Just tried this place for takeout for the first time. Fabulous! Burgers, fries, onion rings, and soup were great. Loved the ambiance of the place reminiscent of Arnold’s from Happy Days. We will be back, and I recommend that everyone who likes burgers and fries give this place a try. It’s delicious!

Absolutely delicious! Ice cream, shakes, burgers, and dogs have been top notch every visit. Highly reccomend to anyone unfamiliar with classic American fare.

I’m not sure why this has such a low review. I’ve been here quite a number of times this month and I love it. If you want classic american fare(burgers, dogs, sandwiches) this place is it. The only criticism is that sometimes it can take a while but once the food is there it’s worth it. Everything is fresh. Highly recommend the apple pie shake. Delicious. I will absolutely be back and I hope they can stay here because the location isn’t ideal.

Great choices in burgers. Food is hot and fresh. There is a short wait after ordering, and we usually play the 80’s video games(they cost a quarter, but pretty reasonable). Shakes are also very good.

Clean place, food was good and the wait time for food that is cooked to order was not bad at all… I’m a truck driver and happened to be in the neighborhood and saw this place and I will definitely return if in the neighborhood again, friendly people and good food what more can you ask for

Dont know why everyone gives this place such a bad rating. I was in the area yesterday, so I decided to stop by to get some lunch. Found that was a coupon for 15% eat in only on purchase. At arrived I was pleasley surprised by the size and how clean it was. I was welcomed by a very nice lady that took my order. I was ask what I would like to order and what would like to drink. At the time I was not really in the mood for any soda, iced tea or juice. And Hears something I don’t see alot. I was given a cup and lady said if you like water it’s over there. Usally you always have to ask for a cup. So not too ask and given one. That was nice. On to food. I got the fire Cracker burger. With O’Rings. Both were delicious. The burger was done just how I like it, on a fresh just alittle Toasted roll. With fresh lettuce and fresh tomato. And onion rings are just so perfect just really crispy just how I like them. There really is so much to choose from on the menu. Which is that for your good thing. I look forward to coming back here in the near future to try something else, I was totally happy with the service/the food and the atmosphere.

Awesome. Delicious. Don’t listen to the foodie snobs. This place is great for Burgers, Dogs, Grilled cheeses, milk shakes, tots with cheese… We order lunch from here quite often. It’s worth checking out.

Excellent food! We had burgers, milkshakes and fries. All tasted great! The Fatty grilled cheese burger was so good I will travel back there again. Service was fast. Place was empty on a Sat night Wichita is a shame because the food was so good. Hope this place is around for a while because we will be back.

it was our first time there and the people and service was great but I was surprised at dinner time how empty the place was. Burger, salad, and chili was good.

My husband and I have been there several times. We always had a decent meal. Agree it’s nothing special! Good milkshakes, though! Now for my next issue, my daughter was there tonight for milkshakes. My grand-daughter has a severe nut allergy and they were not very accommodating. They said they could rinse out the blender. Sorry, certainly not good enough! There are a lot of people out there today with severe allergies! They should get another blender and designate it to be «Nut Free»!

This place was a bit of a let down. First of all, I could have given this place 3 or 4 stars if either the portions changed or the prices did, because The taste of the food was actually quite good and the service wasn’t half bad. I went there tonight with my boyfriend and I ordered the«flip signature burger» and he ordered the«Texas big burger». His tasted very good, but the patty itself was no bigger than a McDonald’s burger. Mine was embarrassingly bad. The burger was super thin as was the ONE slab of ribeye steak slapped on top with some peppers. I can’t believe this was considered their«signature» burger. It was so boring and flavorless and it was a whopping $ 9.95. Each fountain soda was $ 2.25, a complete rip off considering how cheap fountain soda actually is for a restaurant to serve. Also, the burgers aren’t served in plates or baskets, but simply in a piece of wax paper more suitable for a take out order. We heard from someone that the milkshakes here were no doubt the only thing they do right, and I wouldn’t say the mint chocolate chip we got for dessert was disappointing, but it was nothing special. It tasted like something any other burger place could make. The atmosphere here was… confusing. It’s a very big open room with retro style couches, booths, black tables and chairs, and colorful painted walls and one TV. The kitchen was expansive with 3 grills and 4 fryers!(all very very clean and new, obvious that they honestly don’t get the use and abuse a busy grill should get!!) The place seemed quiet and çempty, with only a couple other customers. The overall theme seemed to be a half-assed attempt to copy a 1950’s style milkshake joint, but falls drastically short. Also, what the hell is with the arcade games scattered randomly around the dining room?! I found them childish, tacky, and distracting. I may return only to try another menu item, but I doubt it.

