This el pollo loco deserves some recognition because after visiting other locations recently I realize this location is so much better than the others. The restaurant is always perfectly clean, customer service always great, and they give great portions. This location is always top notch :)

Been here twice recently. Food good value and tasty. Chicken bowl large potion. No wait. Noticed outstanding customer service on both visits. It’s like they are greeting folks at a fancy restaurant. Efficient, friendly, personalized service. Deserves mentioning.

My family and I normally have EPL once or twice a month and we enjoy it very much. Never had a complaint about their food, quality or anything. My kids love the taste of their chicken and I love their prices, specially the 3 course family meal. I think it’s the best bang for the buck if you have a large family. However today I experienced something no other location has ever imposed to me before. The 2 large sides that come with this deal can’t be changed here. They forced me to take rice and beans, even though the menu and their website doesn’t mention anything about this. I was surprised when they said I couldn’t substitute them as I was always able to change sides and sometimes even the salad(when they had a salad on this deal) at all other locations I’ve been to without any problems.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a quick work lunch. The staff are very hard working and friendly and well managed. They take a lot of pride in serving customers efficiently but also with care. The food is the standard Pollo Loco menu at it’s best; fresh and tasty. Fast food but pretty healthy. I recommend the poblano burrito-never disappoints!

Need a quick, delicious, and filling meal? El Pollo Loco to the rescue! The prices are very affordable and the food tastes great! Came here to pick up a quick lunch and did not regret it. The meal was super satisfying and was tastier than expected. The service was good. The food was ready in a timely manner. The food was great. Ordered: — Shrimp tostada. $ 7.39 This bowl comes with 6 small shrimp. They’re a little bit spicy. Next time I would order a ultimate double chicken tostada. — Ultimate double chicken tostada. $ 6.79 Very delicious. My favorite thing to order. You pay $ 0.30 more than a regular chicken tostada bowl and get more chicken. — Carne asada tostada. $ 6.89 Each bowl was very good. The tostada was crunchy. I recommend getting the creamy cilantro dressing! Also very tasty salsas at the salsa bar. Try the Pico design gallo and the avocado one! Yummm!

Love this location. The staff is so friendly, the location is very clean as is the salsa bar. I’ve been here three times and all three times the food has been delicious. The green salsa is made very well. So happy I found this location.

Aright I have no idea why this place only has 16 reviews but it’s the bomb. The chicken avocado quesadilla had just the amount if chicken and avocado and the crispy tortilla just crackled in my mouth. The mixture of all of their ingredients worked so well together and I am definitely coming back because the food is inexpensive and I am on a budget.

Can you really go wrong with El Pollo Loco. Walked in for lunch and ordered the two piece combo with a breast and leg. A loco salad and pinto beans. Everything was fresh and made to order. Staff is always happy and friendly. Will visit again soon for lunch.

I eat here regularly to take advantage of the Chicken Pollo Bowl and pile on the fresh salsa, cilantro, onions, and guacamole dressing. It’s a healthy dish with chicken, beans, rice, and veggies, and with iced tea and corn tortillas is low calorie and reasonably filling. If you take the receipt and answer the survey on the phone or online, you get a code to take a dollar off your next meal. This meal was about five dollars, but it’s just been raised to about forty cents more. Take a dollar off, and it’s a cheap hot meal with drink, low fat, good veggies, protien, fiber and carbs. Awesome. The staff is friendly and the stores are typically clean with plenty of seating. I signed up for the Pollo Rewards and got a free meal for my birthday with two pieces of chicken, tortillas, and two sides, in addition to an order of free guacamole and chips just for signing up. Good organization. Give them business. For the money, it’s a good deal. Fast food can be healthy and great for a diet. Great meal for kids too because it’s cheap and healthy.

Never had this El Pollo Loco location before but the other day it was late and we just wanted a quick meal and some protein so we stopped by here for dinner. I didn’t really want chicken but I did like their loco salad — so I order a large one of those. it’s pretty simple romaine lettuce salad with tortilla chips and some diced tomatoes but what I really like is the salad dressing. So my meal was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the two-piece leg and thigh meal with two sides. corn on the cobb and Mexican rice. The chicken was pretty sad… dry and extremely small. his plate, in my opinion, just didn’t look very appetizing or very filling either… but he said it was okay. The service was okay but one person from the table next to us was kind of mad — complained that the chicken was too dry and the cashier was responding to his complaint by saying that next time he should order juicy.- — well i do agree the chicken looked very pathetic but the cashier wasn’t rude or anything even though she said that — she was just informing him cause she didn’t have a attitude or anything and she did change his chicken pieces. Overall the chicken was not so great and the sides were pretty bland — I actually ended up eating the Corn on the Cobb and it was just as bland as the rice. Can’t say much about the service since there wasn’t much of it besides the cashier taking the order. So yeah overall I think I have had better experiences at other locations.

