Everything most travelers and truckers like me need here. Of course dating back to the 70s these over the toll road original oasis’ had Howard Johnson sit down cafes at one time. Though they have been rebranded many times and changed shape this one still has the best of everything and alot of truck parking. One of the other things for kids with McD’s is a playland. What is also fun is the seating counter in center by window. You can watch traffic come at you or from under you heading away. Now it has not only a Starbucks… BUT a DUNKINDONUTS in same bld. along with Sbarro and Panda Express and more. But how about that… Uniting the world thru coffee. StBks and DD in harmony in same building. Who says we all can’t get along?

Clean bathrooms for tiny bladders. I guess I’m obsessed with stopping at the Illinois Toll Road Oasis’. You would never find a bathroom this clean in Jersey. This is an oasis with limited food selection. A lot of the venues are shuttered. There’s a standard Sbarro, McDonald’s, DD, Starbucks and Auntie Anne’s. There are also plenty of places to sit and watch the traffic pass beneath you. Excellent break on the highway. I’m sure I will return as nature usually calls when I’m driving.

Nice place to stop for food and rest. There are few options for food here like pizza(sbarro), chinese(panda express) along with subway and mcdonalds. Also you have starbucks coffee/beverages. Hope everyone in the family can have something though they have different taste Rest rooms are very clean. There is a little play area for kids to have fun. nice spot to sit and watch the vehicles on freeway.

Clean and usually not busy when we drive thru on our trip to Michigan. Clean restrooms and they have a Starbucks! They also have one family restroom north and south bound entrances. There is also a play area for the little ones. Love to play the claw machines outfront.

This is a nice place to stop. Son #2 has to take many rest stops on our road trips. He has to stop way more than I ever did when I was pregnant! As a result, I know LOTS of good places to stop, but I hadn’t visited this one. We were on a college visit in uncharted territory when he told me he had to stop, so I pulled in here. The restrooms were clean and I didn’t feel like there was an ax murderer trolling in the parking lot. There are many food choices here that you can actually eat. I’ve taught my kids that you don’t get pizza or hot dogs at a gas station, but they have Starbucks and Subway here which is welcome!

A gem of an highway oasis if I do say so my self; super clean and well maintained. I didn’t come across the tamale cart but maybe I just wasn’t looking hard enough, as the I pass station and restrooms. The restrooms immaculate; however the I pass line was long so «I passed» on by it, just take care of that stuff line it is easier that way.

I use to commute from Crown Point, IN to Oakbrook, IL daily for about 2 years and I’ve stopped here more times then I probably should have… I’ll tell you why: 1) Clean bathrooms — always 2) Decent food choices… I always went with Starbucks and Subway 3) Free Wi-Fi 4) Clean bathrooms — yep so clean I say it twice! 5) I can sleep in the parking lot if need be 6) Need gas?! If you need gas or have gas or need to eat or take a quick nap… or need access to Internet stop on by… open 24 hours.

Convenient place to stop… love the Ken-taco-hut and the Panda Express, also there is a Subway, pretzel place and a couple other fast food things in there. Kids love watching the cars zoom under the building while they eat. Oh and if you’re a toll violator like me who has no idea what all those white & blue blinking lights mean when you rock the iPass lane, there is a little shop here where you can get your account straight as well.

A highway oasis just outside the Indiana border with an indie tamale cart ‘imported’ from the city daily? Huzzah! I stopped here today after a crazy early morning event out in Oak Forest when I figured I should make the most of being so far out, and head to 3 Floyd’s. Unfortunately for me, when your morning starts at 4:30 am and you’re stuck standing in freezin balls weather for 5 – 6 early morning hours, the need for a beer kicks in at about 9:30, but your supplier won’t likely be open till noon. So what’s a desperate beer starved gal to do? Make a pit stop at a nearby highway oasis to my daily fix of Starbucks and central heating. Added bonus: Immaculate restroom! A few steps in and my work-day helper and I see girl scouts selling cookies, the usual oasis staples(subway, panda express, McD’s), and Tamales Garibay. A Chicago based tamales company with a stand at the Oasis Wednesday — through Saturday 9am-3pm(or earlier if they run out). The tamales are made fresh daily and trucked to the oasis’ Garibay booth to be served hot, fresh, moist and delish. On my maiden oasis+tamales voyage, my veg partner and I split 2 three packs of tamales, one with jalapeño and cheese and one with squash. Perfecto! I prefer everything with spice so the Jalapeño ones were my fave but the squash ones could also me described as something to write home about. It’s $ 6 for a 3-pack but the tamales are the biggest I’ve ever had and fan-freakin’-tastic. We never made it to 3 Floyd’s that day, but we did discover a new South suburban indie snack standby located in an unusual place, so Yeah, I’d still consider it a win of a day.

Thank you for you convenient location. My stupid ass failed to relieve myself before starting off on my drive to northwest Indiana. Thank you for having some clean restrooms and thank you for providing me with some Starbucks as I needed the caffeine!
