There is a lot going on in this store and it is pretty crammed. My boyfriend and I came in here to find a pair of shades and the selection was minimal but thankfully we found him a pair for our upcoming trip.
There seemed to be some techinical difficulties with the cash register so this guy (who was positive the entire time) was doing about 10 jobs at once… helping a family with a bike, talking to customers and ringing people up. I was impressed with his multi-​tasking and he was pleasant the entire time. There was another guy there who was trying to figure out the cash register but he should have helped out his co-​worker since there were quite a few people in the store.
Overall, this is a great place if you are looking for some used equipment for golf, softball, baseball and even winter sports equipment.

I have been doing business with Janet for a few years and she is a very dedicated and community oriented person. My son is now 17 and he has outgrown most of his sporting equipment. It has been nice to bring it to Play It Again Sports and know that someone else can make use of it instead of it getting thrown away. The last time we cleaned out his closet, I was in a hurry and I did not want to consign the items, so I took the cash value for them instead. If we should need to purchase sporting goods, I would go there first as they carry new items as well as used. We all need to support our local businesses!

The difference between this location and the West Hartford location is actually quite striking. West Hartford isn’t bad, but they could stand to just throw out some of their older, nastier items…
This location, on the other hand, has lots of nice skates, well organized, and well kept. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy anything today, as they are a little short on goalie skates, and one almost-​but-​not-​quite fit me. But I still appreciate the level of presentation for what is essentially a secondhand shop. The workers were really nice and willing to help.
In fact, they took my information, and said they would contact me if a pair of skates came in that fit my needs. A fine gesture.
Check it out for hockey, baseball, lacrosse, and other equipment.