Best El Pollo Loco I’ve had in a long time. I was expecting the typical el pollo loco that tastes like the chicken was boiled before grilling(but it never was done well. So I always tasted«boiled chicken», texture-wise. This El Pollo Loco has been the best tasting by far. My order came right off the grill or oven and it was super hot. I had not experienced crispy skin on any other recent«crazy chickens», but I did this time and it was completely delicious.

I’m a regular here… chicken is always good and the service is quick, but today I was blown away. Diana was the epitome of perfect customer service. People: if you wanna see how it’s suppose to be done, watch this girl in action. Greeted me and was friendly, took my order, then proceeded to bus tables, talk to customers asking how their food was, offered mints and tooth picks. Now mind you, this is a fast good joint… stuff like this doesn’t happen. Then when my food was ready, she checked the order in front of me, even asking it I wanted the chicken cooked more(well-done), then proceeded to top off the Mac and cheese as it was only ¾ of the way full… The entire time with a sincere smile on her face. Blown away. This girl deserves a raise, and should be teaching others how it’s done.

Don’t normally go 4 Stars on a fast food place — but in comparison to my visits at other El Pollo Locos in three counties, it gets 4 stars. It’s clean and friendly inside. Cooked to order, not fake crap like TacoBell. We shared the soda bar with a homeless transvestite, but hey, it was hot. Some people tried to sell us fruit with chili outside, kind of reminded me of TJ days — this is south Pasadena? Kind of weird trend. Where’s the regulation? I can see it in Berdoo and Colton where the Corn Man pushes his unregulated cart and uncooled butter and and mayo through the mean streets — but people selling fruit on the streets in south Pass… caught me off guard. They better get a handle on that… Go visit Fontana or Bloomington where the ice-cream man sells fireworks, air-soft pistols, carne asada, and packs of smokes… and maybe, just maybe with the right word… something a little stronger. Get your act together South Pass or suffer a fate worse than blight… BLOOMINGTON!

I’m a regular at this El Pollo Loco and tonight, one of the girls that works there, Diana, mentioned she saw my review on Unilocal. Then I remembered I only gave this place 4 stars. 4 stars? No way! This is, without a doubt, a 5 star establishment. In fact, I would give it 6 stars if I could. My gripe back in 2009 was that they closed early sometimes… I can’t remember them closing early once since I wrote that review. The staff is always super friendly and the food is consistently good. This is the best damn El Pollo Loco in all of Los Angeles. Keep the pollo comin’ my friends. You guys rock!

I understand this isn’t a regular restaurant, so obviously I’m keeping that in mind while reviewing this place but I need to point out a few issues that may need addressing. THEGOOD *Baja Original Fish Tacos = excellent!(better than rubios?) Crispy fish, crisp lettuce, great sauce, 6″ flour tortilla *Horchata: surprisingly delicious. Muuuuuucccchhhhhhhh better than Subway’s(next door) and many Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. *Mashed Potatoes: also surprisingly good! Yes they’re instant. Yes this ain’t KFC. Yes they are definitely terrible for you, but on a cold, overcast Saturday, I felt like mashed potatoes and they completely satisfied my craving. Keep in mind these are very simliar to KFC’s(smooth, buttery, rich gravy with hint of black pepper). THEBAD *Stood at counter for more than 2min before being greeted *No napkins on tray, no napkins at table. had to search for them *Price. food quality and taste doesn’t equal the prices they are charging *Chipotle Fish Tacos were just nasty. The crispiness of the fish was completely lost because they tossed it in a thick pasty very mild chipotle sauce. What you end up with is a soggy fish with a sickly sweet sauce in a tortilla with cabbage. THEUGLY *Almost every single table was dirty as of Saturday @ 3:30pm(not even lunch rush). Would I go back? Yes. Should I? Probably not. Much of the menu is good but honestly, in these tough times, people(should) put a LOT of stock in value(is it worth it?) And the answer is NO. I could get a better meal elsewhere for cheaper or the same price.
