The food and service was fabulous! We got an appetizer that sampled a little but of everything and everything on the plate was amazing. Their lemon chicken soup was one of the best I’ve had. To top it off the entrée, Gorgonzola gnocchi, was simply to die for. The lady’s working were super nice and helped explain some of the menu items clearly and accurately. To end things the chocolate cake with cinnamon whipped cream melted in your mouth while the baklava was clearly homemade in a good way and tasted just like it came straight from med. highly recommend.

Excellent food. Their Lamb Gyros are so delicious. The Zatziki sauce was just perfect both times we went. Their fries are really tasty and the dipping sauce was delicious. Best Gyros I had in a long time.

Very bad business policy. We party of three arrived first but we were bypassed and given the seats to another party of six. I will never go there again, worst customer treatment. For them it is all about profit.

The FRIES and SAUCE are unbelievable and keep us coming back. The chicken gyro is fresh and delicious, substantial and came with a delicious tossed Greek salad that I could almost drink. Get the Limonata San Pellegrino and you’re set. We came here 3 years ago and forgot the name and found it again just by memory! Worth the wait. We will be back sooner next time!

This has always been one of our favorite places to eat(especially on nights we don’t want to cook because they have take-out). We’ve always preferred this location over the waterfront location on Ski Run because it’s faster service, there’s more food choices, and it’s half the price(however, the outdoor seating, live music and full bar at the Ski Run location during the summer justifies the higher cost). Anyways, we went here with a couple of friends about a week ago, were seated and handed a menu that had half of the items it used to have… and double the cost. I recognized the menu immediately: it’s the same exact menu as their location on Ski Run. For example, I always got the Falafel Pita, which was about $ 7.00…it is now $ 12.00 because it comes with fries. I don’t want fries, and especially not for $ 5.00. We were super bummed, tipped the waitress and apologized because we had decided to go eat somewhere else instead. The waitress was sweet and we felt really bad for her because she said people had been complaining over the past couple of days about the«new» menu… so disappointing.

2nd time at this location. There Is another up the road with a larger menu but not on lake. Great food, awesome location and good service at decent prices. The souvlaki plate does not disappoint nor does the spicy lentil soup. They are known for their fries which are delicious too! Really enjoy sitting outside with the view of the lake or next to the fire pit. Did I mention good tunes playing a well.

One of the must go-to spots on all Tahoe trips. Lamb Gyro and Artemis fries… Doesn’t get much better. Great cocktail selection and service is always friendly and helpful. Ask for homemade hot sauce, fire!

Friendly, fast service. Great outside seating. Tried the Greek coffee with ouzo, it will warm you up for sure. Bloody Mary was AMAZING! Especially with a little of the ghost pepper sauce. Mezzo plate was a must. Lamb souvlaki was really good.

This isn’t exactly an authentic Greek place. But food was fairly decent and reasonably priced. Seems more like a café not a full service sit-down restaurant. They have good salads. Ordered the Artemis salad with seared ahi tuna and grilled shrimp salad. Tuna slices were on the skimpy side. Crab cakes wasn’t that great — was falling apart. Shrimp salad was good.

One should not go in with the expectations of authentic Greek food(like we did. That caused us some disappointment). However, everything we ordered was good(think americanized Greek food) and priced well. Servings are large and the service was quick and very friendly. One note: I would encourage trying a new avgolemono soup recipe. The one offered gives patrons the wrong idea of what the soup truly should taste like and what should be in it. What was served to us was chicken soup at best.

Tonight, I just ate what must’ve been my 20th Gyro Plate from Artemis. Moist gyro/schwarma meat, lots of salad bits, fresh pita, and a cooling tzatzki sauce — It was wonderful. Their lamb burgers, pita sandwiches, souvlaki plate dinner, and avgolemeno soup are equally wonderful. Artemis has found the elusive formula for serving up tasty food at reasonable prices. Their servers are professionals who understand the meaning of customer service. I’m a fan!

