This is one of our favorite places to go. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is great. Awesome French fries and hamburgers.

Flowing Tide was better than my husband and I expected! We decided on a whim to check it out because we have friends who said they had great food and drinks. We ordered wings, nachos, and a burger for the both of us to share. No more than 15 minutes upon arrival we had all of our food on our table pipping hot. The wings: crispy, meaty, and delightfully savory. Beef nachos: copious amounts of sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chips, meat, and most importantly cheese. Mushroom burger: cooked perfectly, perfect proportion with a side of sweet potato fries which were crunchy and delicious The atmosphere was wonderful, kicked back/come as you are/drinks for everyone type of place. All in all, wonderful date night, wonderful food, and wonderful atmosphere. From here on out, we will definitely be regulars at Flowing Tide.

Good grub, strong pours and friendly faces add up to a quality neighborhood pub, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Flowing Tide. Over the years I’ve had some inconsistent experiences at various locations that have left me wanting more, but it seems with the recent expansion, the Tide has made some great improvements to both the food and the service that have left me smiling on more than one occasion. Food is front and center at a pub, and I think hiring on Chef Ming, who has helmed many a kitchen in our great city, was a great call. The food quality and presentation shows for sure! Lets start with lunch. Take a look at the photo of the California Salad! A big portion of fresh lettuce, tomato, blue cheese, bacon, deli style smoked ham and roast turkey, topped with avocado and a great ranch dressing on the side. This is the kind of salad anyone would love, and it’s served with a smile too! Now lets go late night, during Happy Hour #2 at Flowing Tide 4! After a great event, I needed to eat and relax, and watching everyone enjoy the wings, I had to indulge. An order of Tide sauce and their hot sauce, plus an order of the famous beer battered fries on the side! The wings were pretty darn good, with a nice crispy exterior, but they were a tad tough and the sauce was too thin, just barely coating the wings. I also like things HOT, and even though I ordered the hottest sauce they had, I just didn’t find it hot at all. I’m hoping they have a secret sauce I can ask for next time! The fries are famous for a reason. Really delicious, and the coating on them makes them unique. Next time I’d order them extra crispy, which is pretty typical for my tastes. My one comment about these is that sometimes they stick together in the cooking process, meaning you get some that don’t cook quite all the way, and no one wants an undercooked potato. Overall though, these are a crowd pleaser for sure! Service at Flowing Tide is spot on. Smiles all around and a clear desire to provide an excellent experience to guests. At least that has been my experience. I’m looking forward to my next visit to a Tide nearby.

Good place to drink during their happy hours after work and late night. Good tacos and clubhouse sandwich. If you are a gambler, they really take care of you. Unfortunately I’m not.

Usually I go to the Flowing Tide on Longley, but decided to meet up with a friend here today. The layout is nice and much bigger than the other Flowing Tide but thats pretty much it, I didn’t eat here today only drank but here are a few things that confused me. First of all who doesn’t have Guinness on tap. Second I see what other people mean when they say they were ignored, It took about 20 – 30 Minutes before we were even noticed, I mean I was playing pool with a friend and we went through about 2 games before the waitress even came over and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. I mean they have a giant projector screen tv thing and like 3 more arcade machines than the one on longley but come on how about a little customer service. If i come here during happy hour its obviously not to play the pinball machine that would be ridiculous, i OBVIOUSLYAMTHEREFORBEER.

I will start with the positives as it always wracks me with guilt when I have to leave a negative review. The space is large and surprisingly classy and clean. They have a sunken area with a pool table and a few arcade games and lots of comfortable tables and extra large booths throughout. We came on a Sunday for breakfast/lunch as my husband is always looking for a great breakfast place and likes the idea of a place he can have a beer with his meal at 10am, he’s a nerd and inspired by George RR Martin. The one working hostess/waitress was nice enough, if not overly laid back. She took her time chatting with a few tables before meandering over to bring menus, drinks, food. We weren’t in any rush so we didn’t mind that she wanted to have extended conversations with some customers. However, the food. My god this was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Just about everything is frozen SYSCO type fare, and the stuff that’s made in house was awful. We ordered a french toast for my son off the kids menu and it was $ 4 for one anemic slice of white bread dipped in thin egg batter. It was pathetic. not even powdered sugar or a slice of orange or a strawberry for garnish. I think it’s their way of strongly hinting they don’t want kids to eat there? The jalapeño poppers were just the standard frozen fare with no spiciness or zest at all. Breakfast potatoes were barely cooked and hard and yet greasy. I had a blackened chicken sandwich that came out as a pale thin chicken fillet that had barely any spices on it and the grilled onion that came on it were huge chunks of barely cooked greasy white onion, not grilled or carmelized at all. I think the best part of the meal was the standard frozen steak fries.

