It’s ok for what it is. Sports bar with typical sports bar food. Nothing to write home about but hey, if you’re looking for a lot of TVs showing sport events and beer, this is your place.

Me and some friends decided to go and have some drinks and appetizers here on a late Saturday night when we first arrived the hostess was on the phone which we were like whatever that didn’t bother us but after she got off the phone she asked if it was just three I guess we didn’t answer fast enough so the rude a** hostess yelled at us as if she had lost her mind where they do that at the service here was horrible I don’t know who ticked her off on that phone but she took it out on her customers not professional we informed the manager who made her apologize but that was still not acceptable to me I WILLNOTBEBACK!

For what it is, it’s not bad. A sports bar with the usual bar fare and multiple t.v.s. The service was SLOW at the bar, but it is still relatively new. The burger was good, and the beer was cold. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, good service. Maybe next time. I’ll give them another try before I give up on them. Try it. Might be just what you’re looking for.

5 star all around. Show me a better sports bar and grill around here and I’ll show you a liar!

KBJs has come a long way since I first tried it and wasn’t impressed in Fayetteville. The food here has been consistently good, and the service has been great! It is apparent the management is involved and the staff is well trained. It is no excuses comfort food, but coupled with a great draft selection, it has become my favorite for watching sports and getting a good bite to eat!

We went to Kickback’s last night about 6:30PM while the NCAA basketball games were on, so it was busy and noisy. That being said, we were seated in about 10 minutes by a young lady who looked tired and barely spoke to us. Our server was very nice and helpful. I ordered ribs(very tasty, melted in my mouth) and my husband ordered a fish combo, which he enjoyed. No substitutions, by the way. You have to pay extra if you want them. I ordered a Caesar’s salad on the side but it never arrived. My husband’s flounder never came either. The waitress had to hunt them down. When they came, the portions were very generous. With the loud games, hunting our food down, etc., I give this restaurant a 3 out of 5. I think Lunch would be so much better.

Went on a Saturday night, which may be the reason our visit and meals were so bad. This was our first visit since«Tripps» used to occupy the site(we loved Tripps, BTW). Did not realize this was now a sports bar. Whatever, it is waaaay overdone. I don’t mind multiple TVs(15+) showing a variety of sports shows, but do they all have to be turned up to 11? Adding to the din was a large crowd of customers trying to talk OVER the sound of the TVs. Got seated after about a 35 minute wait(expected with the crowd). The service was pretty quick and my wife ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered a pasta dish. However, it took forever to get our meals. The food was barely warm. I sent mine back to be microwaved and the wife elected to eat her sort-of-warm cheeseburger. Food was edible but nothing outstanding. The bill with 2 beers($ 4 each) was over $ 35. Way too expensive for standard fare. Too expensive, too noisy, and disappointing.

Our server was great, but the food was awful! My husband got sick after eating the wings, my son wouldn’t touch the Mac-n-cheese or the pizza and my sandwich was blah at best. We asked if we could order something made a little different than the menu described. We were told there were no special orders allowed, ever. Our first and last trip.

Absolutely terrible. Slow service-15 minutes to order drinks. The food was stomach turning. The buffalo wings were mushy and the sauce was gritty. Kid’s pizza was soggy and funky. Worst experience at a restaurant… ever.

The best sports pub in the area. Really good food and the service was excellent. Great beer selection too. For the smokers they have a nice separate area with bay doors that open during nice weather. You gotta understand the noise level is high cuz it’s a sports bar so folks need to relax about that issue.

Had to go order for $ 51. After paying bill asked for extra sauce. Was charged another 43 cents. Told order would be ready in 15 – 20 minutes. It took 35 – 40 minutes. The wings were undercooked and not very warm. Had to cook them for another 20 minutes. Will not be returning to Kickback. Hickory is much better.

I am basing this only on the fact that my wife, daughter and I waited 15 minutes and no one even came to take our drink order. 2 girls opening doors for customers, 4 hostesses and not enough staff to take orders, prioritization is needed.

