Man this place has been a favorite of mine for a few years. I find it strange they are not busy all the time. Perhaps it is the location. The burgers are prepared fresh to order. They are soooo good. My favorite is mushroom Swiss with wimpy’s sauce. The bun is soft, but holds the juices and burger nicely. They are generous with the toppings, and the party is large and in charge. They are full of flavor and freshness. Even the fries are great Never being cold or soggy and always in abundance. The best part? Even with the numerous times I have been here they have never once messed up my order.

First impression, what’s with the rude girl at the counter, she looks miserable?! Krisitin was her name. They seemed short staffed and hurried for no reason. Food was good and hot, order came out correct. The bun could use some improvement (think Mugshots). Other than the sub par service, this place is ok. The staff needs to put a smile on their faces and realize they are working in an open kitchen!

Big, hot, juicy, good old fashioned burgers with just the right amount of grease. Oh, and twice as many topping options as you would expect. No weird «specialty» burgers that make you wonder who the heck thought that was a good idea. There is nothing fancy about this place — the food or the interior. The burgers are not what I would call seasoned either. Just the good taste of the meat & toppings. The sweet potato fries are really good.
My only «beef» is the price. A double burger, regular drink, & sweet potato fries cost me $ 12.62. The best burger I ever ate was a full gourmet type burger, drink, & regular fries was just under $ 10. Even though the food hits the spot, the price needs to come down for me to be a regular.

Do not go to this place if you are trying to grab something fast and catch a flight. I ordered french fries thinking it would be quick and I could quickly make it to my flight. The place was empty and it took 12 minutes to serve fries. They had plenty of people behind the counter but only one of them appeared to be working.

I have never had a bad burger from Wimpy’s…the grill is cured perfectly and the fries are always fresh! It’s by far the best burger for the value, and the service is always on point! I’ve seen a review on Unilocal talking about the burgers being dry… I don’t know about that, I’ve eaten at Wimpy’s over ten times in the past three or four years and have NEVER even come close to a dried out burger, I don’t know if it’s possible unless maybe they asked for an overly done burger!

I would really like to give this place no stars but at least the service came with a smile. The cheeseburger was so over cooked and dry it was not edible. I took two bites and threw it away. The taste was just very unpleasant. I will not go back.

Good local burger joint with lots of topping options including pineapple! They also have hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, sweet potato fries, fried pickles, etc. It’s somewhat reminiscent of Five Guys.

Burgers were over cooked and dry. Absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. I ordered my burger with «everything». Only came with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mustard and ketchup. The pineapples, grilled onions, jalapeños and relish were absent. Far better options in Desoto county.

There is nothing «wimpy» about their burgers… that is because they are delicious! Like another Unilocaler has said, they have plenty of options when it comes to toppings for your burger and great onion rings! My only complaint is that I want more fries for what I paid for.

The best burgers! Huge selection of toppings including different cheeses. Same prices that you pay at Wendy’s & Sonic, but the burgers are majorly better! All of the sides are excellent especially the sweet potato fries!

My only mention would be that it’s ready, be ready to wait a bit. Friday nights are quite popular and it can take a bit to get your food.

Ate there on the way to the Hank, Jr. concert. Had the senior citizens/​kids menu item shown in the photo. Burger was well prepared and perfectly seasoned. Wide choice of toppings. Get the sweet potato fries. Good value for the money.
