my only complaint was the table was dirty when she started placing the menu and utensils down. I let her know and that was it. for was good and everything else was post 2000’s eatery.

My boyfriend and I walked in and were told to sit wherever we liked, so we did. We sat there waiting for 20 minutes, and no waiter or waitress had even talked to us. Two other parties came in a few minutes later and sat right next to us. They were immediately served. At that, I was fed up. We walked out and went to a restaurant with friendlier staff across the street. I simply don’t understand it. The fact that no one even asked if we had been served yet just bothers me. I have gone there with other friends before and have always been promptly served. Their food is good but this type of bad service just ruins it for me.

I really like this place. First, a waffle stuffed with eggs and sausage is a brilliant idea. Second their coffee is robust. The ambiance is nice and the wait staff courteous. Be wary, their hours during the week starts at 8am, not 7am as listed by Unilocal

So disappointed that i paid $ 6.50 for 2 orange juices that they poured from a carton. I can buy 2 name brand gallons for that price. And they didn’t even fill my cup up.

The waffles here are just amazing! Nice and fluffy. I get the Vanilla sugar waffle stuffed with fresh blueberries. Its great if you are having a crazy sweet tooth. You literally only need one! Definitely filling! I also get the Grid’s Shrimp n’ Grits with Chipotle Garlic Cream Sauce. The bacon is an added bonus. Occasionally, It can be a little on the salty side with the combined flavors, but still an overall hit. The downside is that they do not have combo options. If you want a stuffed waffle it runs you about $ 4.50, and if you want additional topping it would be more. It would be great if something like that can go with a brunch dish. Another minus would be the basics; like eggs and bacon. My bacon was under cooked and the eggs are underwhelming. Definitely not prepared the way I like. This place excels at their specialty items. Other than that I am a fan. Plus breakfast/brunch any day is a win.

I went here for brunch meeting and was seated fairly quickly. I can tell that they had regulars because the waiters greeted the incoming customers with a familiar hello. The staff seemed to be very good at what they do and kind to the customers. It was the perfect level of background noisy too. It’s just not really up to my liking. The food took a while yo come out. When it did, the waffles(both savory and sweet) were very dense and sometimes chewy(I tried my friends’). They charge for a refill on coffee and I don’t think it’s worth it. Overall, not what I was expecting.

Cons: my waffle was cold. They should use a batter that makes a moister, softer waffle. Pros: good customer service The food was OK. I probably wouldn’t go back

Had the Shrimp & Grits here it was better than I expected. They could have been a little more attentive to the grits though. As we all know grits are hard to make appealing to everyone. Nutella pancakes were delish!!!

Just finished my breakfast and unfortunately my food and my dads was ice cold. My moms breakfast was perfect according to her. I decided to eat mine cold weird I know. My dad couldn’t stomach cold eggs sausage and gravy so he sent his back. Our server was very apologetic when we told her about the cold food. They remade my dads dish and much to our surprise they removed the cold meals from the bill. I wouldn’t completely write this place off based on my one unfortunate experience. They mentioned today was not a good day they were experiencing a host of problems that made it difficult to function at their normal speed and efficiency. I completely understand being I work in the food and beverage industry. All and all I would give this place another try. Side note I did notice a lot of family’s and children. I myself am not a fan of kids or babies at a restaurant but hey I know it’s kind of a family place so if this bothers you don’t go before 12:00 on a Saturday morning.

The food was horrible. I ordered a belgium waffle, and chicken strips to go. The waffle was cold and the chicken strips had no seasoning and they were also cold. They have an open kitchen where you can see how they cook the food. The guy preparing my food was touching my food and cleaning at the same time. He did not wear any gloves, and wiped his hands on his dirty pants, and continue to make my waffle. I was in a rush so, I payed and left. I started to eat the food in my car, but it was cold and tasteless. I will never eat their again unless its under new management and cook staff.

