Where I discovered single malt scotch — eternally grateful I am.
It seemed like fate stumbling in here to purchase scotch for my dad for Christmas. I was going to go with the standard Johnnie Walker fare, but the young, knowledgeable employee decided to school me on the world of scotch.
I soon learned the difference between Highland and Islay, peat-​y and smokey, and, of course, blended and single malt.
I walked out with a tasty Talisker, later returning for a fantastic Glenmorangie. Of all the ways to make your dad proud…
