We came and stayed here for 2 nights. I don’t know why the reviews are so low for this place. I wouldn’t say it’s the Ritz Carlton, but the Ritz Carlton ain’t even the Ritz Carlton anymore. I’ve been there as well and I can assure you what your paying a mortgage for its not worth it. The La Quinta is nice for what it is. They have a nice roomie room. The bed is nice. The tv is nice. The shower and bathroom are good. What are the complaints about? Front desk was friendly and they give you breakfast which I didn’t eat from 6 – 9.

La Quinta is one of the few places that is actually dog friendly. No one time charges. No cleaning fee. They just get your phone number in case your dog is going ham when you are gone(fair). This one has a free breakfast– pretty much a carb fest– waffles, muffins, bagels, cereal and yogurt. Rooms are definitely dated but have everything you need including a microwave and fridge(nice bonus!). Service is good! I enjoyed my stay here. The price is definitely right.

At one time I’m sure this was a nice hotel. The upkeep is a little lacking. It’s obvious this hotel has management problems. My reservation was for a king size room that was on the lower level. A lower level room was a must when we searched for our hotel stay as I have a medical condition that makes it difficult for me to walk very far. We were told they had a room available and would note my request. Upon arriving at the hotel I was met with an employee that was not the most pleasant. She was a bit snippy from the get go. She hands me a room key for the 3rd floor at the far end of the hallway. Yes literally the furthest room possible from the front door. I explained to her that I had requested a lower level room and she said that’s all they have available and that their almost fully booked. She states that ALL their suites were on the 3rd floor. I once again explained my condition and that I would be willing to take a different or lesser room other than a suite. I also told her the reason we chose their hotel was because they said they could accommodate and now I’m told they can not. She replied there’s nothing she can do. I asked if there’s not another room you can down grade me too and she states NO rather nastily. Remind you she just told me they was almost fully book. Meaning they had other rooms. So I sit down in the lobby to watch the tigers playoff game while my wife parks the car. While sitting there a couple walks in and asks for vacancy and they promptly got a room on the lower floor. So I confront the employee and she states that she already told me the ONLY suites they have are on the 3rd floor. So I asked what the other couple just got a she said a regular room. In my reservation I never requested a SUITE I just requested a king size bed on the lower level. It was clear this employee cared nothing about customer satisfaction or attempting to provide the least but of customer service. As for the hotel — cleanliness and upkeep is about an 7.5−8. Our room smelt like smoke but was nice and roomy. Better management would put a higher emphasis on upkeep, cleanliness, politeness and customer satisfaction.

Basic accommodations. Was quiet when we stayed and the room was mostly clean. Found some hairs in the bathroom floor. Staff was courteous. Free breakfast.
