Nice selection of food. Penalty of wine! Small selection of beers. Service was good. Seating is very, very limited!

What a great place!!! The new owners are wonderful. South Riding is so fortunate to have this jewel of a venue! They have beer & wine tastings, live music, events featuring visiting vineyards, a wonderful selection of wines, beer and merchandise in a super cozy setting. And the staff is so helpful & friendly.

I would really give WineStyles 3.5 Stars. It’s a fun place with a lot of potential… nice menu of wines and small bites. Sometimes, it can take awhile for servers to take orders and I would recommend bringing cash to pay because their cash register does not always play nice with credit cards… super slow, or double charges, etc.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a wine bar in this area, and of course we hopped right in after dinner. At first it was a little awkward because we weren’t greeted by anyone, although several servers looked at us. We found ourselves comfy couch seating (which was awesome) and were served a few minutes later. They also had games you could play and that was a lot of fun (can’t beat me in UNO!). I had a glass of chianti off of the wines-​by-​the-​glass menu, which was okay. The merlot though, was extremely smooth and perfect. The wine pours were very generous as well, and my boyfriend and I had fun relaxing and filling ourselves with wine.
I love the fact that we don’t have to travel too far from Chantilly for a nice wine bar. Will be back!

I would be remiss if I did not update my review of this wonderful neighborhood gem. The new owners, Sandy and Mike, have done a tremendous job of getting the shelves stocked with some really great wines and bringing life back into this place. Come in on a Friday night and you will struggle to find a seat, but you will enjoy a lively atmosphere with great hosts, friendly patrons and live music.
New to Wine Styles, if you have not been in a while — beer taps! Also new to Wine Styles — no corkage fee to wine club members if you decide to enjoy a bottle in the store! We have been wine club members since 2012 when we moved to South Riding and have rarely been disappointed with one of the selections. With the larger selection of wines available on the shelves, we find our selves stopping in more than we should.
Food options have expanded a bit and let me just say the chicken salad is delicious. I love the addition of the charcuterie plates too. Everything is always fresh.
If you are looking for a casual setting to hang with a few friends, they have a corner with couches near the front window where the tasting bar used to be. Wine tastings and beer tastings are still free to members.
Special events have included wine tastings with small snacks (Nickel and Nickel, Grgich Hills and Mondavi to mention a few), a wine dinner with Ciro’s in Stone Ridge as well as parties for Halloween and New Year’s Eve.
Many of the staff members have worked at Wine Styles so long they have become good friends. Newer staff members are equally friendly and welcoming. Everyone is knowledgeable and does their best to ensure you have a great experience whether just purchasing a bottle to take home or enjoying some time relaxing in the store.
Do yourself a favor and support our local South Riding Wine Styles. It’s nice to have a place like this close to home. If you haven’t been for a while, give it another chance. You won’t be disappointed!

My friends and I enjoy going to WineStyles every now and then during the weekend when we don’t feel like traveling too far from the Chantilly area.
They have a large wine selection (smaller beer selection and usually 3 beers on tap). Bottle service is very inexpensive compared to other restaurant and bars! The atmosphere is pretty fun, they have wine tastings with wine selections changing often. They usually have music/​live singer on the weekends as well.
The staff is friendly and attentive. They have great small appetizer plates here (nothing dinner size), everything I’ve tried is good. I like the option to pick three dips with French bread or pita bread. :)
I really like their wine membership! I think it’s a great deal. If you sign up, you pay the monthly fee and you pick up two bottles of red or white, or one bottle of each red and white. Picking up is a simple process.
They also recently installed a cell phone charging station! Woo hoo!
I would definitely recommend Wine Styles of you are looking for a low key relaxing evening out (maybe after dinner).
The only thing I though was odd about this place was how to tip the Sommeliers/​Servers. I guess their POS systems don’t allow you to tip after they swipe your card. So you have to let them know how much you want to tip BEFORE the swipe. I just bring cash their now for the tip, so I don’t have to deal with that.

Love going here for happy hour or just got pick up a bottle of wine for me or as a gift.

Definitely love the laid back and casual atmosphere, this is a great neighborhood hangout with just the right amount of cool and sophisticated. The owner and even the patrons are very welcoming and you instantly feel comfortable and at ease. There is ample seating whether you want to eat it drink or just listen to the perfect pitched guy in the guitar. It’s the first time jn a long time that the volume of the music is just right for listening but also holding a conversation without yelling or going hoarse.
You can learn a lot about wines here too, not just Virginia wines, but the international ones too that occupy the cubbies along each wall from either the wine pourer or the owner himself. You can always test me too if you happen to be there when I am! lol and don’t worry, for you none wine drinkers, there is also a nice lil section of craft brews on the back wall, everyone is a winner here!
I can’t comment in the food yet, but I look forward to coming for another tasting but this time with the plan in mind to order something off the menu and a bottle of vino to accompany it. Trying to the food could easily bump this place to a 5 star and make me a regular customer.

