Fuddruckers

I’m fairly new to the are and wanted a burger, since the two Five Guys around here suck, I chose Fuddruckers. I had never been so I stood back to view the menu for a couple of minutes. You order the pound of meat you want, the bun and add premium toppings. Next, you will get a pager then your food. You add your own toppings btw. The burger was actually really good, fries-​not so much. I was disappointed that for ‘fresh fries’ they were soft wedges, hmmm. For a ¹⁄₃ lb burger with cheese and their fries&rings, It ran me about $ 11. I’d go back because the service was really good. They speak when you arrive/​leave, keep the place clean, and ask if you need anything. All in all, it’s a solid option.

We love this place! Friendly staff, fast service and they cook our burgers perfect everytime. We’ll definitely keep coming!

Love it there! Very quick service. I believe the guy was the manager, he was patient with us, very attentive, and seemed like he genuinely cared about our time in there. He even offered to help me with seating my child. And the food is AMAZING! Definitely coming back!

If you’ve come across my other reviews, you’ll know as a lifelong Southfield resident I am HIGHLY critical of Southfield establishments and the city planner due primarily to the fact that a good night on the town with the fellas or the wife, 90% of the time involves leaving Southfield in the pursuit of happiness!
Enter Fuddruckers!!!
What a wonderful «surprise»!!! This is a new build out in existing strip mall. While not a full size, traditional Fuddruckers, I am not new to the format as I have frequented the one on Woodward. Anyone not familiar to what I am talking about. This Fuddruckers is not a full size dine-​in restaurant but one scaled down to target Lunch and take-​out diners. While I may not fully agree with this layout for my own selfish reasons, it is the correct format for Southfield and its location.
Décor — clean, straight forward, nothing to get excited about. When you walk in, layout directs you toward the order counter where your met with a huge, overhead menu. On my first visit I found it uncomfortable high… and given its directly over the register that had staff waiting to take my order and line queuing behind me… I felt like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld was going to popup and kick me out the line for not being able to rattle my order off in efficient manner, It was complete opposite. The staff was SUPER NICE and very patience and helpful. They seemed to be trained VERY well and understand that many customers that have experienced Fuddruckers, may have done so in traditional format and this a handheld menu.
After placing my order, I was given one of those restaurant flashing, square pagers, carefully explained the next steps and given a cup. The order taker then yelled out the order to the line cooks. I moved down the counter watching the cooks scrambling quickly back and forth. I found that interesting as it was only 1 customers waiting on their orders ahead of me.
At the end of the counter there is topping bar, that contained VERY fresh and diverse topping to place on my burger. The area was clean and well stocked! Across from that is two electronic soda machines. The ones that contain like 100 favors of your favorite beverage!
Got my drink and sat at table. There are also booths
as well. It was similar to sitting at tables at Five Guys but had more of a restaurant feel vs cafeteria. They have a few tvs hung throughout the dine-​in space. It was cool as they were on sports channels. Within 5 mins of sitting down the pager went off. I went back to the counter and picked up my order. Now I understood why the guys were rushing behind the counter… They are very well trained and actually care about what they do and pleasing the customer. Best staff I’ve seen in long time.
Food smelt so good, I could not wait to get home and eat, picking at the super hot fries as I drove. Got home and smashed the rest of my order. Burger was cooked perfectly, I like med-​well which means done throughout with slight tint of pink. Most take out places never get the pink! The cooks that this location know how to make a mean burger! I went for the ²⁄₃ hamburger with peperjack and bacon… FOOD COMA!!! When I awoke at 1:30am fully dressed in my bed with every light in the house on, I knew I had found my new guilty pleasure!!!
I’ve been back to this Fuddruckers four more times since and each visit I continue to receive the excellent service and delicious food that I experienced on my first visit.
The only con I have was stated at the beginning of this review. This Fuddruckers was truly a surprise and seemed to open with little fanfare or notification. I only stubbled across it when I noticed the sign when leaving the Wing Stop across the street.
Maybe it was the long construction project on Evergreen that caused this locations opening to go unnoticed, or maybe it was just my avoiding evergreen that caused it but truly happy I found it.
Lastly it’s a bit of a shame the original proposed Fuddruckers slated for greenfield next to Outback never materialized. I say this because while this location does carry beer, the fact that it’s not full scale, full service resultant means it can’t compete with Friday’s or Applebee’s for the social aspect of dining but when it comes to a good meal it has both beat hands down!!! And you won’t be screened or patted down by a security guard when you go to pickup your carry out order (Friday’s)!!!

Got a project in southfield, came across this new location. I know what they offer from previous other locations. Ate here and was shocked with the improvement. Very very tasty burgers. Asked manager what’s the difference? He answered better chefs.

Talk price — inexpensive and you get the value. Been there 3 times in one week. Enjoyable

I went to Fuddruckers in Southfield two times since they have opened. It is by far my favorite place for lunch. The staff is amazing. The burgers are great and always well done (how I like it). The service was fast! You can put your own toppings on your burnger and not to mention bottomless fries :) (you can’t lose with that). if you want a great fun place I would reccomened them. espically with co-​workers, you cant dispoint.

My wife and I were driving by when we noticed a now open sign. Stopped in for lunch and so happy we did! Place is new, so extremely clean and the food was really fresh and tasty! Love the fact you can add any topping you like. Surprised with how great the service for a new a place. Too bad we don’t live that close or we would be there more often!
