I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared and the server Ashley was kind and funny. I’ll definitely be recommending Rice House to my friends.

Awesome Awesome!!! The rice is to die for. Parking is a pain, but well worth it. We had the Kubideh platter, a combo with chicken and the hummus. Add some olive oil to the hunmus and its great! New weekend hangout!

Only thing I don’t like about this place is that there’s no convenient parking. Other than that, the food is great. Big portions, tasty food, reasonable prices. The good middle-eastern places in the area tend to be pricey but Rice is much more affordable. Will be repeating often!

Whoever selected the location for the South Miami store should be fired. I’ve driven by several times but it’s not readily reached since you have to approach it using Sunset unless you’re northbound on Dixie Highway and know where to turn. Well we made a conscious decision to go there. We were lucky to get an official parking spot. We had the chicken and sirloin kabobs. The kabobs were excellent. The accompanying salad was good. I’ll pass on the rice next time. The restaurant is entirely too large. There’s no way you could get that many people in it because there’s little parking. This is a lousy location all around. There’s a real feeling of emptiness. The crinkle of the styrofoam plates almost echoes. Shame.

The place looks and feels like a cafeteria, the food served on styrofoam plates and plastic trays with plastic utensils to enhance your cafeteria experience. The food looks beautiful and full of color until you take a bite of your nice warm grilled vegetable only to find it is cold and flavorless. We ordered 4 different platters and all where bad.

I am taking my time to leave a honest and sincere opinion because I must have to say that they have the«best Mediterranean food ever» .we love it, ingredients are always fresh, the portions are big, they pack it soo well and if it isn’t enough they also have the best delivery service, it is the fastest I’ve ever seen from any other restaurant and they always send it right, never had to complain or get upset about anything !!! We are addicted to their delicious food and they great costumer service ! If you are looking for a good restaurant with good prices, service and fresh food. Buy it, you won’t regret !

I am so obsessed with this place, I love the food! The South Miami location is very spacious and for checking in you get a free appetizer. While this location is big, there are not sufficient parking spots. The store is located on US-1 next to a auto shop. I have no complaints from their staff, the food is always fresh and warm. My favorite choice is the Joojeh platter. They have lunch specials in the afternoon that runs until 3PM. Either way one plate is sufficient enough for two people. I think the amount charged for a plate is worth it for the quality you receive. If you’re already there you must get baklava! :)

Amazing food, everything is delicious. The chicken is so juicy and the grilled vegetables are to die for. One of my favorite spots to eat.

The biggest con I’d say are the limited customer parking spots, there is paid parking nearby though. The food is quite good, has lots of options: salads, platters, vegetarian, seafood, combos… For he soup fans, the roasted red pepper and tomato is a must-try dish, you won’t regret it!

My co-workers & I placed a pick-up order and we were very content. It was my 1st time trying them out and I look forward to trying other menu items. For my 1st visit I ordered the Joojeh(chicken) over rice. The portion was plentiful and the seasoning on the chicken was amazing! If you want the best bang for you buck the Joojeh lunch special is the way to go so much food for just $ 8.95. Our order was ready in 15 minutes and the staff was helpful. The restaurant look very cleaned and it was not overly packed.

Fresh food. Made to order. Worth the wait. About 2 weeks ago I had my first official visit after having been there for an event a few days before. While attending the event, the Shabani family and RHoK staff left me with such a great impression of them and their business that there was no doubt in my mind that I would return. I recognized the guy taking my order as one of the kind gentlemen who had been present at the event that I attended. As my friend and I entered the establishment and walked near he greeted us with a smile. He gave us some time to look over the menu and as we did so, he glanced at me every once in a while. At some point he realized where he had recalled seeing me and stated that he was glad that I had returned. Finally, with our minds made up we put in our orders. 2 Joojeh(chicken) lunchboxes served with a salad, rice, bread, hummus, and that DELICIOUS sauce. The food took some time to arrive but in return we received well seasoned, fresh meals. Things couldn’t have been better. They’ll be seeing me again.

Really glad to have found this place! It’s a quick service style restaurant but keep in mind that everything is made fresh & to order so be patient! The dolmeh was an excellent starter! Tender vine leaves with grain rice and seasoning was delicious! I really enjoyed the chicken platter, the boneless chicken was cooked really well and their secret sauce goes great on everything! Put it on the chicken, the rice, the Greek salad the falafels! I think this is a great family run business, the four brothers really took their culture and passion for cooking and created a great restaurant! They have a cool ap too that makes take out super easy!

The Good I ordered the fish platter($ 14.55) which comes with two pan seared tilapia filets on a bed of salad and a side of basmati rice. Everything was really fresh, I loved everything. The value was great for the amount of food given. Make sure to check in for your free appetizer — but if you get the hummus or must-o-kheyar, know that you’ll need to pay for a side of pita. The Bad The service here leaves a lot to be desired. It was a Sunday afternoon, Dec 6th at around 4.30−5pm. From the moment we walked in, a group of only four, the two associates behind the counter gave us sour looks. There were no other guests at the counter when we approached, but we were barely greeted and they seemed less than thrilled to be working there. There were several problems in our meal, all of which were brought to the attention of the staff, but not a single apology was provided and nothing more than the necessary actions were taken. 1) I had ordered the hummus appetizer as my check in offer. She asked if I wanted Pita with my hummus, which I assumed came with it. I said yes. Later I only noticed I was charged because my friend ordered the must-a-kheyar and they actually let her know pita would be an extra charge, of course only because she had to ask after she had paid and they needed to charge her again. 2) My hummus never was given to me. When my buzzer went off, my food was ready but no hummus or pita was on the tray. When I asked the associate about it, she looked at the tickets and gave me the hummus. She said she’d bring me the pita to the table. No further apology or explanation was given. This was a trend, as everyone else at the table had issues with getting their appetizers. 3) My friend had ordered an extra chicken kabob on his platter, which he thought he had been charged for. When he asked the associate about it, she simply said he hadn’t been charged for it but she could charge him now and they would make one. Since the food took a long time to come out, he decided to let it go since he hadn’t been charged. Overall I would come back here, but with the expectation that it takes longer than desired to be served and I wouldn’t expect good service. If management could fix the service issue, this would definitely be a five star place.