Sometimes there food is amazing but more than a couple times I have been there my food has been pretty bad. I ordered a burger one time an it was just completely burnt then one time a steak sandwich an it was amazing so Idk mixed reviews for here obviously the drinks are good. Me an some friends shared a shipwreck once that was fun not to tasty but drinkable.

The Flowing Tide does a great job with their food! I’ve tried a number of things off of their menu and have been pleased each time. Great quality and generous portions. I’m a huge fan of their pot roast and meat loaf! It gets pretty busy on weekend evenings, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing =)

Well, I can’t review the food or the drinks only the service. Walked in around 1:00 pm on a Friday. Sat down at a table close to the bar. Sat there. Waited. Wondering if we would be acknowledged or ignored. Two different servers walked right by and ignored us. Waited. Waited. We were dressed in business attire. Most of the customers were drinking(it’s a bar) After about 15 minutes we walked out. Nobody ever said a word. Most places at least acknowledge you.

Great happy hour, convenient location near my house and great bar food are what keep me coming back. I always seem to run into friends here and the service is friendly. Flowing Tide Pubs make the best batter dipped French fries in town. This location has finally grown on me. I had moved to Sparks from the Double Diamond area of Reno about a year ago and had always frequented the south meadows location. When I first moved to Sparks I felt this location was a little cold in atmosphere but I did realize it was probably because it was new to me and I now feel very comfortable here. Some of my favorite menu items are the pesto shrimp wrap(it’s huge), potstickers, the BLT, any of their salads and quite often the daily specials are really great. Check the reader board when you walk in for those. I would like to see maybe a few menu upgrades for variety it’s been quite a while since anything is been changed Or added. Other than that Keep up the great work. The location for me can’t be beat, I live a half a mile away.

This locate opened up only a few blocks away from work. What does that mean? Happy hour prices and hockey on the TV! The waitress was kind enough to make sure they changed the TV right in front of us to the game we requested. That TV was linked to the big projection TV so we moved down to a table in the lowered area with the pool table and arcade games. The waitress was checking on us often but not overly so. She reminded us several times we had Happy Hour options and asked us again before Happy Hour ended. We ordered several beers at Happy Hour prices as well as Jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks. I didn’t try the Jalapeño poppers(not a spicy fan) but the mozzarella sticks were great and I loved that we got ranch and marinara as dipping sauce options. I was in a mood for something simple and easy to eat so I went for chicken strips and fries. The strips were huge in size, well battered and perfectly crispy. The ranch side was perfect flavor wise but added a nice bit of cool to the pipping hot chicken strips. I also felt like the portion size on both the strips and the fries were perfect. I ate all the chicken strips but had a handful of fries left that I couldn’t finish. The waitress was kind when we put down two credit cards and asked her to split the bill in half. Hockey season isn’t over yet and i’m sure I will be in here not only for more hockey games but maybe to play some pool and hang out. The remodel from the previous owners /chain is nice. Everything is laid out nicely and i’m really glad they got rid of the entire wall of windows.

Wife wants to watch a hockey game we can’t get on our tv? This is the next best thing! I stopped in to see her face AND to get some grub. We were in during happy hour so we had an order of cheesesticks and jalapeño poppers. I enjoyed them both! My main course was a club sandwich which was pilled HIGH with meat. It was almost impossible to get in my mouth but it was delicious once it was there. The sandwich was so big I actually was only able to eat half of it. I saved the second portion for lunch the next day. The giant projector tv was the perfect way to watch the hockey game and actually be able to see the puck on the ice. I’m not a big sports fan but you cannot go wrong with a tv that big! The waitress was nice, helpful, and very attentive which was fantastic because that is not often the case at a bar.

I have been to the S. Meadows location many times. I believe the service and atmosphere are better there. However this location is okay. I had the Tidal Tacos. I had the Chipotle sauce on the side. Good thing it is a little strong flavored. So a little goes a long way. They were good though. My husband had a cheeseburger. He said it was just as good as the other location.

Had to knock them down a star. We came here last Saturday and the service and server was not good at all. The food was good but unfortunately we didn’t get the friendly and awesome service we did the other two times we’ve been here. I normally wouldn’t be too harsh but the service was BAD. I truly hope this was just a one time thing.

My husband and I went with some friends to The Flowing Tide to check it out. Being that two of us were smokers we went to the smoking side. It was the dirtiest and darkest smoking section I’ve ever seen. It’s nothing but an oversized large concrete room with a few chairs and table with a pool table in the center. There is NO ventalation and even being a smoker I could hardley breathe. The other side was packed and elbow to elbow. We stayed about 10 minutes and left to go to Smokin’ Bullys.

Sunday morning customers, sports everywhere, pool tables, and a big menu that included breakfast until noon on Sat & Sun. The poppers were good, I had the French Dip, she had the blue cheese bacon burger which she said was very blue cheesy. The au jus for my French dip didn’t have the right taste. The au jus tasted like beef jerky. If you could somehow make juice out of beef jerky, it tastes exactly like that. I didn’t like it; very salty.