3 stars for the entrees, 1 star for the falafel appetizer. My friend ordered the gyro pita wrap($ 7.95) and I got the duck pita($ 9.95) and both were fine, average in price. The pita was soft, there was a hint of sweetness from the pomegranate sauce, the duck was moderately tender, the cabbage slaw added a nice crunch and the avocado added some richness. The only problem was that it was served lukewarm! Not exactly ideal after a long cold day of snowboarding… The portion size is also just OK, not huge but filling enough. However, my real issue was with the falafel. For $ 5.95 you get 5 measly falafels, almost as small as quail eggs and about one-third the size of the falafels I get in SF! That’s more than a dollar per mini falafel! And to make matters worse, they tasted terrible. They lacked seasoning and spices and were oddly bitter and unpleasant in texture. To quote my friend: «It tastes like mud.» These were hands down the worst falafel I have ever eaten, and the price was completely unjustifiable. The best part of the dish was the cucumber garnish which I used as a palate cleanser.

Super friendly service. Austin has great hair and is the best! The Lamb Gyro plate is soooo good and you get a generous amount of food. The lamb is so tender and flavorful and you get lots of warm, yummy pita bread to dip in the sauce. You MUST save room for dessert! We tried both the Baklava and the Chocolate Galaktoboureko. I normally don’t like baklava because I think it’s way too sweet, but the baklava at Artemis is lightly sweet and not heavy or dense at all. You get a very generous size portion with crushed pistachios on the top. The Chocolate Galaktoboureko is like a chocolate cake made with filo dough. It’s also delicious, but the best part is the house-made cinnamon whipped cream! Omggg… I could just eat that for dessert and be happy! The location is perfect if you’re staying in the Keys. Easy parking too!

Kabobs, Pitas, Hummus, and Gnocchi. What doesn’t fit? Yes, they have gnocchi hear. Italy is in the Mediterranean but I never expect Italian food at a Mediterranean restaurant. This place is pretty poppin’ because we were planning to wait for a table but after 30 minutes and no budging, we ended up ordering take out. It is located on the right side of a plaza across from a liquor store. The place is pretty small so either get there early, call in your order for take out, or order your food and wait for take out. The servers seem to be very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The menu itself is pretty diverse and eclectic with all types of meat from chicken to falafel to duck to venison. You can pretty much get a pita with some type of meat. You can also order chicken and gnocchi. My friend got the chicken and gnocchi and it was extremely heavy. The gnocchi itself was very dense and the chicken was very dry. Although full of flavor, it was tough to eat with it being so dry and I just had a bite. I got the falafel pita which came with 4 falafel balls with a mixed salad wrapped around some pita. The falafel balls were super hard on the outside. Once you bite through that crust though, it was very crumbly. The flavor was pretty ordinary. Nothing too amazing but it was decent. I’ve had better at a fast foodie kind of place… did the job but that was about it. I’ll probably pass the next time I’m in Tahoe. Would rather spend the time to cook or find some other place. My friends didn’t particularly like their dishes either. e.g. Venison pita was way too raw onion-y. Flavortown but not the good kind…

Good spot for Mediterranean! Affordable, filling and a reasonably healthy option. It’s located in a small strip mall, not super central to the South Lake Tahoe area, so it doesn’t get too busy. My brother and I stopped by for dinner on a holiday over the winter and didn’t have to wait for a table. Service is friendly but a little slow, especially given it wasn’t a busy night. We ordered the Artemis Fries as an appetizer, and I got the Gyros Plate for my entrée, which was pretty solid. My brother got the Lamb Souvlake Plate($ 15). I didn’t get to try it but it looked pretty good, although the portion of meat seemed kind of small. –ARTEMISFRIES($ 4.95) — 4.5÷5 I’m not sure what these fries are seasoned with but man are they addictive! Some sort of slightly sweet seasoning that I couldn’t quite place. maybe it was just some sort of BBQ powder? I only wish the fries were more thin cut instead, but they were still as nice and crisp as thicker fries can get. –GYROSPLATE($ 13.95) — 4⁄5 [rotisserie lamb, Greek salad, pita, tzatziki and feta] Lots of meat! Super tender but it got kind of salty after a bit. It came with a ton of soft pita as well. Greek salad was whatevers but the tzatziki was pretty good and refreshingly tangy.

We had THEBESTCUSTOMERSERVICEEXPERIENCEHERE. We had a mishap where we were misquoted a wait time w/a new host. When the manager checked in with us, she apologized, had a great upbeat personality and gave us our new time. When we were seated our server(red head) was above and beyond nice! They accommodated us for a long wait time. The food was VERYDELICIOUS and we constantly had servers coming to check on us and the manager checked in again. It made our whole experience so pleasant!!! Would definitely come back here next time we visit. Everything was good! The calamari is amazing and the portions are more than enough with great prices!