A little on the pricier side for what you get, but nonetheless delicious. Our to go spot when the pizzeria is not open yet. Definitely an awesome brunch spot– their waffles are so yummy(although small) and the flavor combos that they put together have you licking your lips. It can get too sweet sometimes, but fear not-their eggs Benedict with the waffle are so good, definitely one of the best that I’ve tried. It’s annoying to get seating on Sundays because they don’t have a wait list, they just kind of stack people in a corner. Need to do something about that. Other than that, worth a try sometime. Unique and delicious

Based on my first visit, I don’t see what the big hype of this place, maybe it has to do with its«trendiness?»…, but aside from their menu having several varieties of waffle dishes, their taste wasn’t all that much to brag or one that left me with an unforgettable impression to return for another dish. I’m not saying not to stop in, if you find yourself in front of it then by all means, but it’s not worth going out of your way to get here.

Food is excellent, but the service is terrible. As many times as I’ve been here, the service or lack of service never ceases to amaze me.

Never ate here but was willing to try it. I was waiting with my girlfriend for table when I looked at the waffle cook take a filthy towel and clean the waffle maker. Then he put the waffle batter on on it. IMMEDIATELY I was disgusted and walked out

Waffles are my Top 5 favorite foods of all time. They can be made sweet OR savory. They’re pancakes with abs. You can do whatever the heck you want to them. What’s not to love?! We came here for a late brunch on a Saturday and were seated promptly. Anddd that was about the only quick thing about this place. We skimmed the menu and were ready to order after about 5 minutes. Nobody came around until my bf flagged one of the servers down. Our drinks(water, juice, coffee) took awhile to come out though we were literally seated in front of the counter. Furthermore, our food took 30+ minutes. I mean don’t you just pour the batter into the waffle-maker, add whatever accoutrements, and boom you’re done? Seriously there weren’t too many customers and our orders were pretty simple– I had the stuffed waffle(white chocolate, dark chocolate, and strawberries) and he ordered the sausage & gravy waffles. Upon the arrival of our food, come to find they had burnt his waffle which made it difficult to cut/eat and ultimately difficult to enjoy even though the flavors were pretty spot on. My waffle was cooked nicely and was crispy/tasty on the outside, however when I think of «stuffed» I envision that joint to be JAM-PACKED with all that good ish. But nah. Was there even a teaspoon of white chocolate + dark chocolate sauce? BARELY. And I swear they only put like 1.5 strawberries in that piece. The service was almost non-existent. They also took the longest time giving us our check. Our overall wait-time was longer than the time we spent eating. No exaggeration there. Perhaps is was just an off-day for this shop, but if you’re going to advertise«Waffle» in your restaurant name, you better be darn-sure you can dish it!

Have been here a few times. The food is always good but the service and attitude is really BAD. SUPERSLOW. They take forever to make simple dishes and everything you order comes out at different times so your group does not get to eat together. The other big problem is the place is always very SMOKEY. They need an exhaust fan that works, you can see the smoke not even going out the exhaust. Here is a suggestion get a fan in the place to blow the smoke out the door. Not sure why the management or owners of this place do not read the reviews and try to fix these major problems. Come on people simple fixes get your $hit together. This was the Owner/Managers reply to my review. Read your review Ken. I guess on your way in and out you missed the large signs that state that we will be closed this coming Monday thru Wed. for renovations. They’ve been there for several weeks now. Despite your insulting, self deprecating, bash, that we don’t give a shit and or we should get our shit together, as a courtesy please be advised it will all be «together» on Monday. The«simple fix» you referenced will cost a mere 30k. I guess your in the business so you know first hand how easy these«simple fixes» are and that there is so little involved with permits, c/o’s, contractors, landlords, closing for days, loss of income, etc. Ordinarily we would apologize for any indiscretion however that will not happen today. Contrary to what you have come to believe ranting on Unilocal is counter productive. The old fashioned way of speaking to someone directly is always the best route and the most effective. Your public complaint about«attitude» unfortunately now holds little water. Much like your exaggeration of time between dishes being served. Our surveillance video sure comes in handy in times like these. Had you spoken to someone at the time of the supposed indiscretion, called or even written directly, instead of running to Unilocal the«tattle-taler» site as it is well known, we would have been able to address your supposed concern in a proper manner. We can now only assume that your gripe is not legitimate and that you were simply annoyed by the smoke and possibly receive some«back attitude» in the process from some member of our staff. Whom, I will never know because you chose the Unilocal route. Your public bash only served one purpose, for you to vent to strangers, hoping to be heard, in a direct retaliatory effort to hurt a local, independently owned, non-franchise, long standing business. Hardly seems fair especially if you are a local resident.

