My husband received a $ 20 food coupon from here for his birthday, so we decided to give it a try. I must say I am not a huge fan of here. We have tried a few of their dishes over the last few years and I really have not been overly impressed. While their prices seem to be inexpensive, their quality does not impress me. On this recent visit I decided to try their fried chicken. Fried chicken is probably one of those meals that I could eat almost daily(I shouldn’t but would be so happy if I could). The chicken seems to be overcooked and greasy. There was a bit of a lack of flavor to their fried chicken. It wasn’t horrible, but I believe they could have a done a better job. My husband ordered the steak and eggs, and the steak was in need of some seasoning. His exact words were«It really didn’t taste like anything». Hmmm… sounds like some seasoning would be a great improvement to their food.

This place is awesome! My family and I like to go here is much as we can, the food is great, but the service is great, and the atmosphere is great. The prices are even better. The servers they make you feel as if you were really important, they know you name if you frequent there a lot. They stop and say hello and ask how you’re doing, make small talk, while also attending to other customers needs. They never give you anything to complain about their customer service. I never have to ask for refills, or extra napkins. They just bring you everything you need without you asking.

Great local diner that serves some classic diner food. I had reservations about this place before trying it because a lot of the locals around here cringe when you mention Baldinis. The Fat Boy Club meets here pretty regularly and nary a complaint can be found with any of us about the food. Try it! They have good food and the service is pretty good too. If you’re in to old fashioned diner grub then this is your place.

Very disappointed in the All you can eat ribs and chicken. Ribs served cold, covered in sauce with minimal smoked flavor. Chicken was dry. Also ordered the 10 Oz steak and fried prawns. Steak was very thin, can’t imagine it was 10 oz. Prawns were decent, but with lots of batter. Corn on the cob was warm but needed added butter. Coleslaw looked good but needed more sauce. Won’t come back for this dinner.

A locals favorite, the best spot for breakfast, any time of day or night. Prices are awesome… and the food compares to and sometimes better than the ihops and dennys. Too bad(for me) more people are finding this hidden gem, because now there are lines out the door on weekends.

Genuinely surprised by this place. It has a nice atmosphere to it. Reminds of a classic diner. I got the steak and shrimp and let me tell ya. The shrimp was battered beautifully. When taking the first bite it was crisp and crunchy, it tasted fresh. Then I ate the fries– and these fries were seriously one of the best fries ive had in awhile. A nice crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Seasoned nicely too. The corn wasn’t anything too great but the roll was soft. And. I don’t really care for coleslaw so can’t say anything about that. But now to the steak. The steak had nice flavor. It was cooked to my liking, and all for 8 $! I am definitely coming back!

I think this place aspires to 3 stars. That being said it is. They have updated the menu(since the last time we were there) with several new items to choose from. Such as chipped beef and egg skillets. The food is ok, typical diner food. The prices are great you definitely will be full. The staff is always nice. The real negative is that we could write our names in the dust on the separating part of the booth(the part that is hooked to the booth next to ours).

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight great service my shrimp dish was excellent my husbands all you can eat spaghetti was absolutely delicious and he brought some home. I do have an issue when people bring dogs in a nice restaurant. I do not believe the dogs should be allowed in the restaurant where people are eating in less they are seeing-eye dogs. I do understand this was a «service dog». And I was very kindly told by the hostess that it was a service dog. But I’m sorry I still don’t think the dogs unless they’re seeing eye dogs should be allowed in a restaurant where you’re serving food.

What can I say 5 stars because it what a diner should be! GOOD cheap food and a friendly staff. I like the steak and shrimp it a nice steak ALWAYS cooked the way I want it and the shrimp are the big fried ones not those small no shrimp just batter things. The bread pudding is awesome I don’t know if it’s made in-house BUT it is good!

Heck I will give it five stars. The service was outstanding and the food yummy yummy. How can you beat $ 8.25 for a New York steak and fries and a salad. The kids and hubby got all you can eat pasta for $ 6.50 and loved it. So it is not gourmet but it is good food and there is plenty of it.

