Expensive and not very good food. The service was slow. 3 hours for dinner for 7 people. I had the bang bang shrimp and Cajun chicken and sausage with pasta Alfredo. The shrimp were small and I got 6 for $ 6.99 these shrimp are 20 – 30 count which is $ 7/​lb. The pasta needs flavor, the only saving grace was the sausage. The only reason we enjoyed this place was because of Lizzy, the bartender, great smile and drinks…

I wish we’d had the same experience as others. Our dinner took an hour to come, and it wasn’t very warm, It must have been sitting under a heat lamp too long, then taken out and sat, because my chicken and my daughter’s was too tough to eat. Just tough as leather. The tomato sauce on the pasta was straight out of a can. It was prom night, so we cut them some slack, but the diners not in the prom room were pretty much second class citizens when it came to the poor overworked waitress and management.
The band for the night hauled their gear through the dining room nonstop, hitting my husband’s chair no matter how far he scooted in. Really? The place had no entrance for the band other than through the diners?
Whole place has a very tired eighties vibe.
We will never go back. Too expensive for an awful meal.

So we found this place on the way back from DC it is an unexpected gem. The food is great the serving staff was nice and attentive. I had the prime rib sandwich which was served with fries the sandwich was really good and the fries seemed hand cut which is always a plus. My wife had the brisket and chicken sandwich with a salad the sandwich was delicious and the greens for the salad were very fresh. If you are in the area and like us hungry stop in and check this place out allot of interesting items on the menu I would love to come back and try.

Stopped in for appetizers and cocktails. I had a Miller light draft And then a Bloody Mary served with pickled that I thought was rather tasty but my companion thought it was too Spicy. Décor is nice but for menu prices the tablecloth should have not been this wrinkled. Ordered spinach and artichoke dip and bang bang shrimp which was a bit slow coming out.
The dip was nothing to write home about. No big chunks of artichoke like I would do at home, but for 6.99 the portion was good. The shrimp were small. Served on a bed of lettuce. My companion loved them but I would rather have steamed shrimp. Too much sauce for me.
Plus the bathroom had lotion and hairspray and lint roller; suave hairspray but hey if ya need it it’s a blessing.
The waiter was great, best part. Attentive and funny and super helpful knowing the dinner specials early before they had printed the menu.
I would come here again but order differently.

Great Calamari.: great boom boom (or bang bang?) shrimp but get the sauce on the side… Best damn potato soup I ever had and I absolutely love the blackened tuna steak when it’s on special. I had the blue cheese encrusted filet one time and was completely disappointed for its lack of everything and burnt taste from the blackened blue cheese on top. When I told my friends this they were insisting I give this steak another try because they felt it just must have been an off night. I guess I’ll try again and update. Service always awesome here both at the tables and at the bar.

On a road trip from Baltimore to Charlotte, NC. Wasn’t sure where to stop for a quick meal. Found Kahill’s on Unilocal and was pleasantly surprised. Our server Kat was the sweetest. We ordered a few apps for dinner. You must try the Big Bang Shrimp. Service and food was great. To make it even better the restaurant is not far off 85.

On our way to visit family and decided to ask Unilocal for dinner advice. Found Kahill’s and thought «this sounds good».
We had a pork chop that rivaled any big city place we have ever had the pleasure to have eaten. The menu is broad from inexpensive to more costly but worth every penny!
Wish we lived closer!!! Yum
We also had a seafood/​bacon/​cheese dish served on mashed potatoes that came with steamed seasoned veggies that was also very good! I could go on but you need to get moving and go to Kahill’s now!

This place was gross. The food wasn’t fresh. The $ 33 filet mignon smelled/​tasted gamey and the seafood smelled like it just came from the ocean. The only thing that was fresh were the vegetables. If you’re passing through this town, just go to Five Guys.

Best prime rib I’ve ever had. It’s slightly blackened giving it superb grilled flavored crust. The vegetable medley was flavorfully sautéed, not just steamed and bland like most. The salads plentiful, beautifully presented. Very gourmet like, I like my restaurants. The price is reasonable too. First restaurant I’ve seen with chargers for electric cars.

Amazingly delicious food! I was searching for a lunch stop on Unilocal during our drive and found Kahill’s. We were a bit worried when we only saw a couple of cars in the parking lot at noon on Sunday but went in. I ate the prime rib sandwich based on reviews and was not disappointed. Very nice slow roasting and perfect caramelized onions and cheese to compliment the fresh bread. My husband got a special — pot roast wrap. He couldn’t stop raving about how good it was and with my bite I agreed. They have a great selection of craft beers. Friendly service. We will stop here again if we are driving through around lunch or dinnertime.

Nice quiet place right off of I-​85 (at least at 1pm on a Monday). The burgers were delicious and I had the prime rib sandwich which was great as well. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Good beer selection on tap and in bottles as well. I brought my 4 yr old and 4 month old and the place seems very kid friendly. There is also a very nice patio area to eat outside although we did not. Great place!
I’m editing my post and adding an additional star because my daughter left her favorite stuffed animal at our table. We didn’t realize it was missing until much later into our trip back to PA. I called this morning and they are sending it up!

Traveling down 85N and didn’t want eat at a chain, so Unilocal came through… yet again. Kahill’s was just what we were looking for! Grilled Scallop Salad and Oscar Filet met our needs. A nice find right off 85!

I just love this place. Perfect bar atmosphere and ambiance. We sat at the bar and had dinner and drinks. Great value. My wife had the peel and eat shrimp and lived it and I had the Big Bang Shrimp appetizer and a bowl of French Onion Soup. The big bang shrimp was amazing. Next time I am ordering two. Lots of fun locals. We need to find a reason to go back to South Hill VA. This place is less than two blocks from the Love’s Truck Stop so we could walk. Nice.

I was really shocked how a place can go down hill. I travel to South Hill 4 6 times a year and have always enjoyed the food here. Came in and sat for 15 minutes waiting for waitress then she came and didn’t have a pen. I wss alone the order was easy. I asked for onion soup and for a med rare burger. 20 minutes later I got up to ask for bread or something and to ask about my soup. Well I got cool onion soup server with a teaspoon. Then the well done burger shows up. I sent everything back and they had the nerve to charge me. Had 2 spoonfuls of soup and none of the burger There was no management around. At least the barmaid tried to makebupbfor it by offering me dessert. I wanted dinner. Oh well off to Brian. This will be my last visit here and it is sad because I used to like them. Alot and always recommend them
