I really do like this place because food quality is great. Today I left with a bad taste in my mouth. We ordered at latest 1215. Guy next to us gets to his table at 1220. Gets his food 10 mins later. 1245 comes and my friends food and I still not there. I let the server know and the first thing she asked was if we ordered already. Only ordered pad Thai and pad see eu. It wasn’t a well done steak. I came up to the register and another server was arguing with me about when I ordered instead of just apologizing for the 40 min wait. Gave me so much attitude. Couldn’t believe it because they have always been nice. Also not the first time food took forever but I wasn’t given the attitude given to me this time around.

A favorite date night spot for me and my Hubz. All the dishes we’ve ordered are delicious; flavorfull and better than most Thai places we’ve dined at. Customer service is very good, welcoming atmosphere and attentive! Good, close parking, free after 6pm.

Overrated Thai food because it’s better than Thai Satay down the street but not 4 or 5 star worthy. The duck fried rice was full of grease and fat and the Thai iced tea was very stale tasting. There’s a lot of parking nearby, and they do deliver, but this is not the best Thai restaurant in SSF or in the Bay Area for that matter. The fried rice had no flavor except for grease, oil, and a lot of soy sauce trying to mask the old tomatoes and undercooked onions. I wanted to give this place 2 stars, but this is a mom and pop business so I will give them the benefit of a doubt.

Delicious, delicious. Have stopped by this place a couple of times and am impressed. They are consistent in quality of food, clean and pretty much always packed. Love the flavor they put on their food. The fried rice is over the top. I could probably eat a bucket of it in one sitting. The place is always clean which is impressive since so many people are filing through the doors. And yes this place is always packed but they are able to keep the consistency of the food which is awesome and they are able to keep people moving in and out Good go to Thai place for me.

I am not Thai, but I make better Pad Thai then this place. Noodles came out overcooked, chopped up in many pieces, not good sign for a Thai Restaurant. Did them a favor, did not leave a negative review. Come a few weeks later, and I ordered a large order on Eat24, nixing the Pad Thai. To make a long story short, the restaurant messed up on an addition of a few items. Instead of delivering or canceling an additional order, the manager gave me the run around, threatening that I can never order again if I cancel an order, even though it is their fault. g Hope the negative reviews will steer this restaurant in a better direction.

Hey, this place is a real sleeper! Small restaurant but pretty food at reasonable prices. Came here between hours but I would imagine it can get crowded and noisy very easily. It was a pleasant surprise to find this place(even before I «Yelped it»)

Curry Soup is da bomb Probably the best Thai restaurant in South City. Luckily it’s down the street from my home. Affordable, filling, and satisfying. Service was great, waiter was really polite and attentive.

Ordered the Pad Thai. The noodles are a bit overcooked and were chopped into short pieces(so no long noodles). The flavor was not very diverse, just tasted like a salty dish with spicy after taste. Even though i ordered it not spicy.

So I have been on the hunt for a solid Thai place near SFO. The food has a TON of potential; some are delicious as is but others just need a couple tweaks. If they did, I could absolutely see this place being truly 4 stars. Appetizer/Drinks: — Angel wings. Delicious. Tender meat, perfectly crisp breading, tangy sauce with a kick. — Papaya salad topped with shrimp(2 little guys on top). This could be pretty delicious if it was slightly less sweet and maybe added some lime juice. — Thai tea. No complaints. Good, strong flavor. — Lychee ice tea. This was so refreshing! Comes in a tall glass with two whole lychee fruits in it. I expected a syrupy lychee flavoring which usually means extra sweet. This tea had a little sweetness but not overpowering. Was perfect. Main course: — Roasted duck curry(chef specialty). Comes with rice(so rare!); rice was a teensy bit undercooked but hey it was free. Good cuts of duck meat and plentiful. Pineapple pieces, bamboo shoots, the whole shebang. Curry sauce(the most important part IMO) however was not spectacular. It lacked the strong curry & coconut flavors that I expect in Thai curries. I think they need to up the curry paste quantity and the concentration of coconut milk(it’s a little watered down) or maybe use a different brand of coconut milk. — Chicken pad kee mao. This could SOEASILY be awesome! As is, it’s a little bland and does not have any heat… as in ZERO heat. Pad kee mao should be HOT, like hard to eat continuously without stopping to sip on my drink but so good that I can’t stop. We however fixed it up a bit by requesting a little side of fish sauce and the spices. We mixed in the fish sauce and some of the dry chili and it tasted just right!!! With these additions, totally yes! Easy fix! Other: — Definitely a lunch rush. Would recommend showing up a couple minutes before noon on workdays. — With the rush, service is a tiny slow. It took some time to get the waitress’ attention to take orders, had to remind them to bring utensils, serving spoons, etc. Understandable as it is busy but they should probably staff up more appropriately if they can’t handle.

I don’t really like thai food. But on the other hand, my dad loves thai food on his muhf! ckn life. He was like«do you want thai food?» «No thanks dad.» «Cmon, it’s hella gooooood.» My dad does not say«hella» so it must have been really good for him to want to convince me to go. When we arrived we were greeted at the door and immediately asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered a pad thai and angel wings. My looooortttt! I thought I didn’t like thai food until I had Siam Spoon. Their pad thai is soaked with flavor and the wings have the perfect crisp and sweet and sour saucin. The pad thai is one of a kind for me since it isn’t a flat noodle, but now that I have tried it I thoroughly enjoy it better than flat noodle. I’ve also ordered other items off the menu and everything is beyond A+! Anything you order there will be good!