I’ve been a wine club member here for a few years. A reasonably priced club with a lot of selection. I like that I can select «red» only. I’ve received some good quality wines and enough diversity to explore and discover new varieties and regions. For the most part, I walk in the store to pick up my wine and then get out of dodge. It’s normally pretty quick as the store is never too crowded. I have, on occasion, been through there during one of their tastings with live music. Seems like a good place to start off a date and not have to drive out to wine country.
They also carry a great selection of bottled craft brew. I find the prices to be a bit high and so I only buy if there’s something there I’ve never had before. But it’s nice to have another local place with some variety that doesn’t require driving to Total Wine.
My only real criticism is they have a rewards program (that’s awesome!) but we didn’t know about it until we had so much credit that it will take forever to chip away at it. The person running the store one day (not the owner) mentioned that we had a ton of credit. Each visit, we’re allowed to spend up to $ 10 of credit. So if you have a few hundred in credit it’ll take a bunch of visits to get its value. I still give this place five stars because they reward long term customers with this program, I just wish I could use all the credit in one shot because «I’ve earned it!».

While passing by, one of my daughters became curious about all the colorful labels in the store windows — the store was nearly empty so we went inside and were greeted by the operator. I made clear we weren’t shopping but despite that the operator made my daughter feel special by taking her around and showing her a few things. Again — nothing major and we don’t purchase wine, but for those that do I’m sure you’d find the service here exceptional.

Wine Styles used to be a favorite of mine. Friends would meet there for a glass or bottle of wine and when they added food to the menu, even better. I was VERY disappointed to find that they are now charging a corkage fee to drink wine at their facility. Wine you buy from them. that day.that is just poor business. I doubt I will frequent Wine Styles anymore. When you are already spending $ 15-​$ 25 on a bottle of wine and most likely ordering food to sit and enjoy the evening, why would any anyone pay more money to have the bottle opened?
Once realizing they were going to charge us $ 6 additional to drink, we ended up not staying at Wine Styles and heading over to Ruby Tuesday’s for their happy hour… same shopping center and they did not charge us for anything other than our food and cocktails.

This is a wonderful little place to go. Debbie… what can I say? She is WONDERFUL. She catered a party at my house one night. I bought several bottles of wine for a wine tasking. My guest LOVED it! She educated them, etc… I am going to ask her to do it again it was such a hit.

I haven’t been in this place in over a year so when I walked in with a friend, I was pleasantly surprised to see they now offer food! This is perfect for wine tasting/​pairing. The staff is usually always friendly and helpful. It is located in a shopping center so you would never guess the selection of wine would be so decent. The bottles are slightly higher than other places but I have never tried a wine here that I didn’t like.

Love this place. Great location and a variety of reasonably priced wines. Knowledgable staff who always know what to recommend. The wine club is awesome too. Outdoor seating is perfect for this time of year. Get the dip trio to eat!

Love this place. It’s the closest thing to a bar with live music you’ll find out here in suburbia.

I can’t begin to say enough good things about this store and it’s owner Debbie. The wine is great and reasonably priced and if you sit down to enjoy a bottle you have to try the dip trio. The store has a great atmosphere and most Friday nights Debbie has the tasting with live music. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you live close by join the wine club. You get two bottles every month and it’s fun to compare with other members.

This place is a go-​to for picking up wine, and getting more info than normal on what you’re buying. The people who work there are always pleasant and full of suggestions depending on what you’re in the mood for and really know their stuff. I’ve also picked up quite a lot about wine just from talking with them. The store is organized by flavor profiles rather than specific types of wine (merlot section, riesling section, etc.). With each wine there is also a description of the flavors. My pallet is probably not sophisticated enough to pick up on all the flavors described, but when I’ve picked based on those descriptions, I’ve really enjoyed the results. They recently started a craft beer rack with some really good microbrews. I’m hoping they expand that selection. Prices of wines they carry range between $ 10 and $ 30 from what I’ve seen. I’ve never bought wine here that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy.

I was in search of a bottle of wine to bring to a friend’s house last night, and looked around this shopping center to find anything with the word «wine» in it. I had no idea that I would come across anything more than racks of wine and fluorescent lights, but I was so delighted to see this beautiful store.
We were greeted by a pleasant woman behind the counter. A friend of mine asked if they carried a certain kind of wine. She said that they don’t, but she made several suggestions, and we eventually decided on a bottle. I’m the furthest thing from a wine connoisseur, so I can’t even remember the name of the wine we bought.
If I lived in the area, this would be my go-​to spot for wine for several reasons:
— The woman was really kind and helpful, and showed no hint of snobbiness in the face of savages like us who knew nothing about wine. :)
— They have free wine tastings on Saturday afternoons, so I’d be able to get my learning on.
— They have lots of other little trinkets and goodies — wine accessories and also an interesting selection of organic olive oils (aka OOO — in your face, Rachel Ray).

Wine Styles is a great little wine store. I know it is part of a local chain, but I find the staff extremely friendly and helpful — a very mom & pop-​ish atmosphere. The staff is not snobbish, as has been my experience at some other wine shops. They are very tolerant of «dumb» questions. The wines might be a little more expensive than at the local GIANT or COSTCO, but they carry a more unusual selection of wines and they have the knowledge that I do not. They also have tastings and a wine club to which we belong. The wine club gives you 2 bottles per month and the occasional special event. Their recommendations are usually on the mark, although we have had one that was «not to our tastes».
The shop also has a good selection of wine related stuff, such as bottle openers, bottle holders, and decorations, as well as a selection of dips and sauces. I highly recommend trying this place out.
