My husband and I took Maura’s body rolling class last night on our short vacation to Portland. It was just what we needed after a long drive, and Maura’s supportive, intuitive guidance made us feel well cared for. Maura and I did our yoga teacher training together almost seven years ago, so I can attest to her passion for teaching, dedicated practice, and commitment to her students – aside from being a lovely person in general! The studio itself is quaint and light-filled, with the feeling of being near the beach. Everything is clean, organized and peaceful. I definitely recommend the studio as being a place where you know you’ll be in good hands and walk out feeling better than you did when you walked in!

A friend invited me to attend a body rolling class at Willard Beach Studio. Not knowing what that meant, I of course«Googled» it and thought it sounded intriguing… I now knew what to expect, or so I thought! I found Brenda to be extremely knowledgeable which I later found out was due to her training as a physical therapist. I had previously hurt my lower back carrying wood into my house and was still sore from that when I went to the class. By the time I left, my back felt amazing and I could not feel any pain or discomfort where my injury was. I was also pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere. Clean and softly lit, the space was warm and inviting. Brenda offered fresh body rolling accessories and varied levels of participation. I received personal attention when I needed to correct or improve a position and yet never felt on the spot or scrutinized. The other attendees were laid back and friendly, a bonus you get when you go to a small studio like this. The final touch of an essence oil which I applied to my palms and temples put me nearly into nirvana! I am definitely going back!
