It’s a 7 – 11. Slurpee heaven. Perfect for a place to stop after a hike in the Desolation Wilderness for a snack or ice cold drink or a nice and clean bathroom. They do have a Redbox if you’re in need of a movie for the night. Staff are not exactly the most outgoing and friendliest, but I can’t knock them — they must get a stream of non-stop tourists coming in all day and night asking for the bathroom and dragging Tahoe filth in.

Owners and staff are very rude. Place is always filthy and the coffee is burnt and watered down. I live up the street and I’ll drive to the other 7 – 11 for coffee.

I used to live a couple blocks from this 7-Eleven, and I kinda miss that convenience. I still go here occasionally, and I like it because it’s removed from the craziness of the Y and the main drag. So if you just need something quickly, it’s fast and easy, with great parking. The staff could be a little more friendly, but at least they’re competent.
Sure, it doesn’t have everything, but it does have pretty much all the essentials. Plus Slurpees…
