This store has a big selection and average prices given it’s location, which is right in the middle of the city or tourist area. They do have some unique items but most of what they have is still consistent with the country theme.

This place offers an assortment of tchotchkes based on western wear — straw cowgirl hats for the masses, silver jewelry, accoutrements. But they had a limited boot selection — come on guys! So as a true western wear store, this place fell flat.

I found the most beautiful hat with a nice tourquoise piece in the center. I’ve gotten sooo many compliments on it. I buy a lot of hats and these were fairly priced. You’ll find something for everyone here. Cute selection of Brighton jewelry, also.

I was recently in this store. Though the store is very nice and had alot of unique things, I had a bad experience with a very RUDE employee there and when I complained about it no one seemed to care. The employees all seemed to be around 18 years old so they could care less that I complained about one of their«high school friends». I found this very annoying considering the store relies heavily on tourism.

Men — this is a bad bad place! Do not go here. Do not let your wife go here. She may spend way too much money. So might you. Ok…but seriously. They have a good selection of western wear especially for the ladies. Men’s selection not so much. I mean they have shirts for the men but not too much else. A few jackets maybe. Some western jewelry too.

*This should be 3 ½ stars because I didn’t get ot make a purchase After boarding the boyfriend and I decided to wander the streets and find some good eats. I am confessing now that I’m a «souvenir nik-nak addict» so the random shops were all too tempting. We came across«High Chaparral» and decided to check it out. It looked unique with it’s full-on Western paraphernalia. There were tons of cool little things from the @ss-kicking hot sauces, cowboy hats, dream catchers, Jack Daniel’s stuff and more. Unfortunately, because we were in a rush i did not make a purchase. However, I will be certain check it out again upon my return. .:Overall:. Products — unique variety Atmosphere — earthy, western, old americana’ish .:Recommendation??:. Sure thing! If you are in town check it out! Ninja had a great time in the shop(see pix)

So after a long day of boarding in the morning and skiing in the afternoon, the«Lady K» and I decided that we needed to treat ourselves. I choose to grab an ice cream from Cold Stone while she choose to do some shoe shopping. Or should I say moccasin shopping. The High Chaparral is one of those shops at Heavenly that just doesn’t seem to fit… well for me at least. They sell cowboy and cowgirl stuff. I’m talking wide brim hats, shirts with rhinestones, John Wayne collectibles and well you get the picture! Despite not being a shop we would normally go in, the«Lady K» fell in love with this pair of moccasin and she now wears them proudly. Like the High Chaparral, they are bit out of place with her other shoes, but who cares, she looks great in them! Special hello to Maria who helped us out and hadn’t heard of Unilocal until I told her!
