My family has ordered from DiPalmas frequently because they are the only delivery option in our town. Usually they deliver something«a little off» but this time I am upset. I called for three meals — one included a kids spaghetti and meatballs and one was the grilled veggie wrap(which described and confirmed upon ordering was breaded eggplant, peppers and ricotta among other things). I also confirmed that the wrap — as described — comes with a side of red sauce. My wrap was delivered a tortilla with only broccoli and mozzarella — not at all as described. No sauce. The kids spaghetti was only meatballs. Because we are frequent orderers I called to tell them what happened, I was put on hold for about 20 minutes(plenty of time for the not-what-ordered food to get more cold) and then told sorry and hung up. Sounded very busy, but still very disappointed. Stuck home with sick family today and was relying on some good food and maybe a little kindness.

Came in ordered chicken Alfredo in linguine Got in penne. honest mistake Got it back alredo was so bad it looked like soup So I just sat there as my wife ate dinner … How could they try to serve this Waitress looked at me like I was wrong To put in perspective. the poor girl was practically by her self.. The other waiteress… did not lift a finger to help her. was too busy playing with her phone. … 5 cooks in kitchen.. no help in front… I asked waitress who in charge. she said no one… guess she was she said. … how can a place run like this… does the owner even have a clue what’s going on… Cooks don’t care… they looked at the afredo. Like it was good. it was SOUP… water and cheese… Owner needs to take time what’s going on in his place… cause it’s not in his best interest

It would be «behoove of ya» to figure out a way to expand your delivery service outside of Southbury. Even if towards the surrounding town’s, I. E Middlebury, Woodbury…

Seems to be hit and miss. Stopped coming here for a long time but I’ve been back three times in the past month. First time it was decent, second time it was mediocre at best and today it was just awful. Haven’t had anything other than pizza here in years, but there are definitely better options around for pizza especially for as much as they are charging. Not to mention the guy answering the phone and working the counter was extremely rude.

Rarely do I leave a negative review. My friends and I were coming through the area on a trip. We found this establishment through Unilocal.Well, initially our server came to the table and quickly got our order. She wasn’t all that busy, the restaurant was about half full. We waited forever for our food which was just sandwiches and a personal pizza. The big issue came with 2 chicken sandwiches that were ordered. The chicken was rubbery on both of them. When it was brought to the attention of our waitress she took them away and briskly brought our bill back… With both rubber chicken sandwiches still on it! We got one taken off the bill. The other one? Well my friend choked half of it down before deciding he couldn’t eat anymore so it’s fair I guess. I tried it thinking it couldn’t have been that bad but… it was. The pizza and other sandwich were good. I don’t know if I’ll find myself back in the area but if so this is one place I won’t be returning to.

Ok. I’ve been known to critique a lot of the local pizzerias in a negative light lately, and I believe rightly so. One of my most harsh criticism has been aimed at Dipalmas. Their pies barely outweighed the box they were put in. With my experience in the recent past they started reducing the ingredient content on their pizzas to maximize profits. Not only did I notice this but a lot of entrepreneurs did also as we’ve had many new local pie places open up recently to hopefully take the pizza crown in town. So now some time later, I decide to give our Dipalmas another try and stab at providing what I Was looking for, a good pie that satisfied my snobby pizza appetite. I call myself a pizza snob because I was brought up on Pepes, Sally’s, Modern. Not only do they provide an awesome pie but at a great value. Im not expecting that in Southbury but I would like something that keeps me from driving to New Haven. I worked in NY and NJ and those people think they have good pizza. They are mistaken. There is no comparison to the 3 places in New Haven. Those establishments provide the best pies, period. But I must tell you that Dipalmas has really stepped up their game locally. They’ve listened to people like me and are providing some kick ass local pies. It’s the kind of change that you’d think they changed ownership. I think they just listened. If I can’t go to New Haven. I’m going to Dipalmas.

Our service was a little slow, but we could see that our server was very busy and she did her best to be attentive to us. Also, we were freezing because the air conditioning was blowing right on us. With that being said, the food was excellent! My cousin said she had the best eggplant rollatini that she’s ever had. Also, they were very accommodating to me as a vegetarian. The server knew that my pasta with broccoli rabe was made with chicken broth and had the chef make it with white wine instead. And it was delicious! My friend had the same thing with the chicken broth and agreed.

Great NY style pizza at this joint. I’m used to eating Greek style pizza because it seems to be more prevalent in this area, but when I want NY style pizza DiPalma’s is #1. Tasty sauce, very nice thin and chewy crust, and a good amount of cheese, the way a NY pizza should taste.

the worst service! ordered 4 pies, 1 salad and 2 sodas for 80 dollars. 2 pies showed up with a salad for 30 dollars plain no cheese or chicken or bread. extra charge for dressing! after calling had to reorder 2 pies and pay again! but they said they could give us 2 sodas?

This place should not be considered New York style pizza. I was craving a meatball sub. This restaurant advertises that their meatballs are homemade and they are completely frozen. Be sure to ask what ingredients are in their frozen foods if you have allergies. This place is also gross in the inside — I would not advise anyone going here to have a Saturday night out unless you enjoy the touch of sticky tables and drinking out of plastic soda cups.

Native New Yorker here, living in Southbury. I can tell you that you will not be disappointed with DiPalma’s pizza. I wish I could speak to more dishes, but I’m in love with their Italian Chicken pie, which is my standard order. I recently discovered that they’ll do bacon on it. O-M-G. Delicious! You know how some pies get all soggy when you order take-out? Not here. I don’t know what they’re doing, but it takes about 10 minutes to get home and the crust is still crispy, never too oily — just an amazing pie. When we eat in we usually get their large salad, which is always very good. The place feels like home. Service is UNBELIEVABLYCONSISTENTLYGENUINELYFRIENDLY. I just can’t say enough about a small local restaurant that goes out of their way to provide great service and really excellent pizza. Check them out — they do specials, they do actual dinners, they’ve got a small but tasty selection of beers and wine. I’m a huge fan. Check them out when you can — you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered delivery while traveling on business. Fantastic experience! ~ Girl that took my order was friendly and made sure the driver brought parm and red pepper as I requested. ~ Driver was five minutes early and very professional. ~ Thin crust buffalo chicken pizza was great. ~ Anti-pasta was huge and delicious. ~ Great house Italian dressing and free breadsticks. Ok. Back to my dinner!

We choose DiPalma’s every time! We love their italian chicken pizza. Their breadsticks are addicting. The salads are fresh are are usually made with romaine lettuce(my favorite). We’ve also tried their pasta dish(rigatoni with broccoli and chicken) — it was very good. They have table and booth seating for small or large parties. They offer beer and wine.

Went to DiPalma’s on 10⁄17. I had a chicken parm and my wife had a meatball parm. They were very good. I liked the sauce, it had a lot of cheese, and the rolls were very good. Customer service was good so I’m happy to give DiPalma’s 4 stars on this trip.

Quality of DiPalma’s pizza toppings has declined over the years. Example: The mushroom slices are now paper-thin. Too little sauce on the pizza. It’s as though they are trying to keep food costs down at the expense of quality. For an example of how pizza should look & taste, go across the street to Mia Sophia.
