Best place ever! Autum and Jenn are so awesome and most of all friendly… it’s so relaxing and so pretty inside I would recommend them to all my friends and family defiantly my new favorite spot!!!

The first time I did my eyebrow waxing which they did such a bad job, lots of small hair are left when I checked mirror at home. I gave them another chance. I had my underarm and eyebrow waxing done a week ago. For some reason, their room was so dark that u can’t tell what they have done. When I got home, my underarms and eye brows were red. 3 days later, it turned out that there is a big round hyper pigmentation on my underarms. They asked me to come to store to clarify what I wrote in Unilocal.They said the reason why I got hyper pigmentation is due to allergy reaction to either wax or something else. They gave me refund. It seems like before we go to any salon, we have do test on their wax ingredient to see if we have allergic reaction or not as if we have a lot of time. Just FYI, I never had any reaction to wax before coming here. As they said, you have to take a risk. Good luck Unilocal reader!

This place is absolutely amazing. I love the whole staff and the relaxation room melts all your stress away. I’ve had filler done by Jen who is literally a godess and I’ve also had a facial done by Michelle who made my skin glow for weeks. Can’t wait to go back!

The staff are really nice, although everything that the receptionist says is extremely rehearsed and scripted which turns me off. Also they constantly try to up-​sell everything. I have been going for months for laser hair removal to my bikini area and I’m not exaggerating when I say there has been almost no change… after my FIFTH session! I am very fair skinned with thin hair, and at my consultation the woman I spoke with assured me that I would be completely hair-​free there after 6 sessions at the most (based on my skin and hair). When I went for my fifth time and spoke with someone different however, I was told I would need at least 4 more sessions (9 total) and even then the hair loss wouldn’t ever be permanent, the hair would just be thinner. Needless to say I am extremely upset and frustrated with this place! I’ve paid for 6 sessions in advance (a mistake, clearly), and I will not be returning for laser hair removal after that. They have various other services that seem nice, but the laser hair removal was a massive failure.

I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal for the back on my neck. I work in medical devices so I’m familiar w different types of lasers. Pure Skin has one that is virtually pain free and worked great for me. On top of that, the spa is very clean and inviting, the staff is exceptional and the owners are fantastic. I highly recommend it for laser hair removal and presume their other treatment options are top notch.

There is NO WAY this place deserves 5 stars. Look at the ‘not recommended’ review dated 1÷21÷16, as that’s also representative of my experience! The laser hair removal is the service I have experience with here. They boast about how their machines are the newest technology, but newer machines does not a hairless woman make. I’ll take the slightly older ones in an awesome W. Haven treatment center/​spa (that’s a tip for any of you groupon shopping and reading reviews prior to buying)!
Are they nice? Sure! Is it a new building? Yes! Is the office nicely decorated and comfortable? Definitely! Should I have this much hair after EIGHT sessions? Absolutely not! I paid for three more in West Haven (Anti-​Aging Centers) to hopefully finish what Pure Skin started once I complete my ninth session that’s already paid for here.
I’ll continue to add onto this, but for anyone looking at reviews, they shouldn’t think this is the best place ever for laser hair removal!
9 sessions at Anti-​Aging Centers and I’m done (on a different area that I got treated), 8 at Pure Skin and I’m patchy and not even close to being done with the treatment. Take your money and business elsewhere!
They often offer «deals» to sell you massages or facials at a discounted rate, which is still way over what I’d be willing to pay. Their offers don’t seem like deals at all to me, and the only business I see booming there is for laser hair removal. They must have trapped us all with groupons to get us in the door, because while they offer me deals and discounts to start treating a different body part, I’m on a wait list for my last and final appointment I’ve already paid for! Most of the staff have been great, but I’m not paying all this money to talk to a nice woman for 15 minutes every couple of months.
Full disclosure which I never thought I’d admit, but I’m getting my lower legs done here, and not all of the women have gone low enough, so you’ve heard of ring around the collar? Well I have a hair ring around the ankle! Seeing it again today, after having the 8^th treatment last week finally upset me enough to get this review done so you’ll know what you’re getting! The rest of the area is patchy, so shaving is still required, often. :(Please see the pic of my leg as proof, taken a week after the last treatment.
