Outback in Southfield, Michigan is terrible. How are you going to mess my order up and be slow at the same time?. I will not be going back

Not sure if I got a good server or what but my service was pretty good. No order mess ups and everything was prepared to my liking, the food even came pretty fast. Don’t see the difference between this outback and the rest of em.

This is by far the worst Outback I’ve ever been to. Although the service was decent the quality of the food was horrible. I’m not sure if its just this location or the people but they never get it right! Either its missing food(which is paid for) or its bad attitudes when addressed with the problems. So sad that the only location close to Detroit has to be the worst location. Our people have to do better!

SAVEYOURTIME! DONOTEATHERE! The«meal» tonight was totally not expected. A friend and I went to this location to celebrate a special event in out lifes. From the time we walked in the door it was anything expect special. We were told there was going to be at least a 15 minute wait which was unexpected since most of the tables were empty. There were three host one of which was wearing sweatpants and a jacket, yet still talking to customers while playing with her hair. We ordered a blooming onion. When it came to the table it was so greesy it damn near slid off the plate. The bread came and was cold and the butter was frozen. Our salads came and the croutons were soggy. For our meals we ordered a cheese and bacon fry(which was delivered with no bacon) and a steak with mash potatoes. The fries came without the other meal. We asked to speak to the manager, named Beth. We were told she would be out shortly, he also let us know they are out of mashed potatoes. Roughly 15 minutes later she came to the table, still no food. She asked«what is wrong» with attitude. When I tried to explain the evening so far she said well the server must have rang it up wrong. She then said«I don’t ring in orders». She also explained they are out of mashed potatoes since there was a large party and she is very busy. She first said it would be 10 minutes but then said it takes an hour to make some mashed potatoes. She was so rude. When we explained there was no bacon on the fries she said«well it looks like he brought you a side». When the medium rare steak came out it well done and butterflied. I assumed talking with Beth again was a lost cause so I kindly canceled my order and left ten dollars on the table to cover the salad, and the frozen butter and cold bread. I was so discussed with the way the restaurant is managed I will not be going back. I feel some training should be given to the employees, covering topics on professionalism, how to properly put in orders, and how to treat others. The restaurant was so nice looking on the outside, it’s a shame the people inside are so rude and the food was awful. The manager Beth was one of the rudest people I have met. Perhaps she should work somewhere differently, like in a place that doesn’t deal with others. SAVEYOURTIMEDONOTEATHERE!

In reality this dump deserves a negative star rating. Not only was the hostess blatantly rude from the get-go, and each of our orders(5 total) were all far from what we ordered. They mess up all of our meals, and when we informed the hood rat waitress of the screw ups, she literally yells«what the fuck are you white folk so damn picky fo », to which i laughed, and then left the restaurant. DON’T waste your money here. This location employs nothing but entitled ignoramuses who have NOINTENTION of doing the job they are paid to do properly.

LIke most people are saying, this place gets low marks. Call in waiting was horrible. They kept hanging up on me. They gave me wrong wait times. When I did show up, my time was not honored… everyone still has to wait 15 minutes even when there are dozens of empty tables. Snotty greeters. Lots of attitude from employees. Wait time for food was ridiculous. Just a horrible experience all together. Management needs to fire every single employee and start from scratch.

The new management at this restaurant is great. The service is at a high standard. They really make the casual dining experience comfortable and inviting. The food was truly made to order. Both steaks were cool tender and to the preference of both diners. Everything was served promptly and adjustments were made timely and politely. This restaurant is good for lunch and dinner and would be a great place go to regularly. Good service, beverages and meals.

My friend and I went here for dinner on Saturday night, around 7:30. As soon as we walked in, we were told there was a wait. No problem, we said, we’d sit at the bar. We sat and had a drink, and then another… and after 45 minutes, we still weren’t seated, so we decided to eat at the bar. This was a huge mistake. There were two ladies working behind the bar, who were quick to make an alcoholic drink for a patron… but little else. We had to ask for everything multiple times(including menus!) — bread, a Coke, etc required multiple requests. When we got our food, it was cold, but we ate it anyway, because of the long wait time. My friend ordered the endless shrimp with her steak, which turned out to be a joke, since it took so long to get the first round, she didn’t bother to ask for anything else. While we were eating, there was a guy who came in for a carryout order. The bartender brought him a glass of lemonade. He said, «I asked for this to go.» She smiled and said, «sure! This is just for you to drink while we get your order together.» He was still waiting FORHISCARRYOUT when we left, over an hour later. Ridiculous. I won’t be back to this location.

Absolutely rude customer service! The owner is very nasty and rude! «Beth» states she owns the franchise however she was worst than the other Rude waiters! High priced food and terrible customer service where you don’t get your food that you paid for will keep me away from this place from now on!!! I won’t ever come back

This was the worst experience I have ever had at any Outback. If this is what Australian food is, I will never visit Down Under. Everything took so long to come up and the restaurant isn’t even that busy for a Wednesday. The Blooming Onion was so fried, we couldn’t eat it. When asked how it was the greeter seemed surprised and didn’t know what to do so he walked away! We had to hunt down the Manager who was nice and apologetic. The steak was as thick as a pancake and looked nothing like the pictures… but it was cooked right and tasted good — all four bites of it. The broccoli was warm, but you could tell ot was reheated and stuck together by the cheese. Please do not come here in the near future!