Had no idea I was walking into a sports bar. Heard the nachos were grand and felt like having a fruity cocktail, so we headed here. 56 screens(including some in the bathrooms), to get your sports on. Since it was a Tuesday afternoon, it was pretty mellow, and I can only imagine what it would be like on a Sunday. Not my cup of tea, but if huge portions and a noisy environment are your thing, you’ll probably like this place. Forgot to mention, my cocktail was pretty good.

It’s about time good fun comes to Southern Pines. Food good and hot. Wait staff are awesome.

Other than size(it’s considerably bigger) not unlike our other chain sports bars for ambience: barn-like and noisy. BUT, several notches above where it counts most — food and service. The hamburger was ordered medium rare and that’s how it was served. Others in our group had an appetizer variety plate and a turkey BLT; both sampled and both very good. Servers seem to double up when needed — very smoothly done. All were pleasant, helpful. There when needed but not intrusive. Tripp’s was one of our favorite casual dinner places and this isn’t Tripp’s, but it’ll do for lunch in the sports bar rotation.

Manager is horrible– waitstaff dropped a pizza down my mother’s arm… causing burns on her wrist-manager did nothing-i assume staff never alerted him, but when he finally walked by to make a little conversation and we told him what happened, he says let me check on your food… never came back, never did a thing. Stood over with another man watching sports on tv waiting for us to go away. Charged us the entire bill, did not even offer to pay for her lunch after they burned her. I took a photo of her skin. Food is terrible-salmon overcooked, pizza dripping in grease, flat bread sandwich is bread squished a little, not flat bread so very poor description of the food item and steak was tasteless. Do not waste the time or money unless you are just going to drink beer. Contacted corporate, got a phone message and email-when i replied they ignored me… typical with this company it seems.

I have been to Kickback Jacks 3 times now. The first time I had a server who was obviously new to waiting tables and was constantly hovering. The second time it took 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress. All three times our food was brought out separately which was really weird the last time when there were 7 in our party. The food is mediocre even for bar food with the exception of the Old Fashioned Burger. On the positive side, food is fairly reasonably priced. It does have a fun atmosphere, especially for kids, with a put put outside and arcade games inside. There are tvs EVERYWHERE so I could see it being a fun place to hang out with friends and watch sports. We will return but we won’t expect much.

Recently opened this remodeled location — what I love about this chain is the fact they embrace and keep up with technology — when large flat screens came out they had HUGE frames around the screen — other sports bars still have them — Battleground group that owns this chain started with projection big screens but has quickly move to 90″ flat screens! So if you are a sports fan it does not get any better!!! Full menu so wings burgers, ribs, pizzas etc and full line of drafts!

Went here only a few after their grand opening– so as one could expect, it was quite crowded on a Friday evening. They had ample wait staff and hostesses and I was satisfied by the speed of service considering how crowded it was. Friendly enough staff, but wasn’t wowed by them. Food was above average for this type of chain restaurant, and I felt it reasonably priced. Decent beer selection too and lots of TVs throughout. However, I feel the placement of the patio and restrooms could have been a bit more convenient. Overall, I prefer this to the Buffalo Wild Wings in town and will return

Kickback Jacks has just opened in the site formerly occupied by Tripps. It is an upscale sports bar, with more than 25 screens of TV, a varied and appetizing looking menu, and lots of well dressed, professionally appearing wait staff. Our experience was flawless from beginning to end. We had shrimp po boy sandwiches which had perfectly cooked shrimp piled high on a fresh baked roll, with a generous serving of delicious fries. Nearly every sever who came by our table asked how our food was, checked to see if we needed anything and were pleasant, courteous and competent. This is not the place for the quiet special dinner with you spouse, but I would rate it the best sports bar in the area. There is an outdoor patio bar, and reserved parking for picking up takeout.