Located in Baldini’s Casino, Empire Diner is quite a busy spot. The prices are cheap, service is friendly. We ordered the prime rib special and ribeye steak dinner. At $ 14.95, you get what you pay for. What I thought was a phenomenal deal, left me wishing I ordered something else. The prime rib was overcooked and dry. Hubs didn’t care for his ribeye either. The quality in the food just wasn’t there. Everything was rather bland. We both left most of our meal, wishing we had big dogs to feed the leftover to! We did appreciate our server tho! Thanh was very friendly, speedy and attentive. Thanh’s friendly attitude made the experience much better than it actually was. I’m sure that we probably would’ve been happier if we ordered the usual diner fare. But when you see that prime rib being advertised everywhere for that price, while supplies last, it’s hard to pass!

Dang, this place is popular. On a random Monday morning almost every table/booth was full when I arrived, when I was leaving there was a line eight deep waiting to be seated. Part of that due to the immediate area being an industrial wasteland I guess, with nothing else but a Wendys across the street that was open at 9:30am but appeared to have no actual employees staffing it. But it’s also pretty good food at a pretty good price. For breakfast $ 6 after tax gets you a good-size plate of basic meat, eggs, hash browns, toast. You can get bigger plates of stuff for just $ 8. $ 3 or 4 for just a stack of hot cakes. Honestly not really 4 star food but a good value diner with good service will always get at least 4* from me

They say«you get what you pay for» and for the most part that is true. At the Empire diner though, you get far more than what you pay for. It’s a diner, in a smoky casino, in industrial Sparks… But the breakfast we had was delicious and we walked out just $ 13(plus tip) poorer after ordering a full breakfast for two people, on the weekend, and not even from 11 pm until 6 am… He ordered the western skillet breakfast and loved it and I ordered an omelette. Both were served with hash browns and toast of our choice. The omelette was a 4 egg omelette with my choice of three add-ons or fillings, I chose ham, tomatoes and cheese. Yum! It was delicious. Fluffy, perfectly blended and lightly cooked. The hashbrowns were cooked and seasoned just right too. I ordered sourdough toast and the boysenberry jam at the table topped that off just right. Service was excellent, we were seated in a booth right away. Table service was great, they definitely keep an eye on the tables. My boyfriend looked around once to scan the size of the room and our server came running to fill our waters and make sure that we were ok. It’s a Classic style diner, the kind where you pay at the counter when you leave and they ask you how everything was. They’ve even got the mints and toothpicks there. It reminds me of going out to eat as a kid with my parents.

I am NOT a fan of casinos, BUT I will brave the wilds of Casinoland for a meal at The Empire Diner inside Baldini’s. EFFINGBALDINI’S. That says a lot. Anyway…
I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this place and all I can say is WOW! The food is amazing, especially for the price. I have had the AYCE pancake breakfast(I can’t really eat more than two but for the price, it’s totally worth it) the bacon I asked for«extra crispy» was done perfectly. I have had the regular old cheeseburger, also very, very good. Their french fries are PERFECT. I had another sandwich, can’t remember if it was a patty melt or a rueben, either way it was delicious as well. Had a cup of their corn chowder once, and it was so good I didn’t even care if it was from a can or not. Someone made it taste like it wasn’t. The service is friendly and efficient. Mostly ladies of a certain age who know WTF they are doing. I so much prefer that over the obsequious service you get at so many places these days. So if you want to go out for a not-fast-food meal and want to leave a GRACIOUS tip, but you don’t have a bunch of cash to spend I HIGHLY recommend The Empire Diner.

Ohoh — they screwed it up! Empire diner is a basic casino restaurant/coffee shop. The quality of food is what’s to be expected for a place of this type, and the service is always very friends. This morning we went in to grab a quick breakfast. They changed them menu. The have raised all of their prices and with the exception of one breakfast special got rid off all the specials. They even removed fried chicken from their menu. Whoever decided these changes were good really should be fired. .
