This restaurant is closed. Please remove it from the list. It’s confusing people. It’s in the same place as Shawarma Grill. I think that opened when this closes.

First off, this is technically an Iraqi restaurant that also serves some Lebanese dishes. The waiter, who also seemed to be the owner, told us that. My girlfriend and I were staying in the area and found this place on Unilocal. We went in around 7PM on a Thursday night. We had the place to ourselves and as my girlfriend put it: «it felt like we were at someone’s house». The owner was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We started off with hummus(a Lebanese item they make). Very good hummus, especially if you like it on the lemony and garlicy side. My girlfriend had the beef shawarma and I had the chicken shawarma. Both were delicious. The dinner came with Iraqi rice and stew(so delicious). You also get a soup or salad to start. Ask for the garlic to go with your meat dish. It is a yogurt and garlic sauce; it is out of this world delicious. The portions are very generous. We ended up leaving with a good chunk of the chicken and beef. My girlfriend had about half her stew left. The owner said he would add more stew and put it in a to-go container(which he did). Great place to get a solid meal. I wish I knew of a place near my home where I could get food like this. We will definitely go back if in the area again.

Quality authentic middle eastern food at a fair price. I highly recommend it, and the falafel sandwich, mmmmmm. SK also does large meals for the family too.

This restaurant serves wonderful food. We were craving for some Mediterranean food and chanced upon this place… the place is clean and the owner/server is a very gracious person. We chose the 2 person combo-platter…it came with a choice of 4 kinds of kabobs, rice, curry and salad. The rice smelt fragrant, we were served 2 curries… both were delicious, and the kabobs were just perfect! The owner also served us some soup to try — -it was really nice and a perfect starter to the meal. At the end we also had some black tea… it came in footed cups with sugar on the side… tea strength was just right! We can rave on and on about this food… we LOVED it! We are going back again for sure!

Great value. $ 6.95 lunch special gets you a substantial amount of food. Lentil or lemon rice soup, bread, chicken shawarma, rice, curry with potatoes, and garlic sauce. That’s a $ 12.99 dinner portion at some places! They could raise the lunch special price a dollar or two and it would still be a good deal. The service is ok and the waitress is very nice, but I haven’t seen the place super busy yet. There are a lot of Mediterranean places in metro Detroit… this isn’t a stand out but a solid place. Definitely recommended for a chicken shawarma fix if you’re driving along Northwestern. To the lady who gave this place two stars claiming they couldn’t fax her a menu, because they had just opened and their fax machine wasn’t hooked up yet… seriously? That’s ridiculous, why even bother leaving a review when you haven’t eaten their food. Your review is what prompted me to leave a positive review since the food was great.

What a find!!! Mediterranean food at its best!!! I had the chicken shawarma sandwich(marinated, thinly sliced and seasoned chicken, tomatoes, pickles in a wonderfully flavored special sauce) served in pita bread… To die for. And the hummus… Excellent!!! My only complaint is I live on the other side of the state and can’t frequent this place more often:(

I CAN’T RATETHISBASEDONTHEFOOD… as I haven’t tried it. They just opened not long ago and I was interested in trying it. I called to see if they had a website that I would be able to check out a menu on. I was told no, they just opened and are too new. I asked if they could fax me a menu, I was put on «hold» which just consisted of putting the phone on the counter and the young lady asked someone if they could fax a menu. No, I was told, they are new and the fax isn’t hooked up, but she can tell me prices over the phone. No thanks. I want to see what you have! Not a good start in this area when there are other well established Middle Eastern choices. Just sayin’.
