This place is a great idea. It’s a little confusing the first time. The staff was not very helpful as 4 of us tried to figure out what we were suppose to do. Not welcoming at all. But we all ordered and the pizzas were pretty good. Not great. We all got our foods at different times, so that’s a bit awkward. And although the staff was unhelpful a manager came up to is and asked how things were. Could have used the help before. And so I don’t seem too picky, we were the only customers and at least 3 unhappy looking people working. Just standing and waiting even though I said«it’s our first time here.» But we made it through. I got thin crust and 3 others got pan. All was eaten. I would try it again as it’s nice to get a personal pizza.

I’m holding out hope for pie 5. I only have been there once and was not impressed but maybe it was what I ordered. Next time I’ll try a different crust the classic was just not to my liking and the Tuscan sauce was just ehhh. It all just seemed kind of bland and flavorless. But I will for sure give it a second chance and a review update once I do. But as of right now Blaze is the way to go for this type of place.

This place is cool. The periodic table of toppings intrigued the chemist in me. The location is very easy to access. I ordered the high five pizza and added peppers, mixed veggies and magic. The pizza was done in less than 10 minutes. They have great options. The price is high. However, unlimited toppings can’t be beat.

Great pizza. Staff was a little slow, didn’t seem to talk to each other regarding the status of orders, and others were just plain rude.

Pretty basic storefront eatery in a strip mall. Inside is wood covered, a long sectioned off aisle leading from the door to the ordering counter. Once at the counter you choose from a individual deepdish or thin crust, and what you want on it. There are named combos on the large wall sign to speed you along if you are new. There are also salads and thick cookies/brownies. They have a mix soda machine, like most of the new fast food places. The good: The pizza really is ready in five minutes. The pizzas are good. The deserts are good. The bad: When the place is crowded it is very loud. The pizzas do take five minutes, which during the busy time really backs up the line. I can see a time where someone with an MBA tries to cut the expenses by using cheaper ingredients. At that point there will be no reason to go, because the current quality is the only reason to go.

Good good good. They have deep dish or thin crust and gluten free as well. Very similar to blaze pizza. You can add a a salad or dessert and make it a bundle. All pizzas are $ 6.99. Great customer service and the line moved super fast for it to be the twelve o’clock hour. Will definitely be back a must try spot!

Great place for a quick pizza, all the toppings you want for 6.99. They have a menu of suggested pizzas, or you can select your own toppings. They have a free rewards program, you get a free pie after 20 points. You get 10 just for signing up and 4 for each pie you order. They offer 4 crusts: thin, multigrain, deep and gluten free for $ 2 more. You can get it as a salad too instead of on a crust. Make it a combo with a side salad or desert and a drink for 9.99. They have the touch screen coke dispenser.

*Disclosure: I came here this week for a blogger event. I had been wanting to try Pie Five for a while now, since I’ve tried Blaze(Novi/RO) and MOD(Northville/Livonia). 12 Mile/Telegraph isn’t super far away from me, but it’s an area that I usually have no occasion to travel to, as I live in Troy. PROS: –They have Coke Freestyle machines, yay. I had a root beer with vanilla flavoring. –Pricing is reasonable. $ 6.99 for your pizza, OR if you do their happy hour(M-Thurs, 2−6pm) you can get any pizza for $ 5. –The pizza is very tasty. You also have your choice of crust here, which the other two(Blaze/MOD) don’t offer — you can do the typical thin crust, a «pan» type crust(reminded me of Chicago deep dish but not as thick), whole wheat thin crust, or gluten-free crust(add $ 2 for gluten free, so your pizza would be $ 8.99). –They have BROWNIEPIES which are also quite delicious. We sampled the chocolate brownie and some sort of blondie, which was my favorite. These are $ 1.69 per slice or $ 9.99 for a full pie, I’m definitely getting myself a slice next time. –The crust was nice and crispy. Sometimes when I add a lot of toppings + a pesto drizzle at the end, the crust becomes soggy. CONS: –The pizza is a little bit smaller than the larger types at Blaze/MOD — I’d say it’s more of a personal-sized pizza, although I still had leftovers. –This is me being picky, but Blaze has this ovalini mozzarella that I can’t find anywhere else, I’d love for Pie Five to have more cheese choices though they do have a good amount(mozz, cheddar, feta, ricotta, etc.). I’ll be back to Pie Five at some point for the happy hour deal :). And if you’re interested, check out my blog post about Pie Five here:

