***STAYAWAY*** It became immediately obvious why this was the only hotel available during my stay in the Southern Pines area, don’t be fooled by the pictures, this hotel needs to be condemned NOW!!! To make matters worse I return to my room after a day of work and house keeping had removed my phone charger from my room for their personal use(in other words they stole it) I have added pictures of my stay. By the way the breakfast is horrible too. *********STAYAWAY********

Don’t get fooled by the Pinehurst in the name, pick another location! Although it’s not a hotel that I would say needs to be on the«avoid at all cost» list. It’s definitely not a place I would take my family or return unless it was the only remaining choice. Service: The young man that checked me into the hotel was helpful and quick on the check-in but everyone else I encountered was horrible. Slow and inattentive to their guests needs! Examples: The folks who arrived ahead of me received rooms that hadn’t even been cleaned from the previous guests. The outer doors that are locked after hours for security don’t open up with use of a room key when I tried them at 7:45am so I had to walk around the hotel to the front door to get in. When I did get inside the hotel lobby I think I woke up the clerk at the front desk who was in the office behind the counter leaning back in a chair on verge of falling over. Once he got up when I told him about the outer doors he took off leaving the desk abandoned. In fact as I write this review sitting in the lobby the front desk phone has been ringing, extremely loudly, for well over a minute with no one around to answer it at 8:20 in the morning. Business Center: A computer with printer sits atop a small table in the middle of the lobby, no privacy. Two airline pilots were trying to use he computer on their check out when they found out the printer is broken so the clerk had to let him into his office to use a computer that works. Building: The outer building looks dilapidated there is no yard or garden care as the lawn area has more crabgrass and weeds than grass. The guest at room 114 just notified the newly appeared clerk the toilette was not flushing properly and now is stopped up. Kinda gives me the idea the plumbing is in need as upkeep as the grounds. Rooms: My room was clean but the carpet is old… but not completely worn out. The furniture was older and looked to be hodgepodge’d into place so it just didn’t quite fit right. The good points was it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Complementary Breakfast: Coffee was cold and food was old. Hard to say anything more than that. Overall: The price was right at nearly $ 20.00 less a night than other hotels but for being in Southern Pines and Pinehurst area I expected a hell of a lot more. Just high and low dusting and shampooing the carpets would go a long way but I don’t think the owners or Day’s Inn cares to make that happen. If your need of a room equivalent to a Motel 6(maybe a little less) and are willing to accept rundown accommodations, poor service and going out for a coffee and breakfast in the morning for price then this place is for you. I give it 1 Star.
