Great artisan sandwiches. I used to come here weekly! I only wish I was still nearby…

Okay, so my co-workers and I have been coming here for years, and truthfully, I wasn’t that impressed. I felt the owner was kinda rude whenever we ordered over the phone and little things like he wouldn’t heat up a cold sandwich for me, one time kinda turned me off. So, early one Wednesday morning, I realized that we were having a breakfast meeting — But I forgot to order breakfast!!! I called Baysider at about 7:30am in a panic and asked if they could make 30 breakfast burritos by 8:30am. The man who answered the phone, said sure. Again, I was a little wary. I arrived at Baysider and ran in,(literally). One of the owners, I want to say his name is Francisco had ALL of my burritos ready, and waiting in warming pans. Not only that — he had cut each of them in half, so I didn’t have to do it! Annnnnnd, he brought them to my car for me!!! I brought them to my office and everyone was losing their sh*t over how delicious they were! I can’t tell you how many times, including this morning, that my employees asked me for MOREBURRITOS!!! I think it’s the buttery hashbrowns they put inside! mmmmm! Sooooo good! Thank you Baysider for saving my crazy morning!!! I’ll see you in about 10 minutes for lunch! :)

The turkey and cranberry sandwich is really cool here. I like how fresh and tasty the bread is . That’s what really stood out a lot. The environment is pretty quite. Its a good place to read the paper and enjoy a meal . Its also a good place to get the food and go. They make your meal very fast yet with quality and they are very attentive and listen to your needs. The coffee is pretty decent. They have energy drinks too. There’s plenty of parking out front. I even drove around just so I can pick that lucky one. They all wore gloves and aprons as they made my sandwich which made me feel very comfortable. The smell once you walk in is also very nice.

I always do the salad bar. Good for a healthy or fatty meal whenever you’re on the go. Great lunch spot with a good amount of places to sit if you want to dine in

I stopped in after a flight into SFO. I was wanting breakfast, but didn’t want to eat at a run-of-the-mill joint in the airport. This was a good option, but not overwhelming. I just had two eggs and hash browns. Everything was done well, but the place lacked ambience. It’s just kind of an industrial park joint that seems to be really focused on their catering as most of the employees there were working on some pretty big projects in the kitchen. Free WiFi, though … that’s a plus.

Maybe I came on the wrong day or at the wrong time or ordered the wrong things or too many items, but I found the staff to be rude. Ordered three sandwiches, and it was like pulling teeth. One of the sandwiches was served with ripped bread, as if a rat had gnawed in if beforehand to ensure high quality. I then found out at the register that it was not the sandwich I ordered, so they reluctantly remade it, as if this was my fault. No, I’m not a regular, and probably wouldn’t eat here again.

Good place. 7 dollars for a good sandwich, super cheap. Would recommend it if you work in the area and need a quick bite. If you are a foodie then don’t go to this place. I personally hate subway, this place is far better but nothing gourmet

Can’t go wrong with a hot pastrami on Dutch crunch, fast service, great prices. I always try to get there before 12 to avoid the rush.

I’ve been a couple of times and was not that impressed. I love sandwiches– I love making them for myself and for other people, I love eating them, I love everything about them. What I don’t like is when people get lazy when making my sandwich especially when I’m paying about $ 9 per sandwich. I hate a sloppy sandwich and I especially hate it when my sandwich has shredded lettuce and not fresh ingredients. This place had the attributes which I dislike– shredded lettuce, old tomatoes, old onions old bread and sloppy to boot. The place across the street is a much better sandwich and friendlier people.

You need great food and fast? Baysider Café is your go-to. Z and Fadi offer superior customer service and you can tell they really care about the way their business is run. These guys will bend over backwards for special requests and always go above and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of. Having the pleasure of working with both Z and Fadi from a vendor standpoint, they really make it easy to provide my clients with a variety of cold and hot food options – think bomb breakfast sammies, convenient boxed lunches, and a bunch of different sandwiches known for their fresh ingredients. As a South City native, I know that the location of this spot is ideal so if you work in the indsutrial part of town(ie: all you Genentech-ers, Amgen-ers, Aerotek-ers and the like) make it a point to visit Baysider Café on your next lunch break! You won’t be dissappointed!

This is by far one of the best places to go to for food in the area. The customer service is fast and friendly. Baysider Café serves both hot breakfast and lunch. The lunch menu changes daily. They’re more well known for their different types of sandwiches with fresh ingredients. There’s usually a line during the lunch hour but the wait isn’t long. Another great thing they have is a fully stocked salad bar where you can customize your own salads. There’s a lot a variety here. Plenty of seating to enjoy your food there or you can just grab it a go. The staff keeps facility really clean, especially the food areas. I come here two or three times a week. Convenient and delicious! I highly recommend!

Stop calling me «honey». Yes your food is not bad. I was here at least 20 times — because the lunch spots around the area is very limited —(and now I regret I should have spent all my time here in Luigi across the street instead). Now I think it’s time to an end. At first I was attracted by its” the one” special sandwich and its stamp card. I usually came for a huge salad or a lunch combo(a specialty sandwich plus a small soup/chips plus a fountain drink). You always never have unsweetened tea and I hate soda — so I never get my fountain drink and pay the exact same price — it’s a personal choice based on the limited option(not that I want to). The regular sandwich is really just mediocre, the chicken salad sandwich I had one made me think I ate something weird.(The BLT wrap is good as other Unilocalers mentioned, though) The specialty sandwiches are good —(and more pricey too, of course). And the overall price for the food here is not cheap, anyway. I guess it’s not THAT bad till I realized I have been charged for«heating up the wrap”/“toasting the roll». Who charge the sandwich extra for heating up the wrap/toast the bread for lunch hours??? The owner’s explanation is «for the environment», what a joke. Besides, be careful when using your stamp card for that ONE free item — it doesn’t apply to lunch combo even it’s less than $ 9 — yes, the maximum you can redeem is $ 9 for a salad plate or a sandwich, not a lunch combo. But who would order a salad THAT big other than me(yes, I eat too much salad, I admit), while all the sandwich are less than $ 8? This doesn’t make sense. Again, stop calling me honey, I don’t even know you. And I don’t understand the logic of the business running here — please learn something from your across-the-street neighbor, which I will spend more time there from now on. Other than that, people who work here and make food for you are very nice. But no, I’m not coming back.

Great breakfast, prices are ok, good atmosphere highly recommend to others that want a good place to eat. Not too far from sf Bay Area biotech companies, like Genentech, Amgen, And the like. Nice view of San Bruno mountains and on a clear day it’s nice to eat and look outside and see nice scenery.

Nice little salad bar — yet a bit pricey. But I’m glad I found. I“ve been missing salads!!! Everyone was polite and it was easy in and easy out! I was able to stop a Costco to get gas!

My favorite café in all of SSF. The best lunch spot! They have a website, they deliver if you order before 10am, they have a grill, it’s right down the street from work, sandwiches are made by skilled hands. More than enough reasons to check this gem of a place out.

If you work near this gem, you need to check it out. The sandwiches are phenomenal aka BOMB! Hot food too? What? Amazing. I am a single guy and it is like a home cooked meal, for lunch. BOOM! I had the Veggie«ONE» and I am not a vegetarian and it was amazing. I LOVE fresh mozzarella. Will be coming back for more.
