Family Pizza and Grinders

Fairly good pizza. The restaurant it a bit small, service is a little slow, but overall the food was good. Nice, quiet spot for some good pizza, cold beer and whatever sports game they have on the TV.

someone who didn’t know how to make a basic italian sub filled my order. the sandwich was missing so many things, including the double meat and veggies I paid for. I basically got a limp ham sandwich. very disappointing. won’t order again.

Affordable pricing AND great portions. All the food was steaming hot and delicious, best pizza place we’ve been to in a while. Huge slices too, as well as very short wait to get food. Highly recommend it.

Ordered takeout only from here a few times. Pizza is really good, although I’m not crazy about how they always cut it into squares (even if it’s a round pie). Garlic bread with cheese is ridiculously good. Had a couple subs which were just okay. It’s nice having a solid pizza shop so close.

Huge portions, cheap prices, and quick delivery. What more can a college student ask for?
I went in to get food 1x probably it was fine, small though. Clearly delivery is their main attraction.

The pizza isn’t objectively bad, I just don’t enjoy the sauce for some reason. Also a bit greasier than I usually like. Have yet to try the grinders.

I went to visit this restaurant tonight since I remember going there growing up. I remember it being awesome… nice people, great pizza, etc. Tonight… it was nothing like what I remember. We ate inside and waited a few minutes until finally we went and told them we were there. We got soda and beer… beer was served by a young girl, who I questioned whether she was old enough to serve alcohol. We ordered a large pizza and a salad. Salad came out fine… pizza came out, not how we ordered. The waitress tried to blame us for mistake. Untrue. We ordered it correctly, she didn’t listen. They remade the pizza. While waiting for the new pizza, we ordered one more beer, which was served with about 3″ of foam (which makes me think this girl isn’t of legal age to serve alcohol). When we were done with our pizza, we wanted it boxed up. When we got the box, we opened it to find all the pieces of pizza piled on top of one another. When we asked fora larger box, another girl came over… didn’t say anything to us and took the box to fix it. She was rude. We could see the two girls go to the back and explain the situation to an older man who shook his head side to side. Rude again.
Overall, this place is terrible. Don’t go there. The management is careless and so are their employees. Never going back.

Stopped by for dinner with the 3 kids. Great little place. Small bar, and a beer or wine, with only 7 other tables. I would go there again. Most excellent pizza.

Local italian place. Great for a quick bite. I’ve had their pizza and chicken grinders. Both are great. Huge slices of pizza. They do have a beer and wine license which is awesome. Wonderful staff and quick service. I’m a fan!

Came here with a group of 6 we ordered 2 pies and boy was it huge, great service, central aired and cheap prices. Wish I took a pic I will b back when I’m in the area.

Great people with a true family atmosphere with the best pizza in the area tried & true!

This pizza is great! Thin crust, tangy sauce. When you ask for well done, they actually do it. I am a fan.
Keep in mind, their sizes are enormous. A large is actually a party size, by most standards.

The pizza and customer service here is terrific! I wanted pizza delivered at 10:45am as a surprise to my brother (his lunch hour is early) and despite regularly opening at 11:00, the co-​owner Nick agreed to open early, write Happy Birthday on the pizza boxes, and deliver hot pizza in time for my brother’s lunch break! I was amazed at the service and my brother loved the pizza surprise. If you want a local pizza place that will go the extra mile (they never asked for anything extra and seemed to enjoy being in on a birthday surprise), try Family Pizza!

How come all the positive reviews are filtered here? This is great pizza. I have probably never had anything else from them, but I grew up here and make a point of having Family pizza every time I go back. There’s something unique about the tomato sauce. They don’t use a ton — just the right amount and the flavor is amazing. Second best pizza in Western Mass (sorry, Capri Pizza in Holyoke is the best in the world).

When you need a pizza, and you want a good one, but you only have a few bucks in your pocket, Family Pizza is the answer! They are fast, the pizza is good and affordable.

Being that I go to a certain South Hadley college (prob the ONLY college in S Hadley.) I’ve had Family Pizza on several occasions. I remembered being amazed by the square slices that come with the party sized pizza. The pizza can be a little soggy… but it’s bearable. And the garlic bread is AMAZING seriously.
