This hotel is very close to the airport and Graceland(if that’s your thing). I stayed here with my girlfriend over a weekend. The hotel is showing it’s age. The room we chose was the 1 King Studio. Again, the room was dated. This would have been a «luxury» room maybe 10 – 15 years ago. The vanity light in the bathroom/microwave/fridge area flickered a lot. This was a small nuisance when trying to shave. I know that Fairfield is on the low end of the Marriott chain but I think Marriott could afford to update their properties after maybe a decade, even if it is their«cheap» hotels. The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The breakfast was nice. It was a typical buffet style breakfast with sausage, powdered eggs, waffles, etc. Overall, not a bad place to stay if you are visiting Memphis and don’t want to shell out the downtown rates.

We drove by the area and needed a room to rest for the night. We called ahead and asked for a room with two queen beds. The clerk indicated over the phone that they do have rooms available and will honor the coupon we found online. When we got there an hour later, we asked to see the room with queen beds. He showed us a room with double beds. Then we were told they do not have rooms for queen beds and will only honor the coupon if we print it out. He would not take the coupon even after we showed him the coupon via iPhone. Where do we find a printer since we’ve been on the road for 6+ hours? It is just ridiculous. We left and stayed at the hotel next door with queen beds for the same price the clerk offered no coupon rate.

Good clean hotel for business travel. Ideally located away from downtown Memphis so that one can avoid traffic getting to and from the airport. Plenty of eating/shopping choices close by.

This hotel was a late night stop for some rest. It was clean and the front desk was fast and nice. It does not have a indoor pool but they will let you go to the courtyard next door and use that one.

My hubby and I stayed here this past weekend. We went to a concert in Southaven and went to Graceland in Memphis, so this was a central location for us. Check in was a breeze, room appeared neat and clean. We went out for dinner(those Unilocal!to follow) and came back with our leftovers and put them in the fridge. The next morning, we realized, the fridge doesn’t work. Oops. Then as we’re about to leave for checkout, hubby comes out of the bathroom with a wad of toilet paper… to kill a roach crawling up the wall. I advised the front desk of this and the fridge issue when we were checking out. The were on top of the fridge, letting maintenance know right about, but the roach they really couldn’t do anything about, but said«they’d take care of it.» All in all, it wasn’t a BAD stay by any means, but once I see a roach, that’s the end of it for me!