Wow. I was at work and a couple of my coworkers and I were starving so we decided to order something for delivery. Thai food won the vote. And I’m so glad it did! I ordered the crab cakes, shrimp pad Thai and Thai iced tea. The food was still hot and so delicious! One of my coworkers did mention that her food was tooooo spicy… she ordered it medium(mine was perfect since I ordered not spicy, lol) This could be because she’s too sensitive though, but that’s really the only negative I heard. And she still ate through the spicyness, so the taste overpowered that! Will definitely order again! I recommend this place if you’re looking for tasty Thai food!

Why the low rating, it’s most likely that if you come into a place told to have a seat, handed menus in like the blink of an eye, you would think they would also take your order. I thought they where just giving us time to look over the menu. No I was mistaken. Out of the three people at the front, only looked like one person was serving. Me and the wife had to wait 15 to 20 minutes to have our order taken, food was better than average. Plenty of food, tables are so close together that when you get up you have to move your table to get out. or have your butt on someones face. Spare ribs could have been more tender but tasted well.

My Thai wife(as in straight out of the old country) loves this place and I like supporting family businesses. Most dishes are under $ 10 with very good sized portions. My wife enjoyed the Pad Thai a great deal. I’ve so far only had the Pad Kee Mao and the Pad See Ewe — both were top notch. This place WILL make your Thai food authentically Thai-spicy if you ask them(unlike some places). This place is closed at more times than this Unilocal page implies. I have been here on a Sunday in the early evening and it was still closed. It might be seasonal because of the holidays, but I would call before coming out here to be sure.

I have not actually visited Siam Spoon, but they’ve been one of my go-to’s on Eat24 and have been very consistent with their food. I love their simplified menu which is good enough to satisfy my Thai food cravings and the prices are very reasonable. My must order from here is definitely their Pad See-U. They make it pretty good and I could really order it with nothing else and be satisfied. You can add different kinds of meats and seafood to it. The chicken is good enough for me, but sometimes I like to splurge and have it with beef and shrimp. Pad See-U with chicken(to-go) – Pad See-U with beef and shrimp(to-go) – For appetizers, I’ve tried their Chicken Satay and Angel Wings. Both are pretty decent for appetizers and both are your standard Chicken Satay and Wings. Chicken Satay(to-go) – Angel Wings(to-go) – I’ve tried a few of their specialties: Khao Pad Fried Chicken(to-go) – This is pretty much chicken katsu over rice. It’s a pretty satisfying rice plate because they give you a good amount of katsu. Spaghetti with Siam Spoon Sausage(Chef Specialty)(to-go) – I like this spaghetti! It’s spicy and the sausage gives it some good heat as well. I’d order this again! Roasted Duck Curry(to-go) – This really surprised me! They give a good amount of duck and it’s simmered pretty well in their green curry sauce. I had my mild, but next time I might want to add some spice to it to give it more kick. As you can see, I’m pretty satisfied with what I’ve had from Siam Spoon. I definitely commend them with their delivery service because they’ve always met or arrived earlier than their expected delivery time. Also for a single diner like me, I love how their delivery minimum charge is $ 15 so I don’t have to order a lot of food. If their food is this good when ordering to-go, I can only imagine their food being even better at the restaurant which I definitely hope to visit someday.

I ordered from them on Eat24, they were a little earlier than the delivery time on the app noted. The reviews raving about the Angel Wings being great are true. The chicken was so soft, the flavor was amazing. I had the pumpkin curry which was really good(less thick/coconut milk based than I’m used to though). But holy effin cannoli maybe I’m a newb when it comes to Thai food but when you choose to have your dish spicy they will not mess around. My face is literally sweating. I will probably go with a mild curry for myself next time. Otherwise everything had really great flavor and this will be my go to Thai spot in the area.

Five stars for: 1. They have a delivery person who delivers on rollerblades. IN2015THEYDELIVERONROLLERBLADES. Rad! 2. Chicken fried rice that wasn’t dry. 3. Fried chicken fried rice that was delicious and wasn’t dry. 4. Super friendly service! It’s obvious there is a lot of love put into their food. 5. Not overly huge amounts of food.

Yummiest Thai food near work! This place beats the place on Grand Ave on both service and menu items. Siam spoon can be pricier but it tastes a lot better. I normally start off with an appetizer which my go-to are the shrimp rolls. Then for the main course I get the Duck Khao Pad which I believe is the duck fried rice. Very good portions and always tasty. I’ve also tried their beef ball with flat noodle soup but it wasn’t as flavorful as other beef noodle soups I’ve had. This papusas were alright, Ive come to realize papusas may not be my thing. The bill for two people plus the shrimp roll appetizer comes out to about $ 32. Overall, I love Siam Spoon and next time I might utilize their Eat24 option since it can get really busy! Will be back :)

I had a pretty big craving for Thai for a while & so glad that I got to fulfill that craving while hitting up Siam Spoon for dinner with boyfriend some nights ago. So this place is pretty small, but at the time we were there — only one other table so it wasn’t a busy night. So glad this place is nearby. It can be walking distance, but we still drove. Lol lazy us. XD We had the Pad See Ew, Angel Wings, & Lychee Iced Tea. Everything was pretty yummy. Service was pretty fast & friendly. I would definitely go back to this place again whenever I’m craving Thai again. :)