So I’m a huge breakfast person. I can eat breakfast during any part of the day. So I’m always looking for breakfast /brunch locations. I came this week for the very first time. Small location with approximately 10 – 12 two seater tables and a lounge area with love seats. Great for families, meet-up groups(saw one there at the time), kids, dates etc. I arrived around lunch time and actually got there before it got crowded! Got lucky. Of course I ordered breakfast! Ordered the cheese, onion omelette, salad, 2 pork sausage patties and regular size orange juice. Came up to $ 16.50 not including tip. First off, the presentation of the food was great. But the food was bland! No type of flavor even with salt and pepper. The eggs did not taste like it was real eggs. Tasted like liquid egg product etc. I did not like the taste of the eggs, but I was starving so I ate most of it. The salad supposedly had dressing on it, as per the person who gave me my plate, even though I told her it did not(not the waitress, someone else). Salad was dry I had to beg for dressing, two times from two different people before I got it. Ordered balsamic. That was fine. Tasted like the typical balsamic dressing. The sausage was the only thing that tasted great! It was flavorful and was really good. The orange juice was fresh squeezed juice at room temperature, which is kept in the display by the register /take out area. Juice was fine. I just think it sat there all morning. Needed to be colder and shaken up. I gave it 3 stars because I didn’t like the taste of the food. But it was my first and only dish. However, I would like to come back and try something else on the menu BEFORE I say I am not coming back. The waitress was nice. Looked as though there was only one and she was really busy, overall okay spot.

Came on a Friday morning with a pretty large group and the service was fairly quick and attentive. I don’t generally care for omelettes but I ordered the Western one. It had green peppers, onions, ham, and cheddar. Well-made and NOTGREASY. Greasy omelettes are nauseating. This one was simple and tasty. Iced coffee was yummy as well. Huge menu selection and prices are decent I guess. Would return.

Stopped in while doing work nearby. Saw waffles, thought I’d try it out. I ordered a western omelet and the original Liege waffle. I have eaten at some of the best breakfast places in the country, I must say the Liege waffle was AMAZING ! Very European in taste and presentation. I will come back just for the waffles alone! They’re that good. My food was served piping hot and fresh with no delay and the place was pretty busy. The waitresses were very friendly and very at-tentative. The omelette was fluffy and the ingredients were of good quality. Try this place out, you’ll be happy you did.

I’ve always wanted to try this spot out and enjoyed it. There are a number of items that jump out on the menu, some tailored for breakfast and brunch. I tried the brie-basil waffles and salad and it was a nice brunchy combo of sweet and not sweet tastes. The salad tasted fresh and I liked the way the tomatoes and cucumbers were sliced. The waffle — topped with bacon and cheese, it was very tasty although I found it to be a bit too sweet as it had like a jelly in it while the waffle itself was sweet, instinctively adding syrup made it way sweet. Still the presentation was good. The resturant is clean, has decent seating and has a cool lounge area I suppose is for waiting but it is pretty smoky in there from the cooking. The staff are very nice but I guess the lack of business at the time caused our waitress to be just watching the table which was a bit awkward. A nice little brunch-fast spot with a variety of things to try for an alright price if you want some flair over the surrounding diners. I’d like to make another visit.