Didn’t even bother to sit down. Was gonna sit at the bar but it was kinda tight. Got up, went to the restroom, went to the hostess stand & asked for a table. They looked perplexed. Place full of empty tables. The boy checked the computer and said a table needed to be wiped off. Asked if I could sit at a table in the bar area. The girl says«Idk if there’s a waitress over there.» I said«well who’s waiting on those ppl(pointing to ppl sitting at tables in the bar area). She says«what ppl?» At that point, I walked out. Smh

Currently been on hold for carryout for 25 min and still holding! Ordered here twice before and waited way past the given time to receive my food and neither time was it made correct! Figured since it was a Wednesday I might have better luck but these employees are totally incompetent. I have no clue how this restaurant is still open this is totally ridiculous! Greenfield Outback you suck for real, worst sh!# ever!!! If I could give them no stars I would!

Walk in at 8:20pm, Outback closes at 9:30pm. We can see all the open tables(like half of the restaurant is empty), staff takes my name, party of 2 and just says«okay». No info on wait time. So we sit. Other parties walk in behind us, he takes their name and they ask«Is there a wait?», to which the host says«yeah there is. Staff is getting ready to get off work because we’re about to close in an hour.» WHAT?!? Have you lost your mind?! Why would I want to eat somewhere with a first impression of a rude hostess? Where me, the paying CUSTOMER, is made to feel as if I’m rude for coming MORE than an hour before you close. Customer service is everything! Without it you just have poor help.

Waited 40 minutes for the appetizer, which came 2 minutes before the meal. My «medium rare 6 oz sirloin» was a two-inch thick strip of meat that was dry on the outside and cold and RAW on the inside. Not worth the $ 42 paid for two meals. Won’t be returning.

Terrible service! Came on a weekday night and the service was just bad. Ordered drinks rather quickly but they took about 15 minutes to make it to the table — then when they did, my drink was wrong. He gave me a glass of sprite, which he had on his tray and told me it was water and he’d be back with my diet. I got my soup before my drink came. Refills took forever and the food was just adequate. The burger was a gross, thin, formerly frozen patty. Just lame all around.

So I came to Outback because I wanted a steak and didn’t want to drive too far from my home. That was a bad idea. I normally don’t eat steak at Outback because I have Never had a good experience here. I order the salmon but I had a taste for a steak since I’ll be going on a diet soon. I ordered the«special» sirloin with crab topping. It was not only over cooked but extremely dry. So then I tried again and ordered a ribeye medium. I’m not sure of how this happens but the center was well done but the edges were medium. Now I have a catering business and have NEVER seen a steak cooked this way in all of my life. I ate it any way because I was hungry. My waitress was very friendly, polite and apologetic. Otherwise I would have paid for my appetizer and drink and walked out. It was my fault for not ordering salmon I guess. I did however order the strawberry poptail and I was delicious!!! I guess I won’t be going back any time soon once again

Got to give this place one star for a recent curbside pick-up I did. I placed the order online for a 5:20 pick-up. I got my food at 5:43. Nightmare. 1. I placed the order online around 4:00 p.m. for a 5:20 p.m. pick-up. Single steak dinner. No special requests. 2. I showed up around 5:16 and was quickly greeted at my car and gave the gentleman my credit card. This is where they got me. There was a place for a tip. And on a pick-up order under $ 20, I gave the kid a $ 5 tip. Wish I knew what was to follow. 3. A car pulled-up to me a few minutes later. The lady inside placed an order from her. Didn’t realize you could do that. It just seems to easier to order online, show up, pick-up and go. Or so I thought. 4. Five cars pulled-up in the next 20 minutes and quickly got their orders. The gentleman who was solely operating the curbside never once came to my car to explain the lengthening delay. 5. Now for the biggest insult. The lady who arrived in her car after me, placed her order from her car, got her food. Yes, she got her food before me. So, if you order online for a certain pick-up, you get your food nearly 25 minutes after your schedule time. But if you show-up, order from the car, you get your food more quickly. My food came, the gentleman never once said sorry or explained why the food was so late. So I shouted to him as he walked away that I needed to talk to a manager. A manager arrived. He was really great. And he gave me coupons for two free appetizers. He did his best with the situation and seemed concerned. I told him that his employee needs to communicate with customers if the order was messed up or is going to be so late. He agreed. Hopefully he took steps to fix this for people in the future. I threw these coupons away the minute I got home. I would never patronize this Outback Steakhouse again. And I am going to question any Outback Steakhouse. It seems they have flaws in their curbside pick-up that need to be addressed. What’s said, is now I am going to have trouble giving any sort of tip before service is served. How can you tip when it’s possible your food will show up 23 minutes late?
