I purchased a condo and did most of the reno myself. I got one other bid in addition to Bart’s and decided to go with Bart. I told him what I wanted for my sliding glass doors — one header with two blinds — he said «sure, that won’t be a problem». The other competitor wasn’t sure if that could be done, so I asked for the more common vertical blinds. Had I chosen the competitor I wouldn’t have received what I really wanted. Using Bart and Budget Blinds South, I got JUST what I wanted and they look AMAZING. Albeit 2″ aluminum blinds they’re light, smooth, and beautiful.
Bart was very nice, professional and fast at getting the blinds installed. We scheduled on a Tuesday afternoon and he was installing them Thursday morning. Impressive! He was punctual for the estimate/​installation times.
I’m going to recommend them to anyone who says they need new blinds.

We actually opted to use another company for our window treatments, but I have to echo the other sentiments shared here in terms of the excellent customer service from Bart. He came out and measured within days of me contacting him, and he had the quote to me that same day. Pricing was competitive but we simply decided to go with a different product and dealer.

We had to get a new French door for our bedroom recently. We already had blinds from Budget Blinds on the old French door so after the new door was painted, we needed the blinds reinstalled on the new door. My wife had handled the initial installation. It appeared that the Budget Blinds in Buda was the closest to us so I called them to reinstall. It turned out that the original installation was done the year before this Budget Blinds opened their doors. However, I was speaking with Bart, the owner, and he said «no problem» and we set an appointment for him to come out.
He showed up exactly on time, reinstalled the 2 sets of blinds and did a perfect job. When the job was completed, I asked Bart how much I owed him. He said that I didn’t owe him a thing. Huh?! Say that again in my good ear! I couldn’t believe it. He had a van full of blinds to install that day and he took the time to come out and reinstall blinds that we didn’t even purchase from him and he wouldn’t take any payment for his time and services.
We are getting ready to put our house on the market and we have dealt with a lot of contractors in the last couple of months. One contractor charged us for a service call to come out and give us a bid. Bart, with Budget Blinds, actually came out and did an install without charging for it. As a small business owner myself, I am pleased to know that there are still people out there that believe in exemplary customer service. Bart is one of these people. One caveat is that the Budget Blinds are franchises and service specific zip codes. You have to live in a zip code that he services.

We tried to work with Budget Blinds on a project and got stuck between territories. We wanted a cellular shade with room darkening (blackout, etc…) in one room and the same color shade in another room. To us this is a fairly standard request.
The bid from Bart took over a week to get and he didn’t take good notes on what we did with the other Budget Blinds rep. Then we found out his area only worked with Springs Window Fashions and not all the vendors budget blinds can work with.
When I asked to work with the other Budget Blinds vendor I initially worked with Bart said no. Overall I think they could learn how to better help listen to their customers needs and be more flexible to find a good solution.

After getting tired of having no blinds in any window of our home, we contacted Budget Blinds to give us an estimate on a variety of different window coverings. Bart was kind, thorough, professional and offered a product that was more affordable that I could have imagined. It was a quick process; 7 to 10 days for ordering and he came to our home 2 days after they came in to install them in 3 short hours. It makes a world of difference in our home.
