Been going there for years, always get great service. I live their skillets & they’re price range is reasonable. I may need to venture outside of the skillets & get the waffles next time I go. Not a fan of the grits or rice, but that’s just me. I like mine to be seasoned, lol.

I always pass by this restaurant since it’s located near my son’s school. My husband and I decided to go for breakfast. When we walked in we were immediately seated and given water. The atmosphere was nice, it was a little crowded but still cozy. We glanced over the menu and found what we wanted. We placed our order and received our food maybe 10 – 15 minutes later. My husband asked for cheese in his hash browns, but they forgot, no big deal. As I began to eat the food was very bland, my hash browns were burnt, my pancakes were semi cold and the ham tasted funny. However I enjoyed the eggs and bacon. Maybe it was an off day, but I wasn’t impressed. I usually have great luck based off of the ratings on Unilocal, but this time it was a no go.

After being seated we didn’t see our waitress for 20 minutes later. We had to ask the busboys for water. When the waitress finally came to take our order, we ordered coffee with our meal. After 15 minutes more, we had to flag a different waitress to get coffee. When our food came, my girlfriends order was wrong(light jalapeños, buckwheat pancakes). We had to continuously ask for butter, cream, sugar etc. The food was good and plentiful. When we went to pay the check, the man working the register was handed our credit card. After he finished the charge, he didn’t hand it back to my girlfriend’s hand, he dropped it on the counter and had a very indifferent attitude. After this experience, we probably will not visit this location again. We’ve received better service at Denny’s and IHOP.

This restaurant turn out to be a small bit of brightness for an otherwise slightly abysmal trip to Illinois. The place was pretty busy when we arrived, but we got seated very quickly for a Sunday morning. It was roughly a 5 minute wait time for a table for 2. The wait staff was very friendly and responsive to us in spite of how full the place was. The food came out in a timely manner. It was hot and delicious. Menu offerings are somewhat standard fair for a family restaurant\IHOP. We were there for breakfast so I can’t comment for the dinner menu unfortunately, but I wouldn’t expect that it was lacking in quality. While I don’t anticipate being in this geographical location again I definitely would eat here again with enthusiasm. NOTE: The parking lot wasn’t an issue for parking when we arrived, but it was jam packed on our exit. There were cars double parking in areas that were assigned as driving lanes. I would recommend coming during off peak hours or carpooling as you may find that inconvenient.

Love coming here! The staff is very pleasant and I just love Patty, she is the best! Not to mention how great the food is. Never a bad experience here.

Restaurant was just okay… it didn’t appear to be the cleanest and was a bit unorganized. While it wasn’t the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to, I did make a mental note to never return. 3 stars are for customer service… which was good.

Ordered Eggs Benedict to go. Currently waiting for pick up. Not sure if the food taste good or not, But already deeply impressed by the hospitality here. All servers are so friendly and welcoming. Greet customers with a big smile: D the second they stepped in. Not very common nowadays. I was sitting at the bar waiting for my food. I have my hot coffee with me & the lady offered to refill it before I leave. And another gentleman came and asked if I want some water while waiting. This is what we called over and beyond!

Dined here yesterday for breakfast with a group of ten. I had phoned the day before, to give a heads up about our group coming in, and spoke to the owner Patte. When I arrived our table was waiting. Awesome service !! We were not the usual diners because we hadn’t seen each other in a year, some longer, so there were plenty of hugs & laughing going on. Our server Lela was FANTASTIC. All orders were correct and all of our requests for additional this and that were met with a smile and sure, no problem. She checked on us often to make sure that all of our needs were met. THEFOODWASDELICIOUS. We left with full stomachs and plenty of smiles, and all in agreement that this is gonna be our go to spot. Thank you Patte. Thank you Lela. Thank you to the cooks. May you continue to be blessed.

I had the eggs scrambles soft with the crabcakes. The eggs were hard and. the crabcake was just bad. I was really taken back by the hostess. She was not welcoming at all.