First visit. Pizza was pretty good. I tried the chicken carbonara. My boyfriend had the farmer’s market. Tried to use the $ 5 coupon offered by Unilocal but the manager did not know what it was so they did not honor it.

The reason this place is getting 5 stars is not because it is the best Italian style pizza I have had, but because the price to quality ratio and price to quantity ratio are both on point. For $ 6.99 you can craft an approximately 9″ pizza with whatever toppings you like, no limits! I choose their thin crust with spicy marinara, mozzarella, ricotta, bacon, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, onion, kalamata olives, banana peppers, and a little of their magic dust to finish it off. For a pizza that was made right in front of me in 5 minutes it was very tasty and also very filling. If I lived in the area this would be a favorite lunch spot.

Pie Five Pizza is a great new addition to the market. Their $ 6.99 price point for ANY pizza is fabulous. I’ve been 3 times and have left very satisfied. Unlimited toppings = unlimited options! Veggies and toppings have always been fresh and consistent. My only complaint is that the process of picking out toppings/making the pizza is a little slow. Overall, a great fast casual dining option!

Similar to Blaze yet the two are wholly different in execution and taste. I suggest you read the board and menu to be prepared to step up and order. There is a bit of a learning curve since the choices are varied. Others have done nicely explaining the interworkings. Very cool that I got a free pie coupon in the mail since I live nearby. Good marketing. First time in I ordered the deep dish w Tuscan sauce. I chose deep dish because the thin looked less impressive and I was concerned about many toppings on a thin. I added quite a few meats and toppings to get a taste of many(see pic). After the pizza is done you can add cilantro, basil, and/or feta. There is also a special spice you can request. I happened to hear another customer request it. Not sure if they would hve told me. Solid tasty pizza. Personal 9″ that is not quite the size of Blaze. Crust and cheese solid but nothing impressive immediately. Toppings solid in taste but none stood out as impressive. With chains you worry about topping quality. I judge a pizza place by the pepperoni and sausage quality amongst other variables. The pork sausage(they hve Italian too but I didnt try it yet) and pepperoni were not high quality. The peppers are actually a mix of green and red which is atypical. Sticking to green is better but no biggie. There is an email/mobile crust club you can join. Forewarning — if you get a lot of toppings, esp. for a carryout, the crust can become soggy if you do not eat it quick. I did ask for a bit of extra sauce. A reheat in the oven at home may be needed. I will be back but since I have a few other faves it will fall within that pecking order. There is no half rating so I would give this a 3.5 Pizza could be a touch hotter.

WOW! do agree with Ron C. on many points !!! Great and thx to you :) Love the quick-quality concept You had me at unlimited toppings = one flat price. I have been there twice because it is close to the office. Super friendly staff ready to help out newbies with the menu :) Yup me, but gotta love me lol Now lets march on to the food. So to start it is not a one size fits most crust selection 4 choices Classic Pan… tried it and liked it Artisan Thin… tried it and liked it Gluten Free. not yet Whole Grain Thin… pass so far but my co-worker liked it Sauces 7to sample tuscan marinara spicy marinara bbq buffalo ranch ranch olive oil alfredo So I chose the high five as my gourmet selection $ 6.99 Tuscan Marinara Cheddar Pepperoni Italian Sausage bacon Ham Beef Plus I added on at no charge extra cheese mushrooms red cherry tomatoes sun dried tomatoes mushrooms red onions fresh minced basil and magic dust 5 stars for the High Five This is the 1st one to open in Michigan .with 3 more on the heels of this, one will even feature a Roof Top Deck, which Michigan does not have enough of. Awesome friendly staff and speedy service…2.5 min to make and 2.5 min to cook… I want the oven for home !!! They have the famous Coke freestyle machine, like several movie places do. I look forward to there eventual expansion north & east! Parking during lunch time is awful because so many places in a strip mall. Once it took 20 min to park. So go at off hours. Good deal and a fair price… Thumbs Up !!!

