I need new carpet after one year. Only two seniors living here. You would think the carpet would last for ever. Looks shabby and matted down

This place reminds me of… a low-key carpet hookup warehouse. The gentlemen working behind the counter were in their«saturday afternoon hangout» clothes and one of the first things we were asked about were measurements. Wait, can we talk about types of carpet first, look at colors, DECIDE1. what we want and 2. if we want it from there? We told him in 101 ways *exaggeration that we did not know any measurements and he lead us past the swatch/sample books to this open warehouse carpet roll graveyard. That is not how we shop for carpet. As a matter of fact, we were asked if we’ve ever shopped for carpet before. Um, yes. But not this way. We led ourselves to the books and found what we were looking for. I was quickly over my visit there, so I had detached myself from the visit. My mom was simply trying to price compare from the place we’d just left. Decent pricing for Shaw carpeting, which is a name we trust(besides everything else seeming sketchy, they did have reputable brands, too). We did find out that for them to come to your home and measure, we’d be charged separately… unlike the first place we went to. Needless to say, we will not be using this company for our carpet purchase.

Purchased carpet here and then installer came to install carpet put a dent in my wall and scratched the paint and then rubbed it right off down to the old color that was under new paint. Not getting any support from owner wanting to help fix the problem.
