I just left Nicole’s Salon & Spa. This was my first(and last) visit to their shop. I’ve been wanting to try them because they are close to my office. I wanted to have the dipping powder service. The man that worked on me was more interested in playing a computer game than doing my nails. He got me set up for my old dipping powder removal and left me for 20 minutes to play his video game. When he came back, the acetone had dried up and caused the cotton balls to mix with the old acrylic and it became a sticky mess. Even as he was trying to add more acetone to the cotton to remove the sticky mess, he was leaning away from his work station to check on his video game. When he finally finished getting the gunk off my nails, I told him I had to get back to work. I paid the $ 7 removal fee and will take my business elsewhere. It’s just a bummer that I have an important event after work tonight and now, I’ll be going with ugly nails.

Accommodated my mother and I as walk ins.(Tuesday after lunch) Great prices. I do wish my massage for the pedicure was better. My mothers technician used lotion and gloves and is still being worked on. My technician, Sam — used a small amount of cuticle oil and kept stopping to chat(which I don’t mind, but you pay for a spa pedicure to get the soak, massage and polish) Hence, the lack of 5 stars. I’m keeping at 4 stars though because the price and availability was great.

i got my hair done here and the color and cut came out nicely. this spa is actually pretty large and have a connecting nail section that is nice when you want to get multiple things done. i enjoy conversating to past the time and they are really nice and take their time which is a huge factor for me when i go to salons! i hate being rushed iut but im sure if you are in a hurry they will be able to get you out in time. its clean, friendly staff, a lot of options to pick from and oriced decently for being in southlake.

I love going here to get my nails done. It’s a quiet and small nail shop that offers hair services and also other spa needs that you want you can find it here. Luis does a fabulous job on pedis and gives great massages considering how reasonable the pedis are here! Yen does my lash extensions and does such a fabulous job! They also carry sensitive glue which is great for me since I have sensitive eyes and being able to rock longer lashes I mean who wouldn’t want that? Things are very affordable here and they do a great job and very friendly. I take my girlfriends here and family from out of town to enjoy a little pampering. The décor is nice and they also got new pedicure chairs! They also have a back room where you can have private pedicure sessions as well which is really nice. I love my private time especially when I need some relaxation with my busy schedule!

I’ve only been to day spa for pedicure and personally enjoy the small, quaint atmosphere and highly recommend Lewis, however, beware of Sam. I think his technique is too aggressive and especially had a bad experience when he persisted in removing an ingrown toenail I had. Basically he performed a procedure that only a doctor should with numbing medicine. The pain was excruciating and because I have a high pain tolerance and wanted the problem alleviated I allowed him to proceed. I do not recommend this. It really, really hurt. Although my toe felt better afterwards, I still struggle with the same issue so he did not cure the problem. Ultimately, I may end up at the doctor’s office. Sam is practicing out of his boundaries and I say this because he told me the bloody details of a local high school football player that had a severe ingrown toenail that he worked on. This procedure should not be handled by a nail technician. I don’t know about any of their other services but have since moved on to a different location for my pedicures.

I love this place! Can’t believe it has gotten a low rating but my experiences there was always really pleasant. The atmosphere has always been very calm, clean, and inviting. The staff is really friendly and makes you feel welcome, and the prices are good, especially for a place located in Southlake! I’ve never had bad service when I came and from my last experience, my girl Mary A. did an AMAZING job on my hair. It took her longer than expected but she was really patient with my very damaged hair and we were able to lift my VERYASIAN dark brown that pulls a LOT of red into a nice non-brassy light brown with balayage ombré blonde highlights. They’re up to date on the latest products and we were able to get my hair to a non-brassy color by using a green metallic dye that just came out. I’ve had a lot of compliments on my hair and a lot of them are of other girls being surprised how non-brassy my hair looks without having to damage and bleach it like crazy. I live in Arlington but would gladly make the drive out to see her. I highly recommend this place!

