked them to order and install a new trigger – this was my first striker fired pistol and I usually have work done on all my triggers. One of the owners, Mike, recommended that I hold off, put a few hundred rounds down range and then re-evaluate my needs. This really impressed me – accessories and labor are a significant part a gun shop’s revenue stream, but the owner of Silver Bullet Gun Works chose to make a recommendation that he considered to be better for me over merely taking more money – this is what we call integrity, people. Mike and Tina, the owners of Silver Bullet Gun Works, do business by treating people the way they want to be treated; they have earned my loyalty.

Ultimately, yes this FFL was able to transfer the guns I bought from an online retailer. How was their customer service? Terrible. They«offer» discounts for military /law enforcement but I wasn’t given this discount on either occasion I used their service. They charged me for each individual transfer as opposed to the offered«discount» for multiple at one time. Owners were rude each time I have been there and seemed bothered to do the transfer. Don’t offer the service of conducting transfers if it is something the business finds as a hassle to do for customers. While the owner was irritated to help me the other was arguing with another customer about a scope mount to be done. This shop is every bit a reminder of the Gun Trader and how they treated everyone who walked through their doors. I would NOT recommend doing business with them for any reason.

For some reason they don’t have a Unilocal. So I made one to warn people about their gunsmithing. DONOTTAKEANYGUNSTHEREFORGUNSMITHING. They ruined a very expensive barrel by doing a simple job incorrectly, then trying to cover up their mistake by painting over the barrel to hide the damage. BUYERBEWARE!
