It almost pains me to write this review because from all appearances, this store is struggling to survive. I hope I’m wrong since comic/gaming stores are places where for a long stretch of my life I spent a great deal of time. The Good: It’s a comics and gaming store. Miniatures, wargames, card games, roleplaying games, and comic books abound! There’s great parking and the guy who worked there seemed pleasant enough… The Bad: The lack of inventory and variety: there is not a lot of selection. Most of their stock focuses on a few games with very little else present. Also, when I asked about sets of polyhedral dice — a must have for ANY gaming store — they said they had none and we not stocking them regularly. Seriously? Once again, it sounds like they are not financially stable enough to stock items they can’t turn over very quickly. However, if their RPG section consisted of more than 3 small shelves of the same books you can find at any Barnes and Noble, they might actually sell more accessory items. The décor: The place smells. The technical term is «gamer funk». Perhaps it is not as bad as some other stores I’ve had the displeasure of smelling, but the funk nonetheless remains. Invest in some febreeze. The lack of customer service: While pleasant enough, the person working was more interested in unboxing some board-game than helping customers. Furthermore, there was no attempt to mitigate the shortcomings of the store’s inventory, no offer to special order what I wanted or even to check with a distributor. The unapologetic approach doesn’t work with small businesses, especially ones that can order what you need with a simple phone call or web form. The Ugly: Another thing hinting at the store being in trouble was a sign by the register notifying long time patrons that their discounts for comic subscriptions was being reduced. Also, while they had a few tables for gaming, no one was there. It was empty on a friday night. That is always a bad sign for a game store.

Since they moved a few doors down from their previous location my experience with them has improved a lot. Their new place is much nicer and much more open. The lighting, which many have had complaints about in the past, is way better. With the new space there’s no shuffling around people to get where you’re going and the gaming tables aren’t sitting right on top of the comic wall anymore. The overall appearance of the place is much better and inviting. On Wednesdays my pulled books are even brought to me while I’m looking around. That’s some service! Only negative, once in awhile not all the issues on my list are pulled.

I hate to leave a 1 star review but this place honestly deserves it. The lighting was so dark that it took a few minutes for my eyes to adjust, we were not greeted by anyone when we walked in and I felt like we were disturbing a private party and not entering a business. The comic book selection was poor, and the smell was over powering. Plenty of people were there loudly yelling and playing various games at the tables so if that is what you are looking for, I found it! I won’t be returning here again.

I ended up having to make this my local store and started a subscription/pull list. Out of 10 titles they forgot to pull 8. Thanks for nothing!

Great staff and great products. The owner will help out with any questions and has fair prices on all his items including individual magic cards.

Great store, nice guys, and tons of comics. They also have models and other gaming paraphernalia including Magic and Pokemon. Easy to get to and plenty of parking.