The food is typically good. unfortunately, today my friend had a bad experience. We explained to the waitress that the breakfast skillet was not satisfactory, and quite dry… We went on to explain that the bacon, and toast had been eaten out of the skillet… The waitress directed us to the manager/owner…She was a NIGHTMARE… She began to literally raise her voice at my friend… She was being extremely agressive, and it appeared that she was chastising my friend for not conveying this to the waitress earlier on… I began to explain that she thought she would eat the food, but she no longer had an appetite for the meal… The manager/owner began to raise her voice, and because of the language barrier we could not understand her… I did understand that at one point she stated, «Next time you don’t wait until last minute!!» I simply stated that it won’t be a next time! Needless to say very unprofessional, and the manager owner was unconcerned with our experience, because as she put it «Been here for 17 years!!!» So the opinion of one patron is unimportant and irrevelent. Horrible management and customer service! I will never return regardless of how good the food is!

I visited for a late lunch on a Thursday and ordered spinach tomato and bacon eggs benedict with hash browns and cheesy grits. Delicious!!! My server was Monica and she was so patient with my indecisiveness and my friend’s inquiries. She always was smiling every time she walked by and served other tables and mine. I am glad I tried this place out. It’s a modest size and the décor is warm, clean and inviting. Loved the prices as well!

Very good place. Pretty, clean restaurant. The food was quickly served and the waitress was attentive. As a group, we had the juevos rancheros(awesome), buckwheat pancakes, eggs with ham, and BLT club with cheese. All the food was very good. My one gripe was that the fries that came with the BLT were not cooked all the way and were soggy. Also, it came with soup, so I chose chicken gumbo because I’m not a dumpling fan. The soup was definitely NOT even remotely a gumbo. Had it not been for the soup, I’d have definitely given this a 5 star rating. Sort of pricey, so be prepared to spend a bit more than your average place. Nonetheless, worth a try! Response to comment: Hello, my group and I were there on Tuesday morning around, roughly, 10. I love any restaurant that takes time to figure stuff out, so I truly appreciate your reaching out. You guys did a great job. Had the fries and gumbo been a bit different, you’re at 5 stars for sure. Keep up the great work. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful environment, me and my wife were greeted at the door. Very fast but yet perfect food service, food was very well prepped and delicious. If you are looking for an early morning meal I recommend this place!!! I ordered the corned beef on rye and it was perfect I recommend it, my wife had the vegetarian omelet with only egg whites it was a huge portion and more than she could eat she recommends it if you want to fill your belly up.

My mom was raving about this place that is near her so I had to come and see what she was talking about. We came by on a nice Saturday morning around 10:30 which is around the time they start getting busy it seems like. There was maybe a 15 minute wait as they gave us a number when we walked in and asked for a table. They guy handing out the numbers seem very quiet and did not give out a time frame, but you can see they give out the numbers in proper order as we noticed the group in front of us had 19 and we had 20. Once seated the waitress instantly brought us water and took our order. I got the denver omelet(egg whites is an additional $ 1.39) with hash browns, wheat toast and a side of bacon(4 pieces). Very good and filled me up. Food didn’t take too long to come out so I wasn’t hungry for long, but I demolished the dish! Not too expensive and they have a low calorie/vegetarian section on the menu if you are someone that watches their intake. I like this place and will come more often.

Really good food with fast and friendly service. I like that they have a vegetarian and low calorie section of the menu. The parking lot is small and sometimes hard to maneuver through. You can call ahead for carry out.

Oh where to start! COMEHERE! It is located in the small village of South Holland, next to Oak Forest, but it is crowded! For good reason, it is a great place for breakfast! All day long! The waitresses are all friendly and fast service. Plenty of room for big groups. The food though, wow! Amazing! About 10 of us were in from California and staying in South Holland for the week, we read the great reviews and had to check out. So happy we did! We ended up coming back multiple times! Let me make some recommendations: HAWAIIFIVE-OOMELETTE SPINACH, BACON&TOMATOBENEDICT any crêpe and any pancake with fresh fruit THEMEDITERRANEANSALAD and try try try the chilaquiles!!! Fresh orange juice is delicious but Illinois does not seem to know what a shirley temple is, its ok though. Next time i visit, i am stopping by here for sure!
