Needed a quick, kid-friendly place to get some lunch. Let me start by saying the service was fantastic. There was only one server, I assume also an owner or manager since she was at a side table working on paperwork. She was kind and pleasant. Very quick, but we were the only customers in the whole place. The atmosphere leaves a lot to desire… dingy carpeted floors… and decorations made it seem cluttered. My mother said the French onion soup was the best she’s had, but my son’s grilled cheese was on cheap white bread with one single slice of cheese and my chicken wrap contained wilted lettuce and soggy chicken tenders. Seems like this would be a better place to grab a drink at the bar, not for a meal with your family.

Good food, great service, good beer– it’s small and local so be prepared to wait a bit for your food. Much better than your Applebee’s franchise!

Homemade jalapeño poppers– rather like samosas with homemade crust. No fried food here– these are baked! Jambalaya, shepherds pie, French onion soup in a bread bowl, all above average. Great stop for skiers on the way home as portions are generous and the drinks and service great.

This place isn’t huge, but the food is good and they have a decent beer selection. The staff and locals are friendly. I’ll definitely be back here the next time I’m in the area.