In light of not being able to attend the upcoming CMYE due to logistics this week, I met up with a couple of Unilocalers for a light dinner when we were in the area this afternoon. Those attending will be in for a treat with the food! When one of my co-diners suggested Rice House, I checked out the menu and the first thing that caught my eye was their lentil soup. It was as good as I hoped for, with both portion size and seasoning. It had a generous mix of beans and carrots, and a bit of heat, which I love. Next up was their chicken combo platter, with rice and a Greek salad. I appreciate the fact they catered to my OCD foodie tendencies and took out the onions and feta cheese. The greens and tomato slices were fresh and not too oily. Chicken was just the right temperature and nicely marinated with saffron. The basmati rice was«al dente», and with a sprinkling of saffron yellow rice as well. According to my friend, the texture was authentic. I’m a dessert snob, and their walnut baklava passed my test. There’s a nice helping of food in the pastry, and the sticky honey is a perfect way to close out a meal. I’m holding off the fifth star because of a couple of hiccups with service. Perhaps the cashier didn’t hear my request for extra chicken. The portion of pita bread with my meal could have been a little larger as well. Thankfully another friend shared their bread order. Yes, it was delicious and I wanted more. Still and all, Rice House is a great place for a casual and healthy lunch or dinner. I plan to be back!

I have to be the Debby downer here and disagree that the food in this place is any good. I just paid $ 32 for two bowls of lettuce with 4 pieces of shrimp, an avocado, and some hummus. The«salad» took forever to arrive and the overall service was ok. This is definitely not a 4 or 5 star restaurant. It’s a food chain with mediocre and overpriced food. I really wanted to like this place, so disappointed!

Ok, I had been looking at the sign saying opening soon FOREVER! Finally, they opened and I went to check them out. Parking is extremely limited. There is no street parking as it’s on US1. Behind the building is a paid lot. I had to drive around a few times to wait for a spot to open up. Inside it’s much bigger than I expected. It’s almost too big. The tables seemed dwarfed by the space. The counter area is very nice and clean and well laid out though. The service was very friendly. I ordered the falafel lunch combo; filled my cup and took a seat. There were only two other tables occupied when I arrived. Still I had a wait longer than I should have. If I can just about finish my Coke before the meal comes out… That’s too long. Finally food! The salad and rice were both very good. The rice was soft and hot and tasty. The salad was crisp and cool and tangy. The falafel? Ummm… dry, hard, and totally disappointing. Of all the things to mess up on… not the falafel! A definite faux pax. RHOK lost major stars on having sub par falafel. For a meat eater that would be like serving tough, dry chicken. Just can’t do that. If I am in the mood and in the area, I might try them again. Maybe it was a fluke. Maybe…

I’m happy this place finally opened! I’ve never been to any of the other locations, but I’ve heard nothing but good things, so I had to try. You can find it on US1 right next to Akashi. We found parking right behind the building, but the parking is pretty limited. Luckily, there is a lot right there, but you have to pay to park. As you walk in, there are menus that have pictures of what the dish looks like(which is great!) You order at the counter and are given a pager. I love how they have dim lighting in the back and how the tables are very spread out. The food– I had the jojeh chicken platter, which also comes with salad and rice. It was delicious!

Middle Eastern food is one of my favorite foods, as I have fond memories of very close friends from those foreign lands, and seeing this franchise grow in Miami is a pleasant reminder of such times. Before I move on, let me just point out, Middle Eastern food is not the same as Mediterranean food. I have been to the RHOK location in Brickell several times. Being from a rice driven culture, I find this place very appealing to my craving for, or lack of, rice. The menu is the same as the other locations, grilled meats on a stick, on a bed of rice, with a big salad, hummus, and a piece of pita bread. My favorite is the cubed meat, not the ground beef. They also have chicken, fish, shrimp and falafel(vegetarian), and they also sell combinations of meats, like chicken and beef, although I haven’t seen any combo with fish or shrimp or falafel. But the secret to their popularity is possibly the combination of their meals with a gigantic salad. It is a normal Greek style salad, but the ingredients are so good, it almost feels like eating at a better sit down restaurant. I specially love finding the kalamata olive buried in the salad. That is the highlight of my meal. RHOK also sells different types of salads, some accompanied with kabob meats. This new place is located on US-1, or South Dixie Highway, so it’s an easy stop if you are driving in the area and need to pick up some food. There is a small parking lot next to the building, but if it is full, there is metered parking on the back of the building, although you may find a spot that is not metered. Finally, service here is very good. The food comes out within reasonable time(it is not fast food), but it is always good. This franchise is very concerned with serving a great meal, so everything is always fresh. If you are looking for a healthier option and not looking to go over $ 15, this place is the place.
