Jayme F was our server and was busy with tables when we arrived but made it a point to stop by our table and let us know that it’d be a few minutes. It actually wasn’t that long and even then, when Jayme came to our table, he apologized for the short wait, thanked us for our patience and took our order. Jayme was SUPER friendly and though we always get really friendly service at Heidi’s and a manager always comes to the table to check on how our food is, etc., Jayme truly provided some of the best service we’ve had here. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

#169 Wow! Yum! Wow! I really love Heidi’s for the service, the food and the ambience. I have never had a bad experience here. I first tried Heidi’s a couple years ago via a friend’s recommendation and it seems to always be on my mind, even though I am only in Tahoe a couple of times a year. When the snow crew woke up early Monday morning I made sure we all agreed to do breakfast at Heidi’s before the slopes. Wonderful idea. *pats self on back* When we arrived it was crazy snowing, super cold outside and a HUGE line waiting for service. After a short wait, Aline greeted our group with a sweet smile and a warm attitude. She walked us to a table comfy enough for us all. She is the kind of server that you know loves what she does. She had a constant smile, was patient with us as we made a slow decision and had plenty of suggestions to help us along the way. We chose hot chocolate and Bloody Mary’s to start. Both were splendid. Then we moved forward to the food part: Farm House Skillet Eggs Benedict Banana Crepes Breakfast Burrito We added a few sides of fresh fruit and sliced tomatoes and we were ready to eat. The food came out ridiculously fast and super delicious. We all ate off of each others plates as to not miss out on any of the yummy goodness that was presented on our table. The Farm House Skillet was splendid. A big dish with potatoes, country gravy and a couple of eggs any way you want them atop the skillet with toast on the side. The Breakfast Burrito was super BIG, I mean enough to fill two people easily. The Crepes were to die for, I mean really. They were served with fresh bananas and a delicious buttery sweet sour cream. Finally, those Eggs Benedict were probably the best I have ever tasted. The Hollandaise was magnificent. Eggs poached to perfection. Muffins grilled perfectly. Aline checked on us always making sure we had refills, extra napkins, any accouterment we might need and always offering her award winning smile. I am positive Tahoe has more places that are delicious for breakfast, but when you find a winner like Heidi’s, well, you stay loyal. We even took a picture in the parking lot after our tummies were crazy full just to represent! Stephani Smiles for Heidi’s ;)

I have been to Heidi’s every time I’ve been to Lake Tahoe. It’s a GREAT breakfast spot. One of my favorites anywhere. The service was fast and friendly. The coffee is good, and we loved both the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs(OMG, it seems like regular corned beef, but it’s extra delicious) and the Mountaineer Crepes. Going back today!

A South Lake Tahoe institution since 1962. We went here with my family and don’t regret it. The wait was relatively short, the food was good, the service was very good. It’s an everyman’s restaurant. If you like Denny’s, you’ll probably like this place. AMBIANCE ========== I love the Swiss Mountain Lodge theme with all of the stained wood and decorations. It is a little bit dirtier and dustier than I would have liked. It’s pretty obvious that this place has been around a long time, but the restaurant could stand a cleaning. (3÷5) FOOD ====== EMERALDBAYSKILLET It was good. It needed a little salt and ketchup, but it was good. Nice big portion, too. RATING: 4⁄5 KIDSPANCAKES A two-stack of buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup galore. My son(5yo) REALLY wanted to have a whipped-cream smiley face on his pancakes. Our server obliged after having to remind him. RATING: 4⁄5 BEVERAGE ========= COFFEE Standard, but hot and they kept the cup full RATING: 4⁄5 PRICE /VALUE ======= Breakfast for four with beverages was around $ 50USD. SERVICE ========== The service was friendly, fast and attentive. We had to remind of a few things, but they were busy and we’ll give them a mulligan. 4⁄5

I am giving 3 stars because we absolutely love their food and have gone there during our vacations in Tahoe. BUT their service is lacking. I put my name for a table of four. The gentleman said give me a couple minutes. Okay so I wait 15 minutes. No biggie there was a few families before our party. When he called our name we all were present. He said hold on just a minute. We waited 5 more minutes while we saw other families being seated right away. FINALLY my sister said we’ve been waiting. When we sat at our table we waited probably 10 – 15 minutes until a server came up. She had passed us at least 3 times saying«oh I’ll be right there». When she came over she immediately asked us all what we wanted in a hurry. Didn’t really listen to what any of us ordered nor did she ask the usual«would you like toast or an alternative». So after she rushed us to order, we sat wondering why she didn’t even ask what drinks we wanted. Tried to ask someone else if we could order drinks… his reply«oh I’m not allowed to get your drinks. I’ll get someone else». Our food came in pretty good time. Didn’t take too long and it took enough time to not question if they microwaved it(lol). When our server came to set our food down she asked us who’s was who’s. Now I’ve worked in restaurant service for the better part of 3 years and never have I had that much struggle. Our food was great!!! As it always is. And we had a great time aside from our service. I do highly recommend Heidi’s for their food. But as far as service, it was lacking. I know for a fact that our server was way overwhelmed because she had more tables than I could count on my hands. But like I said, I’m sure there will be plenty of more times we will go there for their amazing food.

Friendly service. Beware — orange juice comes in very small cups and they charge for refills. Eggs needed to be cooked a little more for me personally. Pancakes were good. Biscuits and gravy were good but we’ve had better. Clean eating area.

This place was okay. It’s got good history in the area, according to articles posted around the restaurant, but I wouldn’t say the food was worth the long wait. I can’t remember exactly how long we waited, but I think it was at least 45 minutes on a weekday. Granted, it was Jan 2nd, so it still might’ve been vacation crowds. Not sure. The food was fine, just nothing to write home about. Our server was very nice. Prices are moderate.

Service: 4 Stars. They gave us an accurate wait time, kept us up to date with our seating status and had us at our table within 15 minutes even though it was pretty busy. The only reason I took a star was because getting coffee refills was a bit difficult. Food was delicious, staff friendly and price reasonable.

Easily one of my favorite places to eat when I’m in Tahoe. My mouth always waters at the thought of the freshly baked blueberry muffins. My go to breakfast has always been the corn beef hash(it’s the canned) with fresh fruit. But the pancakes are a must for first timers. Be sure to take a look at the board when you walk in to see what the specials are. The staff has been here for years and know all the goodies very well and are super friendly. Only bad thing is on weekends it’s a very popular spot so you’ll have to wait a while to get a seat. Can’t wait to go back again and again.

Pleasant service, good breakfast. Enjoyed the sour cream stuffed crepes w/blueberry compote. And the Joes beef omlette, cheesy like me and just the way I like it! Had the biscuit too, I recommend it as your choice of bread.