Ugh, no. We stood for 20 minutes as the polite, but somewhat inept, staff of many milled around and bumped into each other. Not trying to be mean, but it wasn’t what I’d call a well-oiled machine. The crust is awful, and the sauces are way too salty. For only $ 2 – 4 more, there are so many great choices in the area for fantastic pizza.

This place is great! $ 6.99 for either a specialty pizza or a create your own. Unlimited toppings! You see them make your pizza and in to the oven. It’s out of the oven in 2.5 minutes! Love the chipotle/subway concept, but with pizza. The classic pie crust was yummy! I will be going back!

WOW! Love the quick-quality concept You had me at unlimited toppings = one flat price. J.D. the owner was there to greet & meet all of his future & potential customers, truly he should change his name to Mr Charisma! Now lets march on to the food. So to start it is not a one size fits most crust selection 4 choices Classic Pan(yes it exceeds PH) Artisan Thin(yes it matches Tomatos Apizza) Gluten Free($ 2 bump but I did not try it) Whole Grain Thin(I ordered it for the sake of trying something new) It truly stole the show, blew away my preconceived notions, that all whole wheat choices are: flavorless mundane cardboard, with sauce on top It was cracker thin, but not dry or brittle It had a nice wheat color to it It was laid out & rolled with a perforated roller(no bubbles here) Sauces 7to sample tuscan marinara spicy marinara bbq buffalo ranch ranch olive oil alfredo So I chose the high five as my gourmet selection $ 6.99 Tuscan Marinara Cheddar Pepperoni Italian Sausage bacon Ham Beef Plus I added on at no charge banana peppers jalapeño peppers red cherry tomatoes sun dried tomatoes mushrooms red onions fresh minced basil and magic dust 5 stars for the High Five This is the 1st one to open in Michigan .with 3 more on the heels of this, one will even feature a Roof Top Deck, which Michigan does not have enough of. Although they had a large staff of employees for the soft opening, the hired people that were very Friendly Smiling Engaging And cared more than enough to make your experience welcoming & memorable in a good way Also the amount of backers & financiers were present & soliciting feedback. Dre’ who invited Holly & me as her plus 1(thank you for the invite) Truly grasped, marketing & social media 101& beyond. The event tonight was a courtesy soft opening, but the place donated all the money spent on desserts & pop to local charities The interior was very cozy and top grade. The bathroom Lotion-Water-Dryer gizmo is worth a stop by just to see it! Also they have the famous Coke freestyle machine, but what captured my hydration urge was the lightly sweetened black tea Boy Oh Boy was it addictive… light hint of sweet, & I swear I could taste tea leaves. One last touch I found appealing to me the consumer. TOGO Menus posted outside in a weather proof clear box, so you know what to expect & what your spending before going inside. I look forward to there eventual expansion north & east!

This place is fantastic! The concept is similar to blaze(subway/chipotle style pizza) but the ingredients are so fresh and they offer a lot of different options including about 7 different styles of pizza sauce and 5 different crust options! Everybody was extremely hospitable and super friendly! the lines moved so quick especially because the pies cooked in 2.5 mins! It’s called pie FIVE because it takes 2.5 mins to prep and 2.5mins to cook which I thought was slick lol. The pies run $ 6.99 for unlimited topping and you could exclude or include anything on preset pizza options! I tried the Athenian which had chicken, Kalamata olives, onions, mushrooms, yellow peppers, sun dried tomatoes and feta but I added some bacon :) it was delish! I did it on a traditional crust which was nice and chewy yet super fluffy. Overall, this place was pretty great, inexpensive, and a prime location on 12 and telegraph! Total recommend if you’re in the area and craving a pie :)
