Very simple to review. They have everything that you need for shoe repair. Huge well stocked warehouse and a helpful staff. They are great if you are building costumes for film and theater. They have so much. I use them for all my costume boot and shoe needs. Not much more to say. they are almost perfect.

O Baltor & Sons is one of the rare gems of the brick and mortar variety. Nearly anything you could want in terms of the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of shoes is here. Nails, pegs, awls, soles, leather — you name it, they have it. They have been in operations for many decades, and many of their suppliers have also been in business for over a hundred years(Barnsley, C.S. Osborne, etc.). This is the real deal for all shoemaking or repair work. Definitely ask for what you’re looking for, but I do suggest also browsing the aisles — you might find things you never realized you needed.

Baltor O & Sons is a warehouse full of shoemaking supplies, tools, and leather. It’s one of the few shoemaking supply shops in the Bay Area, and they will sell to non-professionals as long as you know a little about what you want and don’t mind browsing rows and rows of unmarked bins of tools. They are oldschool just like the industry, in a good way. Their hours are a bit rough if you work during the day, Monday — Thursday is something like 9am(?) — 3pm, and friday 7am — 11am. No weekends.
