I have spent a great deal of time today trying to figure out why my Verizon billing has no correlation to what I was told it would be at this Verizon company owned location. As far as I am now able to determine, the salesperson at this location flat out lied to me so that he could collect a commission or sales credit. I have spoken with Verizon customer service and they told me that what was promised to me is not possible, and they also alluded that they have to deal with this particular delusion all the time. The story goes something like this: At the time of the sale: Me: So you are telling me that even though there will be a monthly line charge for this inexpensive tablet, it will be offset by another discount on the bill? Is that what you said? Store representative: «Yes, you will see a small monthly charge and you will also see an offsetting discount.» Me: OK, I will buy the tablet then. A few days later(less than 14) …Then I get a confirmation email from Verizon that indicates otherwise. It says I will be billed monthly and mentions no offsetting discount… So I go back to the store and speak with a manager.(that same day) Me: I was told that there would be a small charge for this tablet every month, but also an offsetting discount. But the Verizon statement does not show the discount. Store manager: «Yes, that is the way it works. The Verizon email doesn’t mention the discount, but it will be there.» Me: OK Thanks Today, which is almost a month after the purchase. I get the bill. Surprise, surprise. No offsetting discount. So I call Verizon on the phone. They cannot help me and tell me that there is nothing they can do and since it is more than 14 days, I am stuck. Finally I am asked to take an online survey. I rate the Verizon representative as being mediocre, which he was, and when they ask me whether I would recommend Verizon to friends and family on a scale of 0 to 10, I rate them as a zero. A few minutes later, a survey reader from Verizon calls and I explain why I would not recommend Verizon. She tells me she is going to call the store and see if she can get them to reconsider their actions. She calls me back a few minutes later and tells me that she spoke with the store assistant manager and he was«extremely rude» to her and will do nothing. She suggests leaving feedback on the«contact us» link on I tell her I have had enough and won’t do it. I tell her that Verizon seems to think that it is OK to flat out lie to customers and that since the item purchased is no longer returnable(although it was when I went to see the store manager and he backed up the lie) that I am stuck. She says she understands and apologizes but tells me there is nothing she can do. Well I can’t see what ever will happen with Verizon to rectify this problem unless I take them to small claims court, which I might do, but I can let Unilocalers out there know that this particular Verizon Company owned location seems to think that it is fair game to deceive customers and leave them in the lurch. Sad isn’t it? Caveat Emptor.

Horrible service! After being advised to come here after I spoke with *611 I had to wait for an hour for a guy to restart my phone and tell me to go to the apple store? couldn’t you tell me that when I walked in? Nothing was resolved! Friends of the people that worked there cut in line and were seen before me! what a waist of time an entire hour to be turned down! never buying verizon service again! this is typical with their products and their representatives!

This location was so helpful and great service, ask for drew. Another man helped me and even came out to my car to help me get the blue tooth working. Everyone in here seemed pretty competent. I didn’t see any pissed off customers!

FYI… after my review, the next day I received a message from the owner regarding my poor experience. I appreciate the concern for customer service and hope they will take my feedback to improve their service. I was impressed on how quickly they contacted me and that they were interested in my comments. I should also add that the sales person that I did speak with was very nice and attentive. She helped me with my account immediately and followed up with me after wards to make sure everything was okay. They get a better rating for these two customer service features.

There’s always someone at the door to greet you and to help you with the most simplest thing like signing in.
