Gott’s Store

This pizza is amazing. We stayed near here and ordered 80″ of pizza on our vacation. We stuffed ourselves royally. Also, the desserts we tried were excellent, and they have quite a variety.
Don’t judge a pizza joint by it’s façade. Get this stuff!

Was in town for the Oktoberfest, and we stopped here on the way back to the motel for some takeout food.
The menu has all the normal subs, sandwich’s, pizza, and fried food.
The pizza I got was good, and wait until you see the homemade desserts.

So we needed to get groceries & Sawyers Market, while amazing, is a little pricey. We also needed a quick fix on feeding 20 people. Gotts Store helped with all. Decent prices for groceries & made to order pizzas. They also have a ice cream counter /​eatery out on the side. Their BLLT sandwiches (bacon, lettuce, lobster & tomato) are great!!!
Will definitely remember this store the next time we are in Southwest Harbor, ME

Convenient stop for last minute camping food, ice and firewood. More expensive then big grocery stores but not crazy prices. Fresh foods especially the baked goods and desserts. Also, they have an awesome ice cream stand on the side of the building.

So after a really disappointing experience at the famous lobster pound down the road in Bernard, after a day of high adventure hiking, cliff climbing and rock hopping all around coastal MDI, tonight we decided to do takeout on the way back to our cottage in Tremont.
Having hit Gott’s Store early in the AM after visiting the local awesome Skip’s Auto Service (who saved our butts), I knew it had everything under the sun, plus an extensive short order cooking operation (and ice cream) in the back. A local there said the pizza was great. We pulled the menu and it had 6 pages of everything from gourmet white pizzas to lobster rolls to fish and chips to veggie subs. It was crazy all the choices this little place could accommodate.
Even better, with 4 hungry kids, the prices were really good. They’d be good back home in St. Petersburg, FL, which means by MDI standards it was darn near free. We had one 20″ pizza with ham and ½ black olives, 2 fried haddock dinners with onion rings, and one popcorn shrimp basket with rings for $ 36. …and we have left overs.
Gott’s rocks. Even their stock of microbrew beers is priced well. The gas is also 7 cents/​gallon cheaper than its competitor ½ mile away. The folks there were friendly and helpful, even offering us a tip on a quick site seeing thing to do while our food was being cooked. Five stars all the way and our new «go to» place for anything we need during our trip.

Our neighbors kept telling us to get pizza from Gott’s and I kept thinking «the creepy gas station down the road? No way.» Decided to give it a shot out of desperation this winter because they are the only place open at night. Holy crap. Legit pizza! And the baked goods they keep by the register are OFF. THE. CHAIN. (Raspberry elephant ear… om nom nom!)
They also have basically anything else you could possibly need. Produce, cat litter, booze, deli meats, etc etc etc. love this place.

I lived on MDI for two years and I will say that this place is the best place to get Whoopie Pies. I only got gas here maybe once since it wasn’t on my way to work in Bar Harbor but that’s when I grabbed a few of the baked goods sitting by the check-​out. OMG! I went back every other night to get whoopie pies and even three years after I moved out of Maine, I STILL think of this place when craving something sweet!

Gotts is the right name for this general store. it’s GOTT everything!!! cheapest gas on the island, the only place, i believe that is open 24 hours, great pizza, good groceries that don’t kill you because they’re small, lotsa beer, good wine selection and some of the best local people watching. Go there any time of the day for whatever you need and if they don’t have it, you don’t need itl.