I go to this place to get my nails done, and they do a good job with OPI gel color, so the manicures last. I’ve had an eyebrow and lip wax here too, perfectly adequate, but I don’t have terribly sensitive skin. If I were going to a spa for anything like a facial or massage(or hair care) I’d probably go a little more upscale. This place kind of ranks somewhere between a little hole-in-the-wall strip-mall nail place and what I’d consider a day spa – maybe slightly nicer than a lot of small nail salons but not really up to the standards of most real day spas(I’d actually probably rank it at 2.5 stars). There’s nothing luxurious about the treatment rooms, and there’s little polish or finesse to the service(not the kind of pampering you’d find at a true spa, with lockers, beverages, nice warm well-appointed treatment rooms, etc). I’d get a pedicure here, and nails, and maybe maintenance waxing. The prices are fairly low, not what you’d pay at a luxury spa, either. I’ve never made an appointment, just walked in. They never seem to be swamped. If you expect a decent quick nail place, and not a spa, you’ll be ok with this place. If you expect a spa, you’ll be disappointed.

I went there for a Brazilian and eyebrow wax. The woman who did it was extremely nice but the room was small and dirty. There was mold all over the ceiling. Price was very cheap and I’m assuming it’s because the products they use are cheap. The waxer used baby oil to get the remaining wax off which of course caused me to breakout. Also they only have one kind of wax, the typical honey wax. If you have sensitive skin I definitely don’t recommend this place.

I’m mixed on my review of this spa. I’ll start with the positive. It was clean and the treatments I received were really excellent. I got a facial and it was great and a massage, also great. Definitely one of the better massages I’ve had in a long time. Now the negatives. It’s really small in there. There are no private locker rooms where you can put your things, so don’t bring anything valuable. There is no changing room so you just go into your treatment room and change there. I took 2 stars away because although the service and treatments were excellent of the therapists… the people who make the appointments are the WORST i have encountered anywhere. They need to seriously make a staff change or this place is not going to last. This was my first time to book an appt here and when I first called, the person who answered said for me to call back. Well that’s rude. So I called back and talked to a very young girl who seemed as if I was bothering her by making my appointments. She kept saying yah, yah, ok over and over. It seemed like she got it and told me a time to be there. A day before my treatments, someone calls me to confirm and inform me of their 24 hour notice cancellation policy(they will charge you half if you cancel in less than 24 hours) and says my appt is at 9:30am. The first girl had told me 10, so I would have been late. When I arrive, everything goes pretty smooth and then during my facial, they are trying to pull me out for my massage. My facial is cut short as I move over for my 1.5 hour massage. This was my first 1.5 hour and I was so excited about. When it ended, I thought, boy that was fast. Looking at the clock, it was only 1 hour. I came out and found the manager… who agreed that she knew I was only getting 1 hour. She said that’s what the receptionist had booked me for. I was clear on the phone to 2 different people that I wanted 1.5 hours. In the waiting room was a gentleman there for his hot stone massage, and they didn’t even have him on the books. My therapist, although she was great, let me know that she was booked solid from 10 – 6 with no lunch so she would be on her feet the whole time. So overall, a nice place to go, especially if you want several services in one location. They do hair, nails, etc. I will go back one more time and give them another chance. Don’t call on a Thursday, that’s when I called. If you call and the person on the phone sounds like a teenager, ask for the manager or call back another day. Update on March 2, 2008. I’m knocking them down to 2 stars. I gave it another chance. I went in again for a massage. Again, the front desk is a hub for disaster. I don’t know how they are staying in business. Screwed up my appt AGAIN, I waited 20 minutes past my appt time for my therapist. While I was waiting, I learned something else… they love to stand at the front desk and gossip about the customers. I’m sure they were running me down as well. As customers pay on the way out, they run the person down when they leave. I mean seriously people… save it for the break room. If you have that huge of a need to gossip about people. Plus, they were speaking a lot in Vietnamese or Korean. I just caught the English parts. It was BAD. There was a large group of girls in there not being demanding at all. Just asking for what they needed… one girl rolled her eyes. If you were a large group in here recently for a birthday, they were talking about you behind your backs the whole time. I gave them a 2nd chance and I was less impressed this time. It’s sad because I think their massages are really good, my first was better than my second… and my facialist was great. But some of the WORST customer service at the front desk I have ever seen. I won’t go back. Still looking for a home spa in Southlake.
