The peaches and tomatoes I bought were so good. They have been lasting awhile, too. I bought yummy pumpkin butter. The old 1970s park cracked me up. I wonder if anyone actually lets their kids go in it. Brought me back to the good old days, though!

Getting away from everyday city life to enjoy the fresh air in Michigan! This adorable fresh market was just the answer to hungry tummies… we thought. The angry mean woman working at the counter made it incredibly difficult to spend money here. I choose to support local farms and businesses and to choose healthy snacks on the road. But the bad service and attitude is not cool. The little old school play ground was cute. The place is kitschy and the cherries were good but I don’t recommend.

This is my favorite stop every time I visit my parents in Michigan. The fresh produce is amazing — especially the cherries, sweet corn and the honey crisp apples. Best apples on earth! Then, they have all sorts of canned items — jams, salsas, and even maple syrup. The pies are outrageously good and usually still warm when you purchase them. If my Grandma approves, you know they are good. I’m able to even walk my dog around their grounds. Clean bathroom, cold beverages and super friendly staff. Cash only but they have an ATM on site.

Made a stop at Dutch Farm Market on our way back to Indiana. Picked up some great tasting Honey Crisp apples and a small loaf of zucchini nut bread. very nice farm market.

I came back a year later and just wanted to clarify that some things here are good, and some are bad. I got amazing, luscious blueberries here but the garlic I got was totally off. It wasn’t apparent or i wouldn’t have bought it, but none of it was useable. All cloves rotted or dry. That was disappointing. Avoid the garlic, and see if you can get tastes of something before you buy, just to make sure!

Friends and I were on our way home from a recent trip in MI and decided to stop at the Dutch Farm Market after seeing signs on the highway. Charming little market right off the highway. They had a variety of fresh vegetables and lots of apples since they are now coming into season. My friend bought a huge bag of honey crisps which were so good! Lots of bakery goods there too. Outside they have a playground area which is great if you are traveling with children and a few tables and benches to relax on. I’m glad we had the opportunity to check this place out. Also, they only accept cash and checks but they do have an atm machine inside.
