The staff is super friendly, and they have an attention to detail not found at other salons. No bubbles or chips!

Really don’t understand how they have such bad reviews! Been patronizing this nail shop for 7 years! They always provided consistency and same owners! I recommend allll the male nail techs, and Linda is the only female nail tech I prefer! Friendly, clean, offer free drinks, and quality service! They are always busy, so go during the week! FYI They are slightly higher than nail shops in the area!

I came here for acrylics. On the positive side, I only paid $ 27. But I’m adding pictures to the review so you can see why they were only $ 27. These were the nails on day #1. He didn’t cut back the cuticles — it’s day #1 and already looks like I need a fill. Also, the nails were filed square as is the norm, but he did a wacky job with the filing and it actually looks like they cave in a bit at the center — like imagine a u-shape with the bottom of the u pointing downward towards your nail bed. They look terribly unnatural.

I got a fungal infection from Allure nails. I do not know what has happened to their service, but it has gone down! I am worried because I am pregnant AND my two daughters got pedicures as well. We waited for sooooo long before being seen, then we waited with our feet soaking forever. My service was not relaxing, very poor pedicure. I was looking for a relaxing experience… I felt like they did a poor job and they over charged me. The salt scrub burned my legs and feet, I got scabs all over my legs & feet! They mixed up the service and gave my 9 year old a deluxe pedicure but gave my friend a basic! WTF!

I work at a pretty nice salon in Birmingham– and in the effort to save some money(even though I get a discount) I wanted to try Allure because my mom comes here. There is a major difference in my salon versus Allure– my staff is MUCH better!!! At our salon– we charge $ 72 for mani and pedi, I paid $ 34 today… you get what you pay for. The manicurist cleaned up my cuticles well, but when she painted my nails, she got color all over my cuticles– looks kinda sloppy. My pedi took under 20 mins!!! WTF! I wanted a relaxing, massaging, 30 – 45 min pedi. Like I said– I got what I paid for! I can still feel rough edges on my feet!!! UGHHHH!!! Not good! The salon seemed clean and it was busy. But– I have been spoiled by my salon I work for… so I may have for fork over the extra $$$ to get top notch services. I would go back if I was in a crunch– but I would not willingly go back.

The staff did not greet me when I walked in the their salon. They did not ask how I was doing, and most importantly, they did not ask what services I wanted. They looked at me and went on about their business of tending to their current clients(other nail shops make it their business to at least say«hello», even if they are busy). Nonetheless, I signed-in, took a seat and waited 10 minutes to be asked what I needed. They didn’t. I left and went to Lee Nails that I had passed on the way to this salon. They were just as busy, but the atmosphere was more pleasant, and they greeted me, and asked what I wanted as soon as I walked in. Needless to say, they(Lee Nails) got my business, and I got my no-chip nail service.

Do not go to Allure. I’ve been to this place several times, and every time I have left disappointed. Their time management is awful. I have made appointments days in advanced(thinking it would help get me in) and have waited 20 minutes for the nail tech to actually show up, and then had to wait an additional 30 minutes soaking in cold water while she fussed around in back. They have tried to used tools on me that they have used on other clients. I have waited in the pedi-chairs for at least 30 minutes every time I’ve gone there. They rush through your set, not taking the time to assess what needs to be done. They will use the same gloves on you that they used on the person before you. They touch the phone, cash, and their faces and then touch your hands and feet. Some of the girls are really nice and talkative, but they lack real skills; I’ve left with bloody cuticles! 07 Nails in Birmingham is absolutely wonderful, as is Cupid Nails, and Nails etc. Allure fails to impress. The prices at Allure are relatively cheap, but so is their service. If you want watered-down nail polish, dirty tools, and surly employees, I highly recommend Allure. If you want anything better than poor service, take your money anywhere else.

Allure Nails came to the Southfield area just about one year ago. It sits in a medium sized plaza just south of 13 Mile on the east side of Southfield Rd. I needed quick a french manicure on my both my toes and nails and they did not disappoint. I walked in and signed the sign-in sheet. Before one minute had passed, I was in someones chair and she quickly got to work on my nails. Everything took only 30 minutes, and they were beautiful! What I really liked about this place was that my nails were completely dry when I left and even many days after, they still looked as though I had just gotten them done. Can’t wait to go back for the full services.