Brought my family in for a meal. I was looking forward to trying this place and I wasn’t disappointed. All around from the great snap of the hot dogs to the extra crisp grilled cheese sandwich, it was great. The milkshakes are delicious also. I’ll definitely turn this into a reoccurring day out for the family.

I have to agree with other posters here. This place is nothing special. They are trying to be a gourmet grilled cheese, gourmet hot dog and gourmet burger place and they really fall short. I went in tonight with my wife and adult daughter almost $ 45 later, we were all seriously disappointed. We really felt like we did not get our money’s worth. The burgers were $ 6.50 each and the patties were equivalent in size to the regular cheeseburger at McDonalds. The buns were nothing special… they would be the cheap ones in the bread aisle in the supermarket across the street. I had a Chicago Frank. While the hot dog was tasty, there was nothing about it that set it apart from other hot dogs. My wife had a «Chili Side» and was not pleased. On the plus side, service was delivered with a smile. My hot dog was cold at first, I brought it to their attention and they brought me another fairly quickly with an apology. I am a big supporter of local small businesses and try to patronize them whenever possible so it pains me to suggest that people pass on this one.

I was in Philadelphia visiting family and I came across Flip –n-Shakes. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the food, service, cleanliness, and overall set up of this place. When i arrived, the smell of those burgers hooked me right away. As i walked up to give my order, the young girl at the register was very polite and welcoming. After a very short wait(the place was busy), i received my shake and burger and found a seat to enjoy it. The burger was AWESOME!!! You can tell from the first bite that they use high quality meats, and the shake went right along with the burger. The table was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was outstanding. I’m not leaving for 3 more days, and will be bringing my family back for sure before I go. This place is a MUST go!

Went there for Dinner last night. Burgers were small, all bun and the service was unprofessional. That is what happens when you have young kids running the restaurant, they don’t know what they r doing. I would rather go to FIVEGUYS. Best of luck.

Their burgers and fries are pretty good. I was very pleased with the variety of things to choose from. Hope to go back there for dessert soon. Unfortunately they are extremely slow, so i was thankful that i didn’t have my two year old with me. They did just open so hopefully they’ll be able to work out the kinks and put food out faster.

Decent burgers and we liked the mixed fries option. A little pricey but we’ll be back.

Extremely disappointing experience here last weekend – attributable to sheer incompetence rather than opening week wobbles – is likely to discourage future visits. Here’s what happened: I stopped for two malted shakes to take away. Heartened was I to read that Bucks’ County’s own Goodnoe’s ice cream would be used, but my joy was quickly squelched. Even though there were as many as seven(7) people behind the counter, the restaurant was perhaps 25% full and there was no queue, I waited 25 minutes for my two malteds. Yes, 25 very long minutes(during which I could have and should have just gone to Sonic). I watched the soda jerk move slower than molasses to retrieve ice cream supplies from the back of the store. He also was incapable of multitasking: Instead of filling the metal shake cups and putting them on the spindle drink machine before replacing an empty ice cream tub with a full one, he focused solely on the ice cream tub. To add insult to injury he made the malteds consecutively instead of concurrently notwithstanding the fact that he had the spindle capacity to make nine or ten shakes at once. By the time the second shake was completed(between shakes, the soda jerk replaced another ice cream tub and assembled a salad for a customer who had entered 10 minutes after me(«Shake Interregnum») the first shake had melted into milk. During the Shake Interregnum, I asked the cashier for a time estimate for the completion of my order. She dismissively replied that orders are filled in order, which was demonstrably untrue. We had high hopes that this restaurant space, which had been vacant for over a year, would become home to a sensational neighborhood eatery. Regrettably, my experience is not a harbinger of wonderful things to come. P. S. They used liquid malt, which is not the real deal. Carnation’s malt powder is legit and makes a far superior end-product. Just sayin’.
