Been to a fresh from the farm event that they had this weekend… Was a fun day to spend with the lil one .farm animals, music, face paints, eggs made to order… which btw was the best omelet I’ve ever had… Impulsively I bought a dozen fresh eggs. They also had jam tasting … Homemade Jams from the produce at the farm … A 1000 kinds… Crazy flavors atomic peppers, pumpkin pie, pear blueberry, chocolate raspberry, caramel apple… overall a day well spent. They have a farm stand all year round where u can buy fresh eggs just outta the coup or fresh produce of the season. Everyone on the farm is so friendly… For them it’s not a job, it’s a way of life.

I could — ehem… I *did* — eat their Apple Pie Jam out of the jar with a spoon. The eggs are great, staff is super friendly, and the canned goods are to die for. They also have a lot of fun events and farm to table dinners worth checking out.

I’m thoroughly excited about my first pick up on Sunday this week. I joined my first CSA share this year. If I can keep up, I’ll come back for the next year. Can’t wait. I need to change my diet for the better. I live in So. Glastonbury and never thought to join the CSA share until now. I prefer farm fresh vegetables than retail stores. My spouse will have to deal with the fresh farm vegetables and fruits we get weekly. I will share extra with my colleague. I’ll give my final opinion toward the end of the season.
