The Habit Burger Grill

First time here. Let see how the food is so far costumer service its great. IT looks pretty clean I live so close from here if i like the food all be coming here often.

pretty good place to eat i recommend this place if the in out line is too long. go for the double cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Yummy also staff is number 1

Ok so I love the Habit. Today I came in to the one in South Gate and America was so sweet. I love it when you’re able to tell them what you’re craving and they are able to suggest a great meal! I got the chicken club sandwich. Thank you Habit for making great burgers and thank you America for the amazing customer service

It seems like everyone in LA always wants to go to In-​N-​Out Burger. For those moments you are not trying to do a «touristy» thing, come to The Habit Burger Grill. This is a franchise location, but with over 100 locations in California alone, this state is probably your best bet of finding one.
The Habit Burger Grill is very typical to most fast food style experiences. You walk in, read the menu on the overhead board, place an order, wait and finally get your food. Your burger with fries and a drink meal should cost around $ 9. The difference between The Habit and most of fast food experiences, is that this place is damn good. The burger is not by any means, gourmet, but it has a taste of that of a $ 15 dollar burger. The vegetables are fresh and gives it a nice juicy crunch to the burger. In addition to a good burger, the fries here are phenomenal. The meal comes with basic fries, but you can sub out for an additional fee. Overall, a great experience.

It was my first time going there and I thought it was going to be pricey and I was very wrong. The habit is great quality for a great price and I highly recommend the Santa Barbara. It’s so good and will fill you up in an instant. But it’s over a thousand calories. But when you’re eating that burger you don’t even care how many calories do you have. Have to try it again it was amazing and I highly recommended

My first time eating at The Habit and this one did it right. The cashier was friendly, the food was prompt and they allowed me to order my Tuna grilled to a perfect medium rare. The tempura green beans were on point. I am in love with this place.

I met up a friend for lunch, and met halfway between the South bay and Alhambra. I wanted to try out a new burger place, and we decided on The Habit.
As I walked in here, I got the feeling that this place is a step up form Carl’s Jr. The menu items were somewhat limited, however. I ordered the chicken burger, with grilled onions, mozzarella, mayo, and a burger bun. The burger was actually quite delicious, and I got some jalapenos for that extra kick.
To drink, I had their iced tea. The tea was ok, but was probably an aspartame bomb. The burger was perfect, however, so I will give this place 4 stars. My friends did not stomach the beef burger too well, but most beef burgers have fillers in them. Hence I don’t touch em unless they’re from the Counter.
A great place to have lunch, I will come back here for their chicken burger. But next time I will opt for water instead of tea.

Food was good but it was freezing in there we had to eat outside we told the cashier but she was freezing herself.

Nice and clean, two things that are very important to me. The food is prepared fresh and the portions are just about right. Fast and healthy alternative to the other junk around here.

awesome awesome! first of all when your inside you forget where your at and that is South Gate. but secondly wait staff is very pleasant and informative about their menu. lastly the food was delicious. I mean this place has got their menu down to the point you can order a veggie burger and want more! (most veggie burgers are disappointing) best The Habit So far.

In search of a delicious burger??? I love that they cook the burgers there fresh and to order… the meat isn’t frozen! I love love their onion rings with bbq sauce. and fresh flavored ice tea on a hot date~refreshing!

Ehhh, burgers were okay… a bit on the pricey side when the quality is just pretty close to In N Out. Hubby got the double charbuger with bacon and i got the charburger only with drinks and fries, the total came up to about $ 25. The burgers were big, it was even hard to take a bite. But there was nothing special about them. Just go to In N Out and save a bit more money.

Love this place. I always order their veggie burger and I’m never disappointed. Greenbean fries r also very good n strawberry lemonade cucumber drink, the best!

Came in today with a craving for a good burger, and The Habit delivered higher than expected ordered a double char and asked the cashier if I could modified it a little bit she look a little bit like what???, asked to please include mushrooms and avocado which she happily did. Now when the burger came out every customer was looking at it like wow that’s what you call a burger, let me tell you it was it sure was the best ever.
Staff is very friendly and food comes out fast, overall place is very clean love the fact that they have a bar where you can get as many yellow or banana peppers to your hearts content. Burger lovers this is the place to go if you are around South Gate, been to a lot of burger joints but the habit you just became my number one and yes I know In N Out is in the same plaza but sorry I just got a new Habit.
Thanks to the habit for delivering a great experience and awesome food they sure stand up to their slogan «Respect the burger», I’m happy to have a local place here is South Gate to stop by when you are feeling hungry and want great food at a great price.

