Very Informative Groupon A/​C Heat Inspection
Using a Groupon made an otherwise costly service much more reasonably priced. I would not recommend the inspection at full price because it really doesn’t take that long or involve that much work but at a discount it was worth it. The tech arrived right on time, was very nice, answered all my questions, and he didn’t try to up-​sell me. He ran the electrical tests on my ac/​heater and determined that even though there was nothing wrong with the unit it could be more effective with a different setting which he showed me how to adjust manually. My only complaint is that he refused to clean out the four inches of built up leaves inside the outdoor fan because, «it won’t make any difference,» but he did wash it down with a hose which he told me should be part of regular maintenance. He also explained some of the things I should know when I go to buy a new unit since mine is about ²⁄₃ of the way through it’s life and not really worth doing anything to at this point. Overall I was satisfied with the inspection because I learned a lot and I can trust that my system is in good order but I am a little disappointed that I still have to open up the thing to get those leaves out myself.
