A wonderful place to bring kids, pup and grownups. And what a contrast to another community«farm» in Ipswich. Green Meadows has a terrific staff and operates with a open philosophy which honors the community, the founder(s) and the environment. It is a breath of fresh air. There are greenhouses, rows of various seasonal plantings, a small store with produce(this varies as they are direct products of the farm) and farm animals. While some have mentioned pricey — it’s relative to operating cost vs. something like a commercial enterprise. There is also history here — Gen. Patton and the legacy he left to the people of Hamilton and Essex Co. We love the place and when we are there we try to take others with us to visit.

I absolutely love this farm. We do the small CSA share. I’m impressed with the variety, quality and abundance. I enjoy picking my own tomatoes, peas, beans, herbs and berries(strawberries, blueberries, raspberries). The pasture raised chickens are great. People who work there are friendly. Nice weekly newsletter. Great place!

I hardly know where to begin. We are repeat CSA(Community Supported Agriculture) customers this summer, and absolutely loved it last year. The produce is as fresh as it gets. I love that I can have complete confidence in Farmer Andrew and his crew. In an age of E. Coli outbreaks in burgers, peanut butter, and salsa, I appreciate that I can visit my farm and see how my food is produced. They only outsource for certain items, and those are carefully chosen LOCAL community partnerships. In addition to the CSA and for-purchase produce they also have a great bakery selection, pasture-raised meats, soups made in their own kitchen, a small selection of local grocery items, and a few books /gift items. Outdoors the kids can feed the pigs or watch the chickens’ antics. One of our absolute favorite spots!

Pick your own blueberries!!! YAY! And a new chef in the kitchen — they now have more prepared food offerings and even better sandwiches. Had a caprese with fresh mozarella and right-from-the-field tomatoes and basil today that was out of this world. Last week the kids tried their homemade mac n cheese(in the fridge in a little metal tin to heat in your oven) and said it was the best they’d had. And they are self-styled mac n cheese connoiseurs. One of the keys to their sandwich success is that A&J king bread they use — which in itself makes me weak in the knees. Put an old shoe between two slices of that and I’d probably eat it.

We’ve had a crop share for years now, and we rarely have to buy veggies in the summer. The farm itself is a family friendly oasis. A great place to take kids for pick your own or their planned activities, to see the animals are get to know where their veggies come from. A great resource. If you want cheap, well, you get what you pay for.

I just started the CSA and I’m a big fan – so much! The prices in the store are too high. Overall, I give it a 4 because their CSA is a 5. The rest, meh.

I love this farm. It’s staffed by passionate people who know their stuff, and improvements are happening year to year. The farmstand has a decent selection of dry goods and some great local cheeses to choose from, grass-fed meats from other area farms, as well as a small selection of gift/household items. The CSA program is as you’d expect, and they also offer fruit, cut flower, and meat shares. They were a garden-saver in the spring, offering seedlings for sale for those of us who forgot to start our own seed(not me, oh no). All told: a wonderful source for naturally, locally produced foods. They also are kid-friendly, with many events designed for the shorter ones.
