Great restaurant here in Portland! I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years. Great service. Price is just like everywhere. Taste of food was fresh! Compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. But overall it was a great expierence.

I wish I lived closer so that I could go all the time! Beautifully and tastefully decorated, soft, unobtrusive music, and incredibly delicious food awaits you! My two friends and I met on a Sunday afternoon before seeing a play locally. Thai Taste wasn’t crowded, and we were served right away. Each of us(including one vegetarian) really enjoyed our meal. I had the ground chicken with herbs and fried egg, which was fragrant and savory. The server was friendly and responsive. I highly recommend it, and hope to return!

Very good food. The staff was fantastic and can I say complementary salads? What, I know so few extras a free these days. Two of us was only $ 20 and we left full.

Pleasantly surprised by the authentic Thai food on a trip to the light house. One of the best fried rice I had ! Green curry is very neat and yummy too !

Excellent service and tasty food! Had my graduation party there, and it was awesome. Pom, the owner and the rest of the staff are super friendly. My guests had a great time, and I was happy I picked this place for my celebration. I also like to come there just for a dinner with a friend or a business meeting. It’s a great experience every time!

First time I had Thai and I can honestly say I will be back for more. This place was classy, clean, and the food was incredible! The sauces for all our dishes seemed homemade and delectable! I can say enough good things. The only problem I had was when I came in no one was at the service desk. Indescribable flavors perfectly balanced having spicy curry with honey cucumber dipping sauce, YUM!

Sooooo disappointing. Nothing, but the Tom yum soup had flavor. Just terrible.

After living in San Francisco for the past year(the meca for foodies), i can honestly say that no place can beat the chicken pad thai from Thai taste! Their flavor, texture, quantity, etc. is the best!

I can’t say enough good things about Thai Taste. The service is extremely fast, efficient and friendly. The food is consistently good. I ordered the massaman chicken, and they serve it in a big bowl filled with rich coconut curry broth with a bowl of rice on the side. The spice level is relatively low, even after asking for a hotter dish, but the flavors are rich and complex.

Fresh rolls need a dark peanut sauce instead of sweet and sour. Gai larb was very nice.

BESTCHAIR! there is an amazingly comfortable hanging chair in the waiting area, across from the luxurious looking leather L shaped couch. complete with cupholders. I always seem to be ordering at 9:45 before they close at 10, and they either 1. say Of Course and make my food fresh before close or 2. kindly let me know it is too late for pickup. Service has always been friendly and they speak my language. good crab meat pad thai(ask for it spicy, 1 – 4 peppers). curry puffs are small funky triangles. scallion pancake never disappoints. sit in the hanging chair in the lobby!

So sweet. Folks seem to really like it, but it is not even a last resort for me. I shouldn’t give up on it, its one of the few options in the area. Perhaps if I keep looking I will find something that I might be satisfied with.

I ate here on Friday with a coworker. The Restaurant is localed in a small mall in South Portland. We were quickly greeted and sited and giving menus and water. We arrived for an early lunch and by noontime the place was filling up fast. I had spring rolls — very nice, fresh tasting and served with a wonderful dipping sauce. My main course was a seafood soup with thin noodles — just wonderful. If you want a real taste of Thai food in Portland this is the place.

This place is great I have always loved the food in all of their restaurants but the service just took an upswing. I made the mistake of placing a take out order at the cottage road restaurant when I meant to place the order in the Pom Thai restaurant in south Portland. My wife goes to pick up the order and once it is figured out they drive the order over from the other restaurant. My wife tried to offer more money for gas but they refused. The service is beyond belief!!!

Solid, simple Thai food with a friendly staff, extensive menu, and tasty, clearly marked vegetarian dishes. I’ve enjoyed every manifestation of Pom’s, Thai, and tasting that I’ve been to in the greater Portland area.

I like all of Pom’s ventures and support all of them by eating the delish food. This was the original one, I think and it caters to the neighborhood people which is nice. Her other locations have different vibes for different clientele — a sign of a great business woman. I like getting the«make your own noodle dish» on the back of the menu. Huge portion, great prices, my mom and I always like going for a light lunch of spring rolls and tom yum soup. Haven’t tried the indian food, but her Thai food is scrumptious.

I have eaten at Pom’s other locations many times, and confess that I am pretty well addicted to their amazing noodles, salads, and soups. We recently moved to the neighborhood and started getting take-out from Thai Taste somewhat often, and while the food is still wonderful, the service is really iffy. Some nights, my husband or I are forced to recite every single item we ordered before being given our food(which is tricky when one of us orders and the other picks up!), and we have often spent over five minutes standing at the counter waiting — not for our food to be done: we can see it waiting! — but for someone to either come over and help us or finish doing paperwork or taking orders… at the desk… right in front of us. Not cool, especially since this is not exactly cheap. The price still feels right for the quality we get, but definitely not for the experience and wait. Seeing this level of service for take-out customers, we’ve been hesitant to eat in, but the food definitely keeps us coming back! I would recommend any of the other locations, where we have received nothing but top notch service in addition to the incredible food.

Good place. I prefer it to Portland location because it offers Indian as well –WELL, Indian as interpreted by Thai people. Very interesting… They have a $ 16 special which will get U appetizer, dinner, and dessert — Usually for me this means dinner and leftovers for lunch.

We came here while on our weeklong family trip in Cape Elizabeth to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Upon arriving we all poured over their extensive menu. Pad Thai is always my trusty stand by/tester for thai places, but I decided to mix it up just a bit and get their crispy pad thai. Everyone else made their selections and we did wait quite a bit until our food arrived, which when it did we had to wait around 5 – 10 minutes for the last two dishes to arrive. Good thing our family isn’t hung up on being super polite as long as those without food yet gets to pick at everyone elses plates. We were a bit on the early side at 6 p.m., so maybe we caught them a bit off guard in the kitchen(although we did have reservations). The owner/manager did come by and expressed her regrets on the delay and even provided us with some comped watermelon. Regardless, the food was pretty tasty. Definitely not the best thai food I’ve had, but considering we were in Maine I was still impressed. My mom loved her salad which had an interesting carrot, lime, ginger dressing. My crispy pad thai was challenging with noodles that are almost like crunching into uncooked dried pasta. Thank goodness it had a nice sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy sauce with the best cooked shrimp I’ve had on pad thai ever. It was relatively simple on the ingredients, so not all that interesting, but still tasty.