I first visited The Habit having high expectations. Now I am not one to be knit picking, but my overall visit just did not live up to the hype. For me personally, the burger was just average.
Located right in the new Azalea shopping center, this is one of many food joints in the area. People have made a big deal about the opening of The Habit, especially one that was nearby. Believe it or not, I first heard of The Habit from a friend who tried them in Oxnard. I decided to try them out once and for all once I herd of their arrival here in my hood.
I had their teriyaki charbroiled burger. It was definitely good in taste, but for some reason, it just did not hit me as impressive. The burger tasted a bit dry to me, even though it has plenty of condiments to pair it along with. I had a meal there which would up being roughly around $ 9. The staff here are nice but there is often no place to sit, considering the fact that it is always full. There is plenty of parking available.
By no means am I knocking this place. They do have good priced meals and great tasting burgers I’m sure. I did however try another location a while back and had the same results. However, I am not one to bad mouth business, franchise or family owned. My experience here was good however. I probably will try it again because everybody deserves another chance.

The place is upscale for a burger joint; everyone is friendly and personable. Food is tasty, and there’s a pretty nice variety for a hamburger joint, unlike say an In & Out or Five Guys, which pretty much do just the burgers. These guys have salads, albacore sandwiches, a variety of burger combos, and it doesn’t have a fast-​food feel to it.
Whoever does their interior design is good at coming up with varied seating options – open booth, stool at a high table, more enclosed booth, outdoors – but everything ends up feeling a bit cramped, and you find yourself standing behind someone else as you move around grabbing napkins and condiments, at the same time as you’re in someone else’s way.
Once you sit down, though, these juicy meals are delicious!

Daaayyum, you’d best believe that this place lives up to the hype. Bomb food and prompt service? Check. Really good menu that gives you reason to return and try new stuff? Check. Nice atmosphere that doesn’t have the typical vibe of a fast food burger restaurant? Check.
The original cheeseburger was great. The burger was well-​crafted, and not sloppy, and really delicious. A plethora of flavors that comes together for a huge taste-​fest.
Now the big question that fanboys and critics keep asking is «is it better than In-​N-​Out?» I honestly do not know the answer to that. All I know is this place is damn delicious, and you need to get your butt over here and try it.

Great burger, you could built your own burger they have salads and 3 types of teas, out side eating and other foods plus great music.
Reason for 4 star hamburger, to small I ate it in less then 4 bites.

The food here is just amazing! I’ve tried various burgers and the turkey sandwich and everything has been consistent and extremely flavorful! I always have leftovers BC I can never finish my food. The employees are very nice and friendly here which I love. I enjoy sitting outside in their little patio area watching the cars zoom by. Many people compare the Habit to Umami Burger and Stacked and I’d choose the Habit over the others any day! Happy Unilocaling!

The first time I visited a Habit location was last year and I went to one out in Torrance. I didn’t think the burgers were great then and I still don’t think there is anything to rave about.
My girlfriend had never tried a burger from this place so I suggested we eat there so she can at least cross that off of her burger bucket list. There are several things to critic about this place. If you get an order of union rings you will literally LITERALLY only get about 5 – 7 rings in your order. I was a fool not to take a picture to have proof, but trust me, it isn’t worth it. The burgers are average. The meat tastes good. Different from your normal frozen patties, but not worth it in my opinion.
I got 2 number 1’s, an ice cream cone for $ 1 and an order of onion rings (I had forgotten from my previous visit not to order this) and our order came out to $ 22. That doesn’t break the bank, but for a burger I could tell you about a couple of other places where you can get more bang for your buck. You have the option of going to In N Out, there is also the place across the street, there is Hamburger City Grill in Downey, Tom’s Jr in South Gate. All of those places, I think, have way better burgers than this place.
The service was great and everyone was nice, helpful and attentive so A+ for that, but the food unfortunately falls short.
